Timeless iconic classic that seemingly everyone has enjoyed, over the years. Now, sadly, on the list for redevelopment into flats, I believe, this long serving bastion of the community is, outrageously, soon to be no longer with us. Who hasn’t parked up in Old Redding car park and had a drink in the beer garden on a hot summer’s day/eve? Whilst the views from the proposed flats will no doubt be spectacular, this fantastic piece of local history will be sorely missed.

Service was good, food was nice. Portion size a little small and menu selection was limited

Service was good, food was good atmosphere was good. The only issie is we had to end our evening early as the local council close the only place you can park which is a real shame. Do not understand why the local council would close a car park so early, makes no sense at all.

The Case is Altered is one of my favourite places to eat and enjoy with family and friends. It's a fantastic pub that offers excellent food and the ambience is superb in every detail, not just the physical building, which is very constable and inviting, but also it's surrounded by beautiful views and nature. If you love nature this place is perfect because, perhaps, after your meal you can hike in the Harrow Weald Common nature reserve, and enjoy and extraordinary trail in one of the most positive, good vibes, beautiful and energetic forest in Harrow and in London. I definitely recommend the Case is Altered to anyone looking for that special place where to relax, enjoy life, and excel your good feelings and emotions.

Not eaten at The Case under the current owners before but, I’ve just had the Best roast I’ve had in a pub for years! I usually avoid roast with chicken ‘breast’ worried it will be dry and go for lamb instead but I chose the cheaper option on this occasion, which turned up within ten minutes of ordering! The chicken was lovely and moist and actually tasted of chicken, the potatoes were crispy and seasoned perfectly, the veg was sweet, the girlies didn’t turn to dust when you cut them ans the gravy was gourmet level! This was a quality Sunday lunch and I’ll be back soon!!! They nailed it!

Brilliant outdoor space for kids to play and adults to enjoy spectacular view. Food & drink really decent and service with a smile 😃 what’s not to like??!’

Absolutely amazing! Saying that this is one of the best pubs is an understatement! Everything here is perfect - the service, the food and the atmosphere. It had a beautiful beer garden, lovely outdoor seating and great views! The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful, with an amazing, traditional cuisine. The members of staff were also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this pub, it is a lovely place to go with friends (including your pooch) and enjoy great tasting food and just have a good time in general.

Come down on holiday to London and all I can say is stay away, Terrible drinks, over priced paid £5 for a pink gin which wasn't even pink gin it was gin! The staff was a foreign lady and she was as rude as it gets, she got Really horrible as we told her we don't like the taste of normal gin and argued about the fact it was pink gin, terrible customer service won't be returning. I have put a photo of a £5 pink gin

Lovely outdoor seating areas. Restrooms very clean. There’s even a playground outside for kids. Very welcoming!

Food is good and stuff is friendly. This pub is great to seat outside with kids, who can play on the playground.

Love this place! Not known anywhere else so focused on family and enjoying the day! A key reason for that is that everyone working there is outstanding. Everything happens effortlessly it would appear and that's because of the hard work behind the scenes. The team has got all my respect for sure! Cheers 👍

A hidden gem! Food is top quality and the service is amazing. Found this place by chance last year and never would have thought it would have been this good. Staff are very friendly and the views over Harrow are a plus.

My first meal out in over a year! My nervousness understood by the welcoming waiter. The place appeared very clean on a Monday. We had pre-booked. We sat outside, well distanced tables, sensible covering umbrellas. Food delicious served on warm plates, good value. Clean cutlery and linen serviettes. Excellent polite service. Nice garden.

We were a group of 5 out for a weekday lunch and it was great from start to finish. Remata served us and she was fantastic. Food was enjoyable and a great selection of drinks. We will definitely be visitng more often! Great for small groups and even families with young kids!

Love this place! So happy to have found such a gem. We went for a Sunday roast and left absolutely satisfied. Great food, with good desserts for after, really friendly and attentive staff. Great drinks selection and a really scenic large outdoor area. We will definitely be back and we will be bringing people with us!

Great place for having lunch with the whole family and the location is fabulous.

From the outside it looks like a quaint little country pub but it hides a secret. A massive garden on several levels with a nice playground which makes it ideal for a family day out. The food was good and so was the service. The inside of the pub is quite cosey with lots of little nooks and crannies for small groups to tuck themselves away but I'd tend to sit outside unless there was snow on the ground and admire the view. All together it was worth the four mile walk through the woods to get to. I can see myself going there regularly.

Went last night , would not let us eat outside even though there were plenty of empty tables , people were walking through with no masks on , service was really poor and slow, choice of beers was rubbish

Normally when ive come here before everything has been great yesterday took ages for drinks service for food was ok,when I left my partner has received a ticket, they is no carpark, parked close as we could to the pub,not happy where are you ment to park?? Ive emailed the pub no reply!?

