Nice staff, bit of a blokes boozer, sport on the tv. Went in because they do landlords on draught, told it wasn't on yet as the barrels had to settle, 2hrs later, still not on...poor, wasn't going to be on that evening. No draught ale, drank bottled London pride at a reasonable price, left to go to the mitre, down the road, very expensive pub, but always have the right beer and always good. Paul

A proper pub, how refreshing! Great service, food wasn't cheap but was absolutely delicious, presented well without being rushed between courses. I recommend a visit if you're in the area. Big plus point is dog friendly!

Popped into the pub during the Barnet Christmas Fair. The beer selection is excellent as was the atmosphere. The pub is run by Josh who used to be at the Black Horse. Nice clientele now. Looks like Josh has made a few changes etc. definitely will return.

Lovely new landlady very welcoming and great music on Saturdays which is free. The open Mike night on SUnday evenings is fantastic with great local talent. Also good if you like sport on TV.

We went for a drink here for my friend's bday. We totally enjoyed the live band. The only let down is that they dont do cocktail when there's a live band and I'm not sure if they served food. But definitely recommended it to everyone!

Am not local, but always visit the pub on my visits to Barnet, specially on football nights. Despite being a quiet night at the pub, the bar person was unfriendly, unwelcoming and impersonal. Obviously, not used to recognising or dealing with those, whom are not regulars. Being a person of many years in the hospitality industry, I speak with a degree of experience. I hope you will accept this as constructive, rather than critical.

I went to this place last Sunday there was a band with a great bass player. His name was Victor I think ???? X

We had the pub all to ourselves! I don't know whether it is a wetherspoons pub or not but it looks like one inside. It has a small beer yard at the, which is not wheelchair accessible.

One of the best pubs in north west london. Honestly! Friendly staff, always great atmosphere and the all mighty holstein vier at £2.90 a pint! Absolute god send of a golden pale larger prestige pint that will satisfy your night with the might of jehovah's German jesus juice to put it light.

Was here to play a gig with my band The Blueshearts. It's an oddly shaped pub in that it's really long and we were playing right next to the front door. The staff were nice and management clearly knows its audience in terms of the bands that they book. I'd describe it as a "locals pub" although we were made to feel welcomed by the clientele. Beer was decent. Overall a decent night out.

Great pub. Nice patio'd garden for the summer. Lots of TV's scattered about for the Football. Watched Barnet draw with Brentford in the FA cup . Will get back there for the replay. Also good place for the Six Nations Rugby too.

Great Pub the best in Barnet in my opinion

I would say if u have never had sushi before this is a good start as then when u have it again you can tell the difference. The vinegar in the rice was unfortunately not mixed in properly so you get some that taste great and others not so great. Nigir is over priced for the paper thin piece of fish you get on top of a large amount of rice. The gyoza tasted deep fryed as the seal was very crispy when really the bottom should be the only crispy bit, very backwards. The chicken curry was decent and so was the sashimi. Unfortunately will not be ordering again as there are many sushi restaurants near that provide a much better quality and quantity for the same price.

Used to be a Weatherspoons but not any. Still a nice clean and tidy boozer with a good choice of drinks but now a lot more fun.

Absolutely brilliant. The Courage Bitter sometimes falls short. As in a great pint. There are loads of St. Austell ales which I'm not a fan of. Yes I have tried them. Normally go between 4 & 7pm. Mon, Thurs or Fri. Missed weekends & I've been told there's a brill karaoke. One day. I am not into sport. So I miss the big games. In fairness though, chatting at bars, purely making conversation can make a great night. Irrespective of sport & karaoke, this is one helluva pub. Staff are fantastic, punters are great. As most times the beer. Well well worth the visit.

A great friendly local Irish pub with a warm welcome.After refurbishment it does not sell basics beers, it now serves beers like Peroni and craftt beers. Unfortunately it does not serve food.

It's a (sports ish) pub, with many screens showing many different things. Useful if you are passing for a cheeky pint by or want to watch some sport with that pint. There is nothing better at the top of Barnet High Street for sport to be fair.
