I was a regular when this first opened years ago until I moved so I popped in and its still as good

No card payment accepted...no custom from me.... its 2024..Not 1994! Get in the 21st century or is there a hidden agenda to you're cash only policy?.🤔

The best take away kebab shop in the country. I have been eating kebabs over 40 years it's a 40 mile round trip But I still go. Update time I was there a few days ago nothing has changed Perfect.!!

This is the best you will find anywhere I have eaten kebabs for 50 years plus nothing beats this place. Good greetings from all the staff and consistently excellent service.

Excellent spot in ipswich for a kebab takeout food has always been excellent and fast as I've been going here for years now. The staff are very friendly and operate like a family. ⚠️ Be warned ⚠️ – they only accept cash payments, a bit old fashioned, aside from that, perfect!

I have had kebabs all over the country and none stand up to this place. The best flavours ever, all prepared and cooked with care. The salad is fresher than you can buy in the supermarket.

The taste of these kebabs is amazing really fresh and no silly flavours added. The salad box tastes fresher than you can buy in the supermarket.

Sorry about the 1 star for food....I didnt actually get my food, went in , ordered handed my card over to be told cash payments only! Who only does cash payments these days! Starvin aswell 🤬🤬 sort it out guys its 2023 not 1940!

Food with a smile. Been coming here for well over 10 years and the staff always are polite and the food is always great. Portion sizes are over generous and large does mean large. Always get Lamb but heard from others that the chicken and burgers are great too.

Usually love California Grill, we have been coming here for years. However over the last few months we have noticed a real change in the quality of food. Pizzas aren’t as nice as they used to be, chips way over done, and so crispy and hard that you can barely eat them. Chicken not the same either. It’s unfortunate as this was the best place in Ipswich imo but sadly I don’t think I will return for a while. Food tonight wasn’t good at all.

We have had kebabs from here on many occasions and never been disappointed and we weren’t this time! Tasty lamb kebabs, generous salad and lovely crispy chips! Keep it up!

After reading the reviews was really looking forward to our family treat. How disappointed we were never been here before and definitely won’t be returning. Expensive for the quantity you receive and quality. Pitta bread not edible so hard chicken pieces way too much garlic which over powered the kebab and still tasted the next morning but on the other side the lamb was bland and not enjoyable cheesy chips such a small portion and the cheese was just sitting on top not melted at all pretty much the worst we have had so the hunt continues for a great takeaway kebab

I've been a regular visitor to The Cali Grill for many years and I can't rate the place highly enough. From the wonderful staff who always greet you with a smile, to the great range of food cooked fresh to order. If you ask them very nicely they may even teach you some Italian!

Never left any review but I had to this time. The food there was awful. The chicken was not cooked properly, the salad next to the kebab was a big piece of lettuce, with a slice of tomato. To bad I didn’t take any pictures. I am definitely not going to order again.

Had a lovely meal last night first time we have been. Meat was so tender packed full of flavour. Had a lovely fresh salad as well will be going back next week for sure. Service fast and friendly and they even have a car park.

My friend had a California burger with chips and I had a large doner kebab with salad and chilli sauce. My kebab was excellent, lovely meat and a great, fresh, crunchy salad. My friend said that his burger was excellent, very tasty and great value for money. Two very happy bunnies.

Wow! Had a donner kebab & a chicken kebab earlier this evening for me & my partner, both were excellent! Great quality, value & service. My only criticism is that they only take cash as payment. I hope they move towards card/contactless payment soon as carrying cash nowadays is not seen as very hygienic.

Been going to the grill for 11 years and in my opinion the only kebab shop where ive had a 10 out of 10 donner whether its 19:00 or 15 minutes from closing. the chicken shish lamb shish and kofte is extra tasty the chips are crispy and fresh the chilli sauce is so nice i always grab a pot. salads good aswel. big up the grill ! Just excellent food, great friendly service and convenient parking. The special shish is one of my favorites with lovely grilled vegetables. For me the pizzas are really so much better than other pizza shops and takeaways. They have generous tasty filings all prepared as you wait. It's always the California grill for me, no where else even comes close.

We needed a change after a bad experience from our last kebab shop. We decided on California Grill as the reviews are great, we ordered a Kebab feast 1 and have to say it was delicious. Everything was tasty and had its own unique flavour. We had it between 2 of us and it was more than enough. The staff were friendly and great food. Win win as far as we are concerned. Definitely recommend it to anyone