A very busy pub. Sunday lunch was very good if a little slow in delivery. No car park at the moment, under construction, take care not to park on the pavement outside, enthusiastic wardens.

We sat outside and used the app to place our order. The app showed an order number and said it had been accepted but nothing happened. We went towards the pub and waited for someone to come out but it took ages before we were noticed. We didn't want to go in as we didn't have masks with us. Someone came out and said that the order didn't go through due to connection issues and we placed another order. It was a bit of a faff.

The food was mega tasty. The bar staff were friendly and attentive. Good food and served very well. Will come back again and bring the family. 5/5

Excellent and fast service. Great location and set up out back, lots of wide umbrellas for the great British summer. Only issue is there are no heaters. Nice green spot out back with kids play area, very family friendly. Food was incredibly tasty, and the chef kept coming out to check everything was alright, which was a really nice touch and made us feel super welcome. They even gave the dog some ice cream for free!

Not been for a long time so surprised to find the large adjacent carpark (not owned by pub) has been closed. Cars all parked along the road - some not very safely. Service good, food OK, beer disappointing.

Staff do a pretty good job with the table service even when quite busy outside. Did have to wait 45 minutes to get our bill though

Outdoor area with amazing views

Great to see this open again. Obviously outdoors only at present. The food we had was excellent. They were very busy so it wasn't quick but I still recommend.

Food was amazing, highly recommend the truffle cheesy chips buffalo wings for starters and the Buddha salad or lamb shank for mains, the service was a little slowx but got the impression there was not enough staff.

Tried to have lunch here but not allowed in without downloading the test & trace app. Explained that our iPhones are both old models and will not allow us to do that. We offered to give our our full contact details manually but that wouldn’t do apparently. It was the test & trace app or nothing. I can only assume that despite the squealing from various pub companies, this pub is making money hand over fist if it can afford to turn away trade on quiet Wednesday lunchtime with a “computer says no” attitude to customer service.

We visited the place on the first weekend they were open after lockdown. The service was exceptionally poor! Thankfully once it arrived the food was very tasty

Lovely pub. Went today for lunch and the food was amazing, kids had fun in the playground. Renata served us and was lovely and made sure everything was okay and kept checking if we needed anything. Will definitely go again

Great venue for the summer especially if you have kids. They have a great outdoor 3 level decking that goes down to a garden that has a playground to keep the kids happy. The food and drink was good, just your traditional pub grub. The only thing I can criticise was the service. It wasn't terrible by any means but we did have to ask for things more than once.

Friendly staff, good outside area, accommodating for Covid restrictions.

First post-lockdown dining experience and it was so disappointing. Service was dire - just kids behind a smartphone not even listening to your order. Burgers were nothing more than scoops of grease slammed between two buns. And last but not least the clientele were completely smashed by 7pm making the atmosphere really uncomfortable. Never again.

Had the best fish in beer batter and chunky chips, can honestly say the fish was amazing tasted very decent 😋

Absoloutly brilliant service from all the staff. Considering the ongoing changes to covid laws, each staff member made us feel safe and welcome whilst adhering to the laws. Maria in particular was a brilliant host! Highly recommend a visit to this lovely quiet pub. :)

Food is gorgeous. Staff are great and really friendly. Has a large and fantastic tierd deck and beer garden. Family friendly pub.

This is a lovely pub with great outdoor seating and a nice view. Adequately spaced tables and Covid measures in place. Little limited on vegetarian options however I chose the mushroom & asparagus pie which came with chips and green veg and it was delicious! Only marking this down a star for 2 reasons, the parking situation is not ideal, you have to park on quite a busy road directly outside, there is no car park and additionally it was a little back and forth with ordering the food. We were led to choose a table where there was a QR code for the menu, then we had to go back up to the pub to order and then head back down to eat, understandably these are the Covid measures but a little faff. Other than that lovely pub lunch.

Nice pub, lovely big garden and playground, social distancing measures in place, reasonable prices. We met some friends over a meal yesterday for the first time there. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their pizza (what else😜) and some schnitzel and we had salads, burger and swordfish. The food's very tasty, the swordfish in particular was delicious and beautifully presented 😋. The only things that worried me a little as a parent was that one of the seesaws on the playground was broken(hopefully they'll remove it soon) and the garden is not fenced/fully enclosed so we had to keep an eye on the kids all the time...Overall a good place to spend time with family and friends!

With places like this the service counts for alot, and on my first visit I was lucky enough to be looked after by someone who was genuine, engaging, fun, and full of smiles - so it gets a yes from me. Decent wine list. Food is good with higher than average prices to reflect.
