The Cardiff and County Club in Cardiff

Attended private function (50+ guests). Really nice staff offering great service. Wine list was good and not too expensive. The three course banqueting menu was very very good (best beef for long time) as was the downstairs dining room we dined in. Waiting staff were friendly and professional. Would strongly recommend

The food is dreadful (like something from the dark ages) but the building is wonderful, the staff friendly and the beer cheap!

Visité este club como invitado en una cena de trabajo, qué lugar. Cuando ingresas al lobby principal, te llevan de regreso en el tiempo. Fabulosa escalera. Todo el lugar te da una sensación de 1940. Pequeño bar genial. El comedor estaba bellamente decorado. La comida era impresionante, todo el personal fue genial. Las personas que son miembros tienen mucha suerte de tener un lugar tan bueno.

Nos reunimos con amigos aquí para celebrar un cumpleaños muy especial, ya que son miembros. Realmente fue una ocasión y un lugar encantador, la comida era deliciosa y todo el personal es muy amable y servicial, y realmente ayudó a que la ocasión fuera muy especial.

Being a member, I am spoiled by the wonderful cuisine that the Club serves. The menu is published daily on the website and is not an extensive one because all produce is bought in daily. Typically, there is a choice of 3 starters, 4 mains and 3 desserts plus coffees, cheese board etc. Wine list is extensive and of a high quality - no plonk here! If you are ever given an opportunity to dine here, grab it with both hands, you won't be disappointed.

If you enjoy simple well cooked food this is the place for you. The fish is always top quality and with the ample selection of vegetables you do not need to worry about eating again. The Welsh rarebit is a staple classic and the silver service from the staff is spot on. The history of the venue may not agree with all but the food will be to most peoples liking

I am fortunate in that I am invited to attend lunches in the Club on a regular basis. These Welch Regiment events are always a pleasure. The club has a warm and friendly atmosphere, the bar is a very pleasant place to meet ones friends. The food is of a very high standard without being showy or, indeed, expensive. The fish is exceptionally well presented. The cellar is well maintained and the 'house' wines are very acceptable.. A very strong recommendation must go to the staff who are without exception enthusiastic, well versed in their duties and courteous. As a member of a well known London Club I have found that The Cardiff and County Club compares very favourably with London clubs.

This is a members club but if you get chance to go then please do. In particular the fish is great and the service first rate.

This institution has been in existence for almost 150 years and in its current premises since the start of the 20th Century. The premises are well maintained in appropriate Victorian style. Food is traditional and good. The daily lunch menu always contains a selection of fresh fish supplied by Ashton's Cardiff's leading fishmonger. Portion sizes are more than adequate and fresh vegetables are available every day. Silver service is the norm and the friendly staff provide members of the club and their guests with excellent service.
