After a long-ish (8-9 miles) walk on a pretty hot day - is this our Indian summer? - we were parched, and even hungry. I'd made a note of several options for tea in Kingston .... and after completing this last 'leg' of the London LOOP (150 miles) on the Thames at the end of the river Hogsmill, and in sight of Kingston Bridge, turning down an alley brought us to the Market Place and that great sign - cafe open! It was cool, calm, and a warm welcoming smile from behind the counter - one of the students I assumed. Almost collapsing at the table, but struggled up and yes, wow! Taylors Yorkshire tea, and a lovely apple tartlet - tart and on a bed of stewed apple .... just right, not too sweet or sickly. I didn't get her name but she assured us that the cakes were good, wholesome and home-made .... my mate Steve bravely resisted the temptation of the gluten-free chocolate and mint, and the carrot, cakes .... We were 'wooshed' off to sit at our table and everything would be brought to us. I would have gone for a pot of tea, but she checked and the small pots they had contained no more than the large mugs. Perfection and bliss .... and I could have had a nap after that as well!

This is a great location for young children as there is a large play area with lots of toys and my toddler loves running around the church. The drinks and food are also good value for Kingston.

The Cafe in All Saints Church is great for getting away from the crowded town centre. The food and drinks are relatively cheap and the church is a nice setting for the cafe. They also have a children's play area with lots of toys.

Often pop in here for a coffee and piece of cake etc. Makes a change from Pret (which is great). Set in All Saint's church which dates back to the start of the last millennium and where the kings of England used to be crowned. Peaceful and relaxing.

Tutti molto gentili e prezzi modici

From an açai bowl to a bacon buttie (please make sure you take advantage of everything this fantastic ‘Secret’ has to offer) your every need is met. We indulged in the passion fruit and white chocolate cake combined with the carrot cake served in a beautiful cake box and both completely moorish. The flat white was also delicious and the price was very reasonable.

We were a large table celebrating my daughter's 18th birthday. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. All our dietary requirements were met including 2 vegans within our group. All the dishes came together which isn't easy for a table of 15 All freshly cooked and plentiful, so much so we couldn't manage dessert! Fabulous cocktails , prosecco and Rose wine Highly recommended

I would not even give Fat Boys Cafe, Kingston one star!! Raw bacon, stale mushrooms. Extremely rude and impolite man taking orders at front desk. This place may be acceptable for people who do not know what a proper hot breakfast is, and polite customer service. Would highly avoid at all costs. Waste of money. Very disappointed.
