Usually go for the music on a thursday....its brilliant. If its a really good act the atmosphere is amazing. Charlotte the bar person is very efficient and friendly. Not had food there yet.

The best pub in Driffield. Different lovely pales every so often and a brilliant clientele. Definitely worth popping in!

Loved it's quirkyness, I love Theakstons ales anyway and they had all the lilley's ciders available and some Gins catering for the 'Fruit based drinks for the ladies' as Al Murray (Pub Lanlord) would say. Pork scratchings were lovely and warm.

1st bike night tonight was nice Just 1 little niggle hence the 4 stars No hot drinks available personally I like to warm up on an evenings ride out with a hot drink re caffinate myself for the ride home but apart from that was nice

The Butchers Dog is a micro pub with an excellent range of beers, larger and cider, including a good range of hand-pulled cask conditioned real ales. The ales i tried were very good. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and there is some outside seating. Regularly featured in the camra good beer guide.

Very strong beer at great prices

Here from USA doing Way of the Roses. Found this pub. Fantastic, if you are wanting traditional English ales in a clean and well kept pub with a fun friendly atmosphere go here. We also lucked out that this was the night Wilson and Wilson was doing a themed dinner-tonight was medieval themed. Was absolutely fantastic.

Best real ale venue in the local area. Good company, no background muzak, no TV, and people actually talk to each other. Didn't eat so cannot comment on that.

What a cracking pub. Great beer and a nice atmosphere. Friendly efficient staff. Saw a Status Quo tribute on a Saturday night there and it was rammed. Superb gig and a really excellent venue. Highly recommended.

A large micro pub , plenty of seating , hand pulled beers , plenty of people having a drink at tea time.

Beer far too expensive, no wonder pubs are going under.

Execellent food and great service!

Nice little restaurant tucked behind the micropub. There was a great selection of dishes on the menu. We had BBQ ribs starter which were perfect and very tasty. The mains were a decent size and good value for money. There were some minor disappointments in the mains hence 4 instead of 5 stars. I felt the green onion was chopped a little too big to eat - although that’s a personal preference perhaps, and there was a piece of egg shell in my fried rice. A little inconvenient having to pay for drinks separately from meal. Despite these I still enjoyed my meal.

Cracking pub , first time visitor had a couple of very nice pints , would highly recommend going here , look forward to my next visit 👍

A cracking microbar which appears to have grown since its inception. Looks to be the best pub on the strip for a cask drinker.

Lovely intimate little pub, first class beers and none of the irritating distractions such as gambling machines, blaring music etc that blight so many pubs these days

Had a fantastic meal today, really enjoyed my beef and vegetables even had enough room for dessert which was American cheese cake and cream, really would recommend THE BUTCHERS DOG xx

Nice atmospheric pub in the centre of Driffield.

Interesting little micro-pub. Small choice of beers but they are very good quality and well kept. Other drink choices a bit limited. Space a bit tight inside, but worth a visit. OK update since the relocation. Visited tonight and it was very good indeed. Gin options pretty good, and beer options fairly wide. Very welcoming all round. Will be visiting again.

Lovely little pub decorated inside in a " Traditional " style. Great home cooked food. Not pretending or try to be something that it is not.

Decor is not as traditional as it looks at first glance but still a lovely, little pub. Plenty of beer to choose from and a good assortment to cover every taste. Very good live music when we went (Saturday, I assume it's a regular thing) which created a really good atmosphere. Will definitely be a regular stop when I'm back in Driffield.

Really friendly vibe and good polite service. It was very busy with people enjoying the Thursday Buskers.......a regular event as It's market day. We were a party of 4 and we all enjoyed our meals.

First visit and what a great place. Great selection of ales, reasonably priced. Lovely staff. And they had one of my favourite ales on which you don't see round here very often. Well worth a visit.

Was here for a comedy night. Lovely venue and a great crowd.

The Butchers Dog is a 'micro' pub in Driffield although - since moving to new premises - it has the feel of a traditional pub. The focus here is on Real Ale and although they rarely have anything groundbreaking or exciting on they serve a good selection of styles with warm, friendly service. They do food sporadically and if they're not serving they're happy for you to bring your own food in. The location is well-served by a decent bakery. On my visit, one beer had turned to vinegar. Whilst they changed the beer without question it was disappointing to see they continued to serve the beer to other customers.

Very good - great choice of ales on tap at excellent prices, plus take out available

Small friendly pub with 6 hand pulled real ales. Also cider and gins. Not the same micro pub anymore, it has moved further down the main street on Market Place. I think the new premises and ambiance are better and the cask ales on the last 6 visits have been bang on! This is the better pub for Driffield

Wow!!! Just had some amazing tapas here for lunch! Was only going to have a few dishes to try but so fabulous had to have another round!!! Don’t miss out on this, great beers and service also !

i love this little pub i dont drink but they do have acola and now they do teas coffee and hot choclate even better. the landlady and all staff are so nice i just got a few months a go an assistance dog and they are so welcoming of her she now pulls me down the yard to see nat and the staff she loves it. i love it too. plus they hold diffrent ales and diffrent activitys never a dull moment. deff vist if your in driffield.

Ornate bar, forward thinking landlady and staff. The centre of the community, welcoming all newcomers who behave themselves with quality beers, great bespoke entertainment evenings and an unrivalled positive atmosphere. Proud that it's my local.

I found neither a dog or a butcher (that I could see). But this place is a great little place to meet greet and chomp on some warmed scratchings and I dare you to try one of each of the proper ales they have.

Moved to new bigger premises but still has a great micropub vibe.

Great to see our favourite establishment back up & running in it's new home. Back with a bang, bigger & better but still has the old vibe we all know & love. All the hard work & love they've put into the new place is so evident. Soooo enjoyed trying their ciders, had 3 x lots of cider tapas & a dish of warm pork scratchings, perfect start to a great evening. It's a fantastic place with a fantastic team, check it out as soon as you can xx
