Went to the park on the #thebighoptrail with my dog. Beautiful day, took a wee picnic but bought a cappuccino at the cafe and took away in my own travel mug to sit outside round the back away from the cafe. Piping hot, just as I like it and reasonably priced at £2.90 for a large size. As cappuccinos go for me it was 5 ⭐️

When the cafe first reopened, my daughter and I went there for morning coffee and a scone and on entering, saw these miserable looking scones and promptly turned round and went out. Fast forward to yesterday, 15th June and thinking teething problems had been resolved, we looked forward to our trip to the cafe. My eyes were immediately drawn to a plate of small black pancakes, and I do mean black pancakes. I said to one of the two young assistants behind the counter, “These pancakes are burnt,” and her reply was, “They are just well fired!” I replied, “They are burnt and they shouldn’t be out for sale.” They weren’t even the size of pancakes but small thin crumpets which were stuck together because they were burnt black! Only two types of scones were on display so I had a small cheese scone which proved a mistake as I could hardly taste cheese for dough which hadn’t been baked properly. My daughter sensibly only had a tea because she didn’t like the look of the scones! Gone are the days when the cafe was owned privately which offered a wide variety of large scones along with different cakes. It really angered us both that the cook would put out inedible pancakes and expect people to pay over £2 for one. Whoever is in charge should ensure that the person doing the baking should go on a refresher course before being let loose on the public.

After a lovely walk we decided to get a latte before heading home. Was shocked when the cups where three quarters full of froth. Went back to complain the young guy never apologised he made two fresh cups i said thank you and the young male staff member turned his back and said nothing so rude .

Nine of us and a dog turned up here on a busy Easter weekend. We didn't have to wait long, the food was very good and the staff were friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

We stopped here after enjoying a walk around Aden Country Park. The menu was quite limited so my husband and I opted for a toastie (ham and cheese) and a sandwich (roast beef and mustard). I felt it took a while to be served as I had to reach the till to order my food but once ordered we sat outside to wait for our food. It took quite a while to come to the point I was almost going back in to check they hadn’t forgot about us but the food then arrived, initially our food was offered to another table, but we had sat farthest away from the cafe outside as we wanted some shade so perhaps this was our fault as there wasn’t a table number for me to give on these back tables. The sandwich was ok, it became soggy from the dressing on the salad and the toastie was better. I didn’t enjoy the peppercorns in the salad but that’s just my personal preference. I would return again for a toastie after a walk.

We went here with our son on a Sunday and after a lovely walk in the grounds we had a soup and sandwich lunch. The soup was excellent and the sandwich had a very generous filling. Very tasty and great value.

My wife and I had the soup and a cheese scone each and they were a treat. It is the best cheese scone that I have ever had. At £3-95 this is excellent value for money. Nice friendly service as well.

My wife and I had lunch here and it was very good. The red pepper soup was delicious and the cheese scones are the best we have ever tasted. The pork and chorizo burger was very good. The young lady who served us was a credit to the café , so friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

This cafe is an oasis in Aden Country Park and popular with those who visit the park itself with its varied attractions, I popped in again this week for a cappuccino and saw the basket on the counter covered with a cloth. I could smell cheese before I lifted the.cloth and, sure enough, there were cheese and currant scones lying side by side. These were not the traditional round scones.but were large and triangle in shape. Now I consider myself something of an expert where scones are concerned and, cheese ones being my favourite, I must say the one I had, still warm to the touch and full of cheese, was one of the best I have ever tasted. No ready mix used here but, as with everything else on the menu, is made on the premises. I'm looking forward to my next visit to the cafe to try some of the other items on the menu but I know i can't leave without.buying a cheese scone to take home.

We just got icecream here today as the day was too nice to sit in although there were very few spare seats anyway. Good friendly staff.

This cafe serves good food at reasonable prices and is located in a wonderful setting. The vegetable quiche was delicious and it was a healthy serving indeed. The pulled pork wrap was tasty as well and each dish came with a side coleslaw that was excellent. You can eat inside, outside on a nice sunny day or up in a loft, which was a bit stuffy on a warm day so we opted for the table by the window which was good for people watching.

The Roast Ham & Cheddar Oven Baked Toastie is an awesome breakfast sandwich served with a tomato salad and coleslaw (I've never had a better coleslaw). We really were sure what we were getting so were very pleasantly surprised. The coleslaw was the best we've ever had and the sandwich was very tasty and filling. I have a photo of the dish but am not given the option to add it which is too bad.

We found this cafe in Sept 2023 while on holiday in the area for 2 weeks. We ate here alot, so again this year for our 2024 holiday we have visited numerous times. We always sit outside in the corner with our dog. To start it is close to beach, car park and access to bus stops if you were on public transport. The views are amazing hench we love coming even on a windy day. We always have the toasties, wraps and soup with a sweet treat to follow. The food is well good. Great prices Clean and tidy, friendly staff x We notice as well its always busy so we obviously arent the only ones who like it. Thanks to the staff for the amazing service xx
