Service is amazing and decor is definitely different. Cosy place near the station with free parking after 4:30pm. We got the mixed grill for two with some extra kebabs and bread. Everything was great and well seasoned. Also reasonably priced.

Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Douresh went above and beyond in welcoming us. My family and I love eating Persian food and Cave was top notch! The kebabs were juicy, the rice was fluffy, and everything was served quickly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a delicious dinner in the Paddington area!

We had high hopes for this place having read the reviews but unfortunately our experience was not good. We first had to ask could we move tables, as we were sat straight in front of the door on our own, when the back of the restaurant was slightly busier - it wasn’t the best atmosphere to start off the dinner. They shouldn’t have a table located there in my opinion, especially in winter, it was freezing. The food overall lacked basic seasoning and was incredibly bland. The aubergine starter (£8.85) we could taste no garlic, and it needed salt and pepper. The Chelo Gosht (£19.95) was really watery and needed seasoning. Also worth nothing not once but twice we were told by two different waiters not to order or eat dishes as they were ‘disgusting’ - I know this was said as a joke but probably not the right tone to set when we are about to eat in the restaurant. This place isn’t cheap and for the quality you are getting it’s just not worth it. We were disappointed leaving. The interior is quite cool, but it’s not enough to make us return. We sadly won’t be back.

Had a lovely dinner, we had a selection of Lamb dishes which were all lovely, meat was cooked to perfection. The interiors are also beautiful, where u feel as though your in one of the caves in Cappadocia. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing food, we tried 4 different types of Lamb and they were all succulent and very tasteful. The restaurant is very cosy and kid friendly. We would highly recommend them.

The warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail created an experience I’ve never had before. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making every moment feel special. If you’re looking for an authentic Persian dining experience that goes above and beyond, The Cave is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return!

We come here quite often and sometimes order in. The food is the best in St Margarets without question. There is also parking nearby and the location is all-round adorable, like a fairytale. Everything on the menu deserves a shoutout — the fattoush, both yoghurt spreads, the bread (hand-baked and it shows!), the amasing lemon and mint Persian tea and the baked aubergine (mirza ghasemi). The Chelo Gosht lamb dish and the fattoush are the best — the sauce the lamb is soaked in is next-level, absolutely divine. The restaurant has a lovely, unique decor, feels like you’re in the mountains (apart from the gorgeous bread oven). The desserts are really unique, unlike anything we’ve ever had: the makhloot, which combines bastani (Persian ice cream with saffron and milk) and faloodeh (Persian noodle lemon sorbet), is a must-have. We also really enjoyed the bakhlava. Will be back asap, unforgettable experience, 10/10.

Great authentic Persian food and great friendly staff

As an Iranian person I know what a good Iranian food should taste and look like and I can honestly say the food and service here at cave has been one of the best in London I have experienced. In particular their Barg was outstanding.

Our meal at The Cave was truly enjoyable. The mixed mezze stood out with its freshness and bold flavors, offering a satisfying variety that was surprisingly filling. The ghormeh sabzi was rich and aromatic, capturing traditional flavors beautifully, while the mixed grill was cooked to perfection, with tender and well-seasoned meats. The attention to detail in each dish made the experience memorable—definitely worth a visit!

Went there before the England / South Africa game and they seated eight of us. Meal was superb we s had starters and the soltani dish was brilliant. Service was good, toilets very clean. Staff good and efficient and friendly with advice and good value. Excellent value for money and we were full, thank you.

Dariush was and friendly and welcoming host and recommended the most delicious dishes for us. We had the most delicious stews, garlic naan with amazing aubergine dip and the portions were very generous. We have taken the rest home in a doggy bag. The restaurant is gorgeous inside and and food is absolutely delicious. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Just had a dinner with friends. Amazing food, very friendly service, we felt so welcome here! Babaganush was great, mixed grill for 4 is really good value for money, kebab Torsh is absolutely delicious, meat was marinated in pomegranate sauce and was so tender! Will be back

The driver told me you forgot my tip! First time I came across this, I felt embarrassed. Please remind your drivers whoever wants to pay tip will pay. They shouldn’t ask the customers for a tip.

One star. One chilli sauce. For four meat dishes. This was after leaving a note for at least four . Rang them,never answered,never called back. Pathetic . They will be getting the meat back tomorrow . As a business owner i am often called about fake reviews being added to my profile !!

the chicken wraps I order for take away are fantastic. All the breads are fresh and made in front of you (I'd go just for these!) and the marinated chicken is delicious. A hidden little gem with lovely service too.

We ordered takeaway from here. The food was to die for. I got the koobideh wrap and Fatoush and my partner got some prawns, garlic naan and a chicken wrap. No notes, all delicious! My partner went to collect and said the service was great and people very nice. Please get out there and support their business!

Always had good food from this place but this time the quality wasn’t there. Not sure if they’ve changed their chef. Hopefully they improve it soon

Not great flavours. The side salad was an old, the cucumber clearly macerated with the dressing.

We found this restaurant simply because they have a bread oven in the window which is very rare indeed. A free taster of their wonderful garlic Persian bread had us hooked and we came back in the evening! Amazing food… hot and cold starters were extraordinary and the grilled chicken and lamb in the mixed grill are the best I have eaten outside of the Middle East. Cave restaurant lives up to its name in a good fun way regarding decor and the staff are generous, helpful and attentive.

Try it once and you won’t be disappointed, best food for all kinds of likings, friendly staff, very clean, and best of all, everything is made fresh, we had3 different kinds of kebab and they were all delicious, even the bread is made fresh before being served. A Must try.

I've just had the worst vegetarian food for 30 years - a plate of black mush tasting like school cabbage smelled in the 60s, laced with an acrid ingredient or just overcooked. There wasn't anything distinguishable in it and no taste of vegetables. Seeing I hadn't eaten much the owner came over and explained that it's a Persian stew that normally would have lamb in it. Well that might have improved it. The starter of humous was OK, bit bland but very nice fresh bread. My friends said their meat and fish dishes were OK. But £16 for the cat-sick stew and rice? I won't be back.
