Popped in as it had been refurbished. Place looks great now. The garden has also been done and is spacious-there is a pergola at the 1 end with long benches and screening to protect from the wind. Hanging baskets finish off the look. Well worth a visit.

Dropped in as we were passing and were made to feel welcome. Staff and other customers were friendly and welcoming. Served a good selection of beer.

A typical old ale pub, great pint of Holdens and friendly banter with the bar staff and regulars. Because its a typical spit and saw dust hostelry, I don't think children should be allowed in, if you get loud children in, you can't hear yourself speak, which has happened on a few occasions snd as spoiled our time there.

A superb pub-restaurant in Lower Gornal between Sedgley and Dudley. What you might ask is the unique menu. Which other establishment offers 1,000 variations on one basic English pub dish. What is the dish - well sausage and mash. And what is so special about that. Well the Bull's Head offer a choice of 10 differnet type of sausage, ten different types of gravy and ten different types of mash. When I went to school 10 cubed equals 1,000. It probably still doesunless the EU has issued a Directive saying that it does not. Combine that with excellent traditional roast dinner, first class gammon and egg plus a range of very good real ales and you have what is an absolute star in the pub-grub firmament. And the icing on the cake is that the prices are fantastic value. How I love living in the Black Country

Booked a family meal for us, and had been told by a friend how good this place was. Definitely wasn't disappointed. The staff were attentive, and the food so delicious. To anyone else reading this, definitely go, you won't regret it.

If you go before 7pm you can have a starter and a main course for £10. The food is excellent. I usually have chicken satays for starter which comes with a peanut sauce. There different mains to try which are all delicious. I always try something different each time. Coconut rice is delicious. For dessert Thai custard is really nice and I always have this. The prices are slightly on the expensive side; but its nice as a treat every now and again for a change; I couldn't afford it every week. For four of us it came to just £60.50 without drinks. But we all had a starter, a main each, 2 portions of rice, a portion of chips and we all had a dessert. Drinks are now added onto your bill; as previously you had to give cash to the waitress or go and fetch the drinks yourself from the bar.

Food and service was excellent, waiter was very attentive and the presentation of the food was lovely! Particularly liked the ceramic bowls which were kept warm over tea light candles so the food didn't go cold. Well worth a visit, value for money was excellent, even without the 15% Monday - Wednesday, will definitely be visiting again soon!

Authentic Thai cusine large portions. Special noodles ,coconut rice ,Thai fish cakes satay and everything delicious. You must try Thai custard and ice cream it is fantastic. Made to feel really welcome by friendly Thai staff. Drinks are served from Bulls head bar Holden's traditional beers great taste and reasonably priced. They also serve a realy nice Thai lager which is quite strong 5% but does not taste strong. Nicely decorated in Thai style. Highly recommend must book if you want to go Thursday Friday or Saturday nights.

This sounds like quite a claim but if you want an authentic Thai food experience you can't do much worse than Mee's. There are more aclaimed and upmarket Thai resturants around but this is the first one where you feel the food hasn't been westernised. Yes there are some dishes that you wouldn't find in Thailand, but the ones that you would are on a par with what we have had in Thailand. The service is really charming, not the quickest but certainly the friendliest and most accomodating we have experienced in ages. Both times we have been we have asked for dishes that have not been on the menu and they have been given us, (why the beef salad isn't on the menu amazes us... it is probably the best we have ever had!).The food is excellent value, (2 starters, 1 salad, 2 mains 2 rice 2 botles wine and 4 Singas came to £61). Last night was pretty (Wednesday) much full and we have been on a Saturday where they have been turing people away. Considering this resturant seems to rely on word of mouth - I found out about it from my mom - show's jut how good the food is here.Just one thing to remember.... Although they do accept cards for the food you have to pay cash for the drinks as the Bulls Head pub supplies them for the resturant, (it is in the back of the pub) so go prepared! We cannot recomend this place highly enough

