A lovely pub close to westfield Stratford and the high street. Really spacious, good prices, and.friendly staff. Highly recommend . Open from 12 Friday through Sunday. From 2pm otherwise

Best pub before West Ham games. So friendly supporters from Finland Chicago Germany all drinking laughing and ... fabulous Guinness and a DJ who got everyone jumping. Great old East London boozer.

Been to the Capenters 2 times on seprate occasions.. Once before a home game and once after. Had an excellent time both times. Staff friendly and do well when it's packed out. Would definalty recomend.

Myself and Daughter visited this pub while my husband and grandson went to watch a west ham match, great atmosphere, great place and what a lovely bunch of people we met there.

They let my son use the toilet- we didn’t buy any drinks- and he had an Aston Villa coat on!

🚇Stratford 🍺 £4.30 Amstel A Popular West Ham Match Day Pub. The Carpenters Arms is located at the edge of Queen Elizabeth Park in Stratford, East London. The nearest Tube Station is Stratford. The original Carpenters Arms was located close by and built in 1867. The pub you see today was built in 1965. This is a decent size one bar boozer that is set out in an ‘L’ shape. The decor is traditional with plenty of seating around the perimeter. The servery stretches down the length of the bar and is clad in dark wood panels with a matching counter and back bar. Around the walls is a variety of West Ham memorabilia including posters, signs and a Bobby Moore mural. This pub boasts a pool table, dartboard, TV screens and of course a fruity. To the side of the pub is a large outside beer garden that has lots of benches. The beer line up was all keg and included a selection of mainstream brews. I decided on an Amstel, my pint hit the spot, price point was excellent at just over four quid. There is no food menu available here. We arrived around 4.30pm on a mild Friday afternoon in February. The pub was fairly quiet with a few other punters dotted about. The atmosphere was chilled and relaxed with a local pub vibe. My partner in crime this day was @scottyboy71 who has visited this pub many times on his way to see West Ham. He mentioned that pub gets absolutely packed on match days and is a favourite amongst Hammers fans. The service was great, we received a warm welcome from the Lady behind the ramp. Unlike the pubs in Plaistow and East Ham, The @carpentersarmsstraford has greatly benefited from the West Ham move. That said, this is a solid local boozer that is a nice place to spend time in and has plenty on offer to keep you entertained. Proper Irish pub. Loads of sport on if you fancy that. Great people working there and an incredibly friendly bunch of locals. I’ll keep coming back. Already have about 30 times in fact thanks to their welcoming vibe.

Wonderful Place, I came from Rome to go in this Place. I want to thank the west ham hooligan who gave me his Lazio scarf, he went back home to take It,close to the pub. West ham and Lazio in a forever Brotherhood . When you come here you feel at home.

Was a good night celebrating brother walford Celtic supporters club East London. Chandra who’s part of the chair/ president of the committee invited myself and my friend over. There was a live singer and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Thank you Chandra for inviting us. Great atmosphere. Will be back xx

If you support west ham, there is no other place to go, than here. Always a laugh, great atmosphere, probably the fastest serving time in the area and the food is good as well. As for the DJ, the atmosphere will tell you how good they are.

No food but tonnes of character. We saw a 4 ft tall man who had a few too many try to pick a fight with a guy who was 6 ft tall. The reply was "pick on someone your own size". They had a laugh helped get him bundled up (winter time) and on his way home. 10/10 would come back.

I go here before west ham games, plastic glasses at those times but a well run bar that serves quick and a lively crowd, quite a lot of outside space and a counter doing hot dogs and burgers and chips. The girls behind the bar are good fun.

Ganska sliten pub. Det finns många roligare pubar att välja om man är turist, men det är ju intressant att besöka en "autentisk" pub också.

This place was awesome! As a yank over for my second Hammers match, first one in the new house (the new ground is amazing... miss the Boleyn though), but the Carpenter's Arms was great! The atmosphere in there after watching a thrilling Hammers vistory was just brilliant! C.O.Y.I.!!!!!

My favourite local that isn't local to me. Lovely staff. Great Guiness. Really really great Guiness! Usually not too busy, with lots of local patrons but can be incredibly busy if West Ham are playing. Busy if they are playing away, totally packed if they're playing at home.

Walked in thinking it would be a classic East end pub (which wouldn’t be an issue at all) but I’ll I could hear were Irish accents. Boom. Felt like I’m back in my Mammy’s home town. Such friendly staff and locals. Loved it. Gutted I don’t have a pub near where I live with this vibe. Loved it. Going back again today. 🍻

Lovely little pub, very reasonably priced, a two minute walk from Stratford high street which is ideal if you're staying at the holiday inn express or Travelodge, theres a pool table and a good mix of people, feels very much like a locals pub

I went into this pub today with my male friend. The woman behind the bar, I was told her name is Pauline & from Co. Wicklow, point blank refused to serve my friend & would not give either of us a reason & asked us both to leave. We went there because the man who lives upstairs, Brendan (Who is a really nice man) recommended it to us. We were planning on meeting him there for a drink but we left as this woman was so awfully rude to us. We went to a local pub in Stratford & were immediately served no problem. We talked to the staff & explained what just happened in the carpenter's arms & they said that pub is well known for being prejudiced to people. Absolutely horrible experience.

West Ham Utd supporting pub but we're fine for randos. Nothing special except decent staff and a down to earth feel. Good little boozer if that's what you need
