Breakfast arrived cold very late and there was a blonde hair in with my egg

We were cycling and on our last legs...nearly dead we came upon this oasis selling sugary drinks with a warm smile. I honestly think without this pub we'd be dead.

Wondeful pub🙂 In a lovely village. A great friendly welcome when entering and a good selections of drink. The food was good. Hope to come back again.

Came for lunch and a catch up with a friend. What a friendly welcome- dogs are welcome!!A spacious, spotlessly clean place. We had a lovely window table. Tasty cheese omelette- just what I wanted. Highly recommend this pub for food, service and ambience.

Stopped here for a pint and some lunch. Nice pub nice food and good service. Scampi very good and wife had an omelette also good. Dog friendly, ours got a little treat.

I came to this lovely unspoilt English Pub last week with my Father and Sister and we were made to feel so welcome and it was so cosy with a beautiful fire in the hearth to welcome us. The food and service were impeccable 👌. Thanks again. Dale and Family.

Had a very well cooked and presented meal. Everyone was so friendly. We had a 4 year old with us and we felt very comfortable. The lady who served us was smashing.

Our new local. Visited the Bull a few times over the 17yrs we have lived in the area. Now the new landlord/lady are in place I can see us going every week. Pizza night every other Thursday. Great beer . Open for coffee mornings, for race days and for the local hikers. Food is basic pub grub but I am sure they will add more in the future.

This was a halfway point between my friends & I - what a find! Really nice, quaint pub in the middle of a village where the owners were really welcoming & friendly. The drink prices were reasonable & food was delicious (I can definitely recommend the Bacon & Cheeseburger with fries)! Whether you are actually from the area, or just on a nice drive through the villages of Suffolk, you won't be disappointed by this lovely little 'boozer'. Thank you!!

Very quiet as we visited on a Tuesday lunchtime. The landlord was very friendly and the sandwiches we had were very tasty and freshly made.

As our business has moved to Burrough Green, we've frequented The Bull a few times now, and will certainly be returning regularly! New landlords are incredibly friendly, and they are creating a true village pub, to be the centre of the community. To my knowledge, they currently offer breakfast rolls and a few hot dishes through the day, as the kitchen is being renovated - we've had zero complaints on what we've eaten so far, so we look forward to when the kitchen is fully up and running. Dog-friendly, child-friendly, with seating inside and outside. Definitely recommend.

Very friendly atmosphere. It was nice to go to a pub we didn't know and end up chatting with the landlords and the other customers.

Popped in for a drink whilst out on the motorbike. Fantastic spot, with a super friendly, funny and engaging couple who run it. Whilst we didn't eat, the food coming out of the kitchen looked very tasty. Will definitely be going back again soon. 10 out of 10.

Great to see the Pub open again. Popped in with my Mum and daughter for an impromptu lunch. Fab owners, so welcoming and a great menu. The food was delicious. Thank you, we will most definitely be supporting this great local Pub.

29th April 2023 - So glad it is open again and the kitchen is back on line following a burst pipe. What this lovely traditional village pub now needs is for its former customers to come back and support the new publicans........ Sitting out in the sunshgine gazing out onto the peaceful village green whilst enjoying a beer and sandwich is what these pubs are all about. Saving the fifth star for when we have had a proper meal there but we have been going to this pub for over 25 years.

Recently taken back over after being shut for a good while. Fantastic to see this little destination pub back open, the heart of the village. Brilliant spot and very welcoming new landlords, they create a great atmosphere and are just lovely. Pleasant company in the pub, great beer and a good selection of food on the menu. I will return and I recommend highly for the summer. Thank you

Good old country pub with good food and beer

We only popped in for a drink. Looked a lovely pub inside and they had a band setting up over Jubilee weekend. Would definitely go back and try the food.

Decent Cask in a lovely pub. The Burgers are to die for and the (Monday to Friday) BOGOF offer is decent. Great music of a weekend too. Staff good, on the whole; except when putting the content on their mobile phone before customers.

Lovely vibe lots of friendly people some with dog's called in on way home from Haverhill landlord a little offish almost seemed to much bother to pour 3 half pints however lots of people outside very welcoming

Nicely located right near the green. Good selection of Ales. Was able to enjoy an England game there which was on the big screen, and an excellent BBQ to boot. Local folks lovely and bar staff and kind. My only quibble would be that due to the match excitement social distancing was not always what it could have been and masks were not worn as per the government guidance. It did make me less confident in venturing out to other venues in future.

Visited whilst me and my partner stayed in the area for the night. We received quite a cold welcome (well thats how it felt), no sort of welcome or conversation but more awkward looks and lack of smiles. Made us uncomfortable to tell the truth. Kind of felt like outsiders because we werent locals. Was a shame because it put us off having another drink. One gentleman was lovely though (unsure if he was a staff member or customer however.....)

Great staff, always feel welcomed by them, suppose because they all know me and I them, but I can go to other pubs and not feel that (not all pubs but some), landlady Colette is friendly willing to have a chat with people, great team of people. They do their best to make everyone feel appreciated and it shows. Plus they are on top of keeping the pub clean and sanitised amidst this covid pandemic even employing people just to make sure of it. Decent ales on and well looked after (although I tend to stick to the IPA as I like the dark ales usually found in the colder months not a fan of lighter ales myself but I'm sure they give them the same care).

Another excellent Sunday lunch on such an awful day. Log fire, Roast beef, what more could you ask for.

We had a lovely meal tonight with 3 kids. We were made to feel very welcome. The food was good and we didn’t have to wait very long for it to arrive. I will defiantly be visiting again.

Worst service ever recieved. Friday night didn't book but saw empty tables decided to give it a try as we have just moved to the local area. Our family were down to visit. We all ordered through same till same person one after the other. Our first lot of food came out after a 45 minute wait. We were then told our meals wouldn't be long and I had to go back after an hour to ask when. 1 HR 10 mins later still nothing. No apologies, no drinks offered, no discounts offered. Nobody else sermeed to be eating either. Eating out is meant to be less stressful and quicker. We were told our orders wnet through seperately, but any other restaurant do it by table number that's why you go out to eat together. I wouldn't bother going. Greene king pubs are usually slow but this topped it, made us not want to return to Newmarket area to eat again.
