Don't serve food, just good pub

Frankness is great.. food is fabulous! Lovely family run business..The only neg I have is I travel 40 mins to here its that good it is! so give them a call make sure it's open first!! I've been a few times and it's been closed & check it's not run out of food!! Cause it's so delicious there might be none left as we have experienced...Apart from that it's well worth a visit. Shame shuts at 3pm 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

There is a big sine on the door telling you that your not aloud to use the toilet if you don't buy anything well gess what I wall not be going back there and if think you shod go some where more friendly

Came here for a game of pool but didn't mange to get a game due to the group of fellas enjoying themselves but had a n8ce quite pint regardless.

Nice pub but if you put money in jukebox on quite nights during week and on a busy Fri day when it's a free jukebox people who normally don't play the juke box play it just for the fact it's free play it and use up all free plays which is not right

Nice pub unless your expected to sit at a unsanitary table with all kinds of rubbish under your feet while barmaid is talking to people at bar instead of doing the job she is paid to do

Made to feel very welcome, great staff, great atmosphere and reasonable price, will hopefully be back when visiting family.

Dead friendly barstaff and clientele, nice pint, pool table, dart board, sports screens and outdoor seating. Good all round pub

There is something for everyone here. Quiet night out, lively weekends, all sports on the TVs. Decor is lovely, staff are fantastic, friendly and very hard working.

A nice local pub on main bus route good sports on tv bar staff very plesent and friendly had no real ale but a pool table beer not a bad price will call again when passing Derek 👍✔🚘🍺

Don't get drink in appropriate glass if you drink San Miguel due to customer taking them and barmaid who does not collect empty glasses off your table does not make sense needs looking into

Bar manager, Barney (the bulldog) was a bit offhand and started putting the chairs on the tables about 10.15 pm and shouting "Ain't you got no 'omes to go to". Bit rude I thought. However the beer was only 20 pence a pint and you could get a cheese and onion roll for 10 pence. Mind you, that was 1974 so its probably improved a lot since then.

Haven't been in this pub for years but called in for a pint while I was visiting friends in the area. Must say that it hasn't really changed much apart from the staff. I remember a lovely lady called Mary who used to work there who has now retired. The current staff are equally as nice though and I was served straight away with my pint. (Although to be honest there were only 2 other people in the pub!) I was going to have my lunch in there as I remember it to be quite good for the food, but they don't serve any type of food any longer. Only stayed for the one pint and off to The Sefton for my lunch but enjoyed going back in there.Brought back a lot of memories!

Tough by name but not in nature, great gentle atmosphere that you can even take the kids. Great.

Awful Food... Had different things on the menu here a few times, to see if there was any quality, but if any then it is very minimal. Can tell this is one of those pubs who sell food for the right to say that they do food and drink. Not satisfied whatsoever!!

The new manager is trying very hard to bring in new business. I hope he succeeds as the pub is friendly, the staff are lovely and it should be a great place to go. I will definately be back.

Waited an hour and half for basic food and manager wouldn't come out to speak to us. Great food in the past just hope you don't get friends or staff ordering after you or you get pushed back. Not acceptable especially when you want to feed children. Will not be returning

Great atmosphere for any occasion. Also under new management with new chef. Food is 10 times better. Great friendly staff always and made welcome. Kids are welcomed as it is a family pub. Plenty of room to be quiet or be in company. Have entertainment on weekends and cater for everyone.

I can understand why they're looking for new management. I look forward for the face-lift.

Under new management since last went. It was the basic pub food. Cheap and chearfull. Place could do with a lick of paint.
