Got a salt and pepper box, , was over cooked very dry , too salty , no green peppers just onions , very dissapointed as had this many times and usually lovely , felt like it had been left for while in the shop and gone dry

Best chippy for us,brilliant food and excellent service,prices are also very good!

Please be aware this takeaway has changed owners !!!!! After 20yrs of custom, we will not return again. £31 worth of food in bin. It was awful. Rang shop to complain, all they say is OK OK and hang up.

I bought some kind of set meal deal for one thing from there. They used to be good value but now all you get is some fried thin crispy things and a kilo of rice with a little sauce. Disappointed.

We've bought takeaways from here for almost 30 years. Sadly, since Alex recently sold the business, tonight will be our last visit having given it a second chance. Chips despite asking for them to be well cooked were still pale, the curry fell out of the carton as a slab. The Singapore fried rice was ok and the spring rolls very nice. The organisation was poor and despite ordering via phone it took ages to prepare. The end of a previously enjoyable era. 😓

I went here and ordered a very large order which was a mixture of soups meals and appetisers we was all disappointed with the lot soup was watery and tasteless Meals had no meat it was all sauce with bits of veg in also very small portions Pies was cold and under cooked Gravy was very dark and thick Chips was small and crispy

Been ordering the spicy garlic chilli wings for years, loved them, moved away and thought I'd order from here when being back for a week, wings have changed into soggy ones in sauce within the last 6 months? And then when I rang up to try to return them as they're not what I ordered you tried gaslighting me and telling me they've always been like that? Dunno who you've got running the shop these days Alex but when they're trying to gaslight me and tell me I'm wrong when they've been my go to there for years, yeah I'm done mate, good way to lose someone who's been coming back for 10+ years, told me to mention it and get some free salt and pepper chicken next time? I legit don't live here anymore so I can't hahaha, really isn't the place it used to be.

Chips were disgusting were warm ups Got three portions no body ate them Will not order from there again

We used this chippy all the time ,food was always delicious but lately its been disappointing. Peppers in the sweet and sour when there wasn't before , beef mushroom has a gelatinous quality to it and tonight the fried rice was congealed, in clumps and the chicken foo young had a funny taste to it ! It's like there's completely different people running the place ? Not sure we will carry on ordering from here anymore .

Under new management ! Didn’t have good experience here before and gave it another try yesterday because this is the closest chippy to us. Food’s excellent, hot and fresh. I have been told it’s under new management, I hope they will keep high standard up.

Me and my partner ordered sweet and sour chicken and a house special curry. It was delicious and arrived piping hot.great takaway.

First time ordering a Hot&Sour soup as well as a House Special Noodle box from this Takeaway! The texture of the noodle was amazing and the taste was phenomenal !!! Definitely coming back for more !!!

Last time I ordered here was February, the food then was nice. Fast forward two months and it’s gone awful. Beef curry fried rice was delivered with no curry. The salt and pepper chicken was soggy instead of crispy and the special fried rice was a disgrace. The meat on top was burned and tiny & the rice tasted like it had been cooked in a dirty pan. The chips were all just sharp bits of potato. I have never had a problem ordering here before but from now on I’ll be ordering somewhere else. Quality of the food and meals has deteriorated so much.

Always ordered here twice a week for few years used to be beautiful ordered a few weeks ago and was disgusting beef wasn't cooked in the beef kung po and meals have changed they used to do a lovely crispy beef in szechuan sauce but tastes nothing like it used to be so we phoned up to find out it had been taking over and a new chef they were not bothered that we wasn't happy with the food not ordered from here since and never will we have found a better chippy we also gave a heads up to family and friends who we recommended this chippy to keep well away from here 😊

Probably the last order for the driver (of about 4) freezing!! Spent lot of money with this chippy, very disappointed

Been sick for that past two days found out the chicken was still raw, been told that it's Impossible even though I'm a chef and know its raw, chicken wings had no flavour prawn toast was very weird taste and chicken sweetcorn soup was oil ( how i do not no), on the phone person was Very rude been told me n my partner not well and said to come into store and give a refund, not a chance I've lost two days pay in work and your making me go to you when you've gave us raw food no chance.

Chip barm was a seeded bun with chips full of grease. Prawn toast got threw away after one bite because it tasted off 🤢

Disgusting chippy had a chicken dinner chicken was over cooked and dry tasted like it hade been cooked over and over again probably from the night before also chips were hard and dry use to love this chippy but its gone down hill never again.

Wasn't the best wouldn't go again ,worse fish and chips I had in a long time😞

Total waste of money won't be ordering again ... used to be a lovely chippy it's gone right down the pan .... May be new owners?

Just called Happy Garden regarding the food we had tonight and the fact that we were not happy ended up speaking to the manager who defended his takeaway food. We had chicken and sweetcorn soup straight in the bin. Sweet and sour chicken that turned out to be pork but could gave been anything it was so caramelized straight in the bin. Special fried rice 2 prawns and several slices of chewy meat in the bin. Hot and sour soup though was good. Due to the attitude of the manager we will.never use this takeaway again.

Food was good... Staff weren't really keen... Had a drunken fool on the next table.... Really loud and annoying..

Always get a set meal for 1 for myself and the wife. Always fresh and tasty. Best chippy around

Food was good for a great value. The Won Ton soup was really delicious. My partner that retrieved the food talked with a big smile about the friendly staff so that's always a big plus.

Food we ordered was all cold, the chips were cold and soggy. The main meals taste nothing like what there meant to taste like, chicken sweet corn soup was frezzing as if they never sent it warm. Kids never touch theirs. Never again will we order from here.

So I have eaten there a couple of times as I live really close but I realised that some of the prawn crackers are wet sometimes and yellow and the donner kebab has A LOT of grease in it, it was like a pool at he bottom of my tray. In all honesty it is extremely disgusting and you shouldn’t eat here but it tastes really good

I’m sorry but the food wasn’t that great , my dads curry shop is better and he’s from India and we don’t have any money (any change will be appreciated). Food ordered was awful, ribs were tough and what was supposed to be Szechuan chicken tasted like rubber with tinned veg in bisto. Wierd bisto sauce all over the special chow mein too....went into the bin
