What a lovely pub! From the minute we walked in we were made to feel very welcome. Lots of pubs say they're dog friendly but this one genuinely is. And the food was top notch - delicious and great value for money. Five stars well deserved!

Brilliant food as well as brilliant service! Cannot fault it! Best chicken and leek pie around!!!!

Started for 3 nights. A truly lovely weekend. Staff and owners were warm and friendly, made welcome by locals too. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Dog and children made welcome.

Aye there on Saturday 1st March. Very friendly welcome. Had baked camembert, to share, as a starter. Followed that with Gammon for my partner, & Sirloin Steak for myself. Both absolutely delicious. Portions so large didn't have room for deserts!! Lacal bitter weak excellent. Special mention to Megan, our waitress, nothing was too much trouble. Great start to our week in Lauhrne

The thing that really stands out to me is how there is a distinct lack of arms or carpenters. Food is yummy

Absolutely beautiful Sunday Lunch and the staff are so accommodating. I can't praise them enough for the welcome and the delicious food.

We stayed in room 5 which had everything you needed for an overnight stay. Plenty of teas and coffees with fresh milk supplied. The double bed was very comfortable. What sets the Carpenters Arms apart is the food. The lasagne was the best I've ever had. Generous portions and nothing was too much trouble. The new owners took over less than 6 months ago and are building up a well deserved reputation for excellent home cooked food.

We stayed here before a sports event and it was amazing! Rooms are fantastic,super cosy and the food was to die for!! I had a lasagna.Not too mention the portions were HUGE. Aswell as the biscoff cheese cake, Safe to say it was the best desert I have ever had. 2 minutes drive from a gorgeous beach. Staff were lovely!! Highly recommend.

Propper home cooked Sunday lunch and puddings. Plenty of variety meat and vegetables. Fantastic meal and service.

Lovely little fire, welcoming owners, sunday roast not at all bad and priced fairly, chicken was not dry, cauliflower cheese was decent! Thx :)

What a great pub! Fantastic food for Tuesday's 'Pie Night's, lovely atmosphere with an open fire and really lovely owners. A jewel just outside Laugharne centre!

Brilliant pub we visited whilst staying in Laugharne. Good value food and drink, with noteable food quality and a feeling of being a local. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. Will definitely go back.

Lovely owners, traditional pub atmosphere and they accommodated dietary requirements really well. Would visit again if in the area - highly recommend!

We visited on 2nd October for my husband’s birthday. Great pub, very friendly and warm welcome from everyone. The new owners had only been operating for about a month and they were working hard to make positive improvements to the menu. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and will certainly be back next time we visit the area.

Delicious Sunday lunch today. Great variety of veg, plenty of beef and the service was excellent. Can't comment on the deserts as we only had the main course.

We were staying over the road and went for a meal twice, lovely home cooked food, new couple just taken over, very friendly, wish we lived nearer.Went in September.

Pete and Bex...what can i say other than the most amazing and caring people I have ever met. Although I wasnt staying here the whole team made me feel so welcome I didnt want to come home! The food is out of this world, no way are you going hungry! Warm and friendly environment to relax and nothing is ever too much trouble. The whole team are amazing. I was in town for three days and ate here every night! Cant wait to bring the whole family back next time and this time we will 100% book a room

Didn't stay, just popped by for food and drink with kids. Food was great, really fresh. Only criticism was the kids meal was expensive at 8.50. Other than that, it was spot on. Food portion was plenty, especially for the kids so I guess the price was justified to a certain extent..

Walked in for a meal, wasn't told we needed a booking until after we bought drinks, so money wasted. Bar woman was friendly and polite however another member of staff was not the same. Not good.

Just been in for sunday lunch, very disapointing! Hardly any meat, no gravy so asked for some, food was cold, tiny frozen yorkshire pudding, stuffing ball like a bullet! Very disapointing!!!

We had gone to Llaugharne Castle and we were really disappointed in the choice of food near the castle given the fact that there are 2 pubs, a cafe and a small burger van type thing. We have 2 fussy children as well. We drove up the road and found the carpenters Arms. The pub was quiet, the owner Lottie was really kind and welcoming. The food was well priced and tasty. Drinks were good. Resident dog was a sweetie. She even brought out a dessert for the birthday girl, unprompted and had a candle. Very lovely and would come again. A proper British pub.

Great service and the food was very nice. Lovely atmosphere of an old inn. The real fire is very welcome touch. Games room downstairs is well equipped, which doesn't matter as long as the different generations have their own space.

We visited on a bank holiday Monday unfortunately the place was empty. One of our party was vegetarian and suffice to say there were limited options available one of the choices were vegetarian meatballs which one served came as a lonely platter of vegetarian balls sans sauce. The chef confessed that she was unfamiliar with vegetarian cooking. One of our party was a child, their pizza was burned. I had the burger, it wasn’t what was decribed and small in size.!Overall 4/10

Had 2 superb meals Easter Bank Holiday week plus a lovely presented afternoon tea landlady and her team were very friendly and inviting the locals were very welcoming excellent place to eat will definitely be calling again if in the area

Had a lovely meal.. lotty and her bar staff were so lovely and welcoming Food was amazing good value and was such a great atmosphere. Haven't stayed here but apparently have accommodation available and all with en suites. Location is great for exploring. Will definitely return when next in area x