Mee's Thai Restaurant, in a small, but comfortably decorated area to the rear of The Bull's Head, deserves to do well. We have visited twice in a week, and can confirm that the food is well prepared, charmingly served and reasonably priced. The restaurant has 28 covers, and has been busy during our visits. We have enjoyed: Kang Paneng, a dry aromatic Thai curry with coconut milk and limeleaves with chicken; Gai Bai Toey, chicken marinated with coriander root, cracked blackpepper and oyster sauce wrapped in pandan leaves and deep fried, and we have also loved the fried battered squid, with onion. We have also eaten Neau Pad Prik Pow, stir fried beef with chef’s special sauce, bamboo shoots, onion, spring onion, celery, peppers, mushroom and flavoured with chilli oil.On both occasions we have had starters (X2), mains (X2) a rice and some noodles, and the bill has been around £28. The food has been without fault. The Bull's Head is a decent pub, frequented by locals, but has no frills, whilst being friendly enough. As you walk through the pub to Mee's, nothing prepares you for the quality of the food. Finally, OK, so Sedgley is technically in Dudley. Nevertheless, we think that Mee's deserves a Wolverhampton listing, since the city of Wolverhampton, and the market town of Dudley are equidistant from The Bull's Head.

I've been a few times already but yesterday we went and decided to order away from our usual go too (chilli paneer as a starter, chicken tikka masala and some egg fried rice) so can also report on the kebab platter for two palak paneer, the chicken tikka balti, and the lamb biryani... The food is made fresh, and is incredibly delicious. The menu is labelled well, and service has always been delightful and quick. Its a joy to eat in here, with the music being just loud enough for good vibes but easily able to hold a conversation, and the food is absolutely fantastic, even on the second round with heating up leftovers it retains it's freshness and taste Id really recommend Dilraj to anyone looking to have a curry and dine in, and I think they also do take aways too if you collect

My experience was poor, I ordered food for my 2 children, the one meal came out on a sizzling plate for a 9 year old. At this point I pointed out this should not of happened to my partner as I was not at the table at the time, I called the server over called lidia, I only found out her name from another employee here as she refused to give her first name, when she came over to the table I expressed my concern that a child of this age should not have a sizzling hot skillet plate, lidias response at this was you never asked me too, me and my partner at this point found it really rude, after a discussion I went to the bar to express my feelings about this, the bar man listened and I asked for a pen and her name he told me and gave me a pen, I asked lidia how to spell her name, her response was I’m not untitled to give my name I found this very rude, I then asked for the manager and Lidia said she was the manager, so at this point I was appalled at how I was treated, I went back to the table told my partner what happened and got the children to leave, my partner then asked who the server was, my partner expressed her concerns over this and we were told that as customers, that we should read the terms and conditions and it’s not up too the staff to express any concerns about a hot plate that could hurt a child, my partner was extremely taken back from what was said, as a customer we are there to be taken care of not to be just a number, anyway the story continues, the children at this point were extremely uncomfortable and I had to take them outside, my partner stayed to express her feelings, the lady Lidia who my partner spoke to said it’s up to a customer to request this, now I’m sorry but we didn’t know and as a business you should have your customers concern at the front of your business and your company name, after my partner was then feeling intimated as another member of staff had the same attitude as the first who was the manager on shift, my partner said I will be taking this further and the staff members said I look forward too it, Now I’m not been funny but if this is how they treat people who just stress a concern, then I think some back house training is needed, I have reported this to Mitchell’s and butlers, as I’m discussed how staff can just put customers feedback or feelings to one side, I will be making another report on this when they get back to me as this is a disgrace to the company name. I’ve had to edit this post as 15 minutes after posting this I had a phone call from the pub owner jack, and I was told on the phone that apparently I was aggressive and was raising my voice and swearing at the bar to get attention about my complaint, this is not the case at all, I was very calm and so was my partner, I felt this phone call was disrespectful and uncalled for, also to be lied to on the phone about my actions that were not true in the slightest, when all I’m doing is telling the truth on a review. If this is standard practice for a company to have this behaviour towards customers that are just voicing there experience then I discourage anyone to leave a review in future as it’s pointless because all you will get is an underhanded phone call filled with lies and not dealt with by true events that actually happened. I will pursue my complaint to head office and I will be editing my post to let the public know what they are going to do too change this behaviour and what they are going to implement to make sure not just myself but any other person is not treated in this manner. this is my updated review, I’m now banned from the chestnut for making a complaint about the staff, as I said earlier in my review I discouraged anyone to do this, the mangers exact words were I wasn’t there so I can’t comment, not been pedantic but where was the investigation in to my complaint? if this was an actual lie from myself I would not be wasting my time or effort to continue with this, I called head office over 5 days ago and I’m still waiting for a phone call! And a valid reason why leaving a review is frowned upon
