A very nice friendly pub. Dexter the labrador top guy. I enjoyed a very nice lamb roast here recently accompanied by a delicious red wine. I still struggle with the price of craft ale. The equipment of £56 per gallon. I could get to Scotland in my Fiat 500 on fuel at that price!

Just enjoyed my first visit to the Brook. A friendly welcome, nice locals and good location. Enjoyed a pint and a couple of glasses of a very nice Portuguese red wine. I would rate the lamb roast as the best I have eaten over the last twelve months. A good selection of well cooked vegetables and flavoursome gravy. Very convenient for Brentford railway station. The hosts are most welcoming. ..

A brilliant place with the friendliest landlord and clientele. We drank craft beer, nice wine and ate amazing thai food. This place is so worth a visit for the art, vinyl, banter, beer and general “everything a pub should be”. Recommend the chardonnay we whacked down two bottles.

We were staying in a hotel just round the corner so popped in for a drink. Great selection of lagers and ales! Decided to have some food as the landlord was lovely and his wife was making fresh home cooked food. My partner had a curry which was bloomin lovely and i went for the burger. Best burger i can remember having. He even went out to buy fish fingers for our little girl. I couldn't rate this hidden gem highly enough.

A rare find indeed in the back streets of Brentford you will come across an exception pub much loved by locals and visitor alike. If you are visiting the area (staying in one of the many local hotels), you are made to feel most welcome and like a regular almost immediately by the landlord and locals alike. There is an every changing list of craft beers and ciders, they also have some great choices of wines and excellent home-made food. On Wednesdays and Thursdays traditional Thai food is cooked by Nook and Friday to Sunday you can selection either small bites or larger meals from the main menu which changes regularly and, of course, they do a great Sunday roast with possibly the best gravy in the world! I would always suggest you book, their food is popular. The pub is beautifully decorated and had a recent, colourful summer-vibe make-over in their sunny garden - lovely for evening drinks and nibbles. Another thing the pub is loved for is its massive vinyl selection - Tim the landlord is playful with the music, and you will experience his very diverse collections, always a talking point! This really is a fantastic local pub and worth a visit if you are in the Brentford Area

I’ve walked past this place many. Many times over the decades and have not bothered with giving it a try On Sunday after lunch a group of 5 of us were on the way to another pub nearby There was something enchanting about The Brook with its little gate at the front and the sunlit bar which prompted us to give it a try We were not disappointed I started off with a wonderful pint of cider served by the charming landlord very shortly followed by a top notch Negroni Coupled with some old school bar top roast potatoes brought to us by the lady of the manor Great chat and a group of very friendly locals To top it all the landlord was also a vinyl DJ across the afternoon What a great time we all had ! The menu looks great and will certainly give the food a go next time we visit All in all a great find

This is our favorite pub in London. Tim and his wife Tosh are genuinely nice people who run a friendly pub and offer outstanding food. Our small tour group from Arizona found The Brook on Trip Advisor, and it became our “home away from home” while we were in Brentwood and London. After touring southern England for a week, we had one last night in London and we immediately went back to The Brook for our farewell party. Tim and Tosh (and the pub dog, Dexter) greeted us like family. We’ll try to get back to London someday, and when we do The Brook will be our first stop. Highly recommended!

Places like this are becoming rare. A proper local boozer. The space is light, airy and beautifully decorated. The couple that run the place are incredibly friendly, energetic, engaging and professional. After my first visit, they greeted me like a regular the second time and remembered my drink choice. My partner came down for a weekend and this was the first place I took her. The food was terrific and very good value indeed. The place is properly engaged with the area - locally-made marmalade and cards can be bought. The owner is music mad (there’s a turntable in the bar) and it’s one of those police’s you end up actually talking to people (a rarity in that there London). Also - there are no screens showing endless football - a bonus for me. There’s a lovely beer garden and the whole vibe is just welcoming, inclusive, friendly and exactly the way a local pub should be. I had stayed in Brentford for weeks before I found this utter gem and I wish I’d found it sooner. Seek it out. You will not be disappointed.

We had an excellent Thai meal last night cooked on the premises by Nook. Tim the owner made us feel very welcome and women unaccompanied by a man can feel very comfortable and relaxed. Good choice of wine and non alcoholic drinks as well as craft beers. Will most definitely return to sample the rest of the menu. Dogs very welcome too!

We stumbled across this fantastic place whilst staying nearby for the rugby at Twickenham. The minute we walked in the door we were made to feel like one of the locals. Tucked away on the corner of a quiet residential street, it makes a refreshing change to the manufactured bars and pubs that are so common these days, Great selection of beers and fantastic home cooked food, not to mention the most amazing staff, we left this place planning a hasty return when next in the neighbourhood. Special thanks to the wonderful couple Tim and Tosh for making us feel so welcome with their gorgeous black Labrador Dexter. This is how pubs should be!

Found this pub/Diner a while ago whilst visiting my son who lives nearby. Over numerous visits have always had a warm welcome from the Landlord and his wife. He does the Bar, she does the cooking and the Bar. Good range of good draught beers most of which have been new to me. Limited menu but I've always found something I like the sound of, and more importantly liked the taste of. Another good point for me is most of the customers are mature or Families with well behaved children. None of the 'yobbish' types.

Absolutely blown away by this place. We had a long day and arrived in Brentford tired and hungry. Found The Brook on-line and phoned to see if we could get a table and from the phone call we felt very welcomed and walked straight over. The landlord was so friendly and he even made our kids smile and laugh. Everything about this place is great. The food and the drink were both superb. Atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. There was something on the menu to suit all of us including the kids. If the kids hadn’t been so tired we could of stayed all evening. Will definitely be back when we come back to Brentford.

Nice atmosphere if a bit twee for me. Staff were lovely and service was quite quick despite it being very busy on a Sunday morning. Down side was that the pancakes I had were very dry in the middle and really hard on the rim. For that price - very expensive - I was disappointed.
