Went there with after we played football with some of our group. Amazing food, beer and service. The atmosphere is great and the owner who is very friendly came over for a chat with us. Will definitely return in the future.

Amazing Mix Grill. Chilli sauce was one of the best I've had. Service was also amazing, gave us more Chilli sauce and got our food out very quick.

Good food in a great setting. The staff were very friendly and the place is kept clean which is a bonus. The beer is good and very reasonably priced which is a huge plus. The crispy chilli chips were definitely a highlight. The chicken wrap however was slightly underwhelming with a lack of flavour and filling. It was mainly just naan bread. I would definitely recommend coming here for the drinks as they are cheap. Overall a very pleasant experience and I would recommend for people to come here.

My experience of eating there was very bad. The chef and girls working with him misbehaved with our family members when we complained about them. Actually we got a stone on food. And they were not accepting it.

Brilliant food and drinks at bargain prices

I visited The British Queen with my friend, and while the pub is old, there was enough seating available. The food is really good – we had the mixed grill, chili chicken, and butter chicken, all of which were fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place for a satisfying meal.

Not been in a few years now and it was always a great place for food etc. Went back last week and wow food is even better. Mixed grill superb currys just as good. Chilli chips lovely. Cant fault the place. Plenty of selection for beer on tap and bottled.

As a new guy in the world of Desi pubs, I was very impressed! TBQ has a great selection of lagers large, TV's showing sport and a fantastic food counter at the back of the pub serving asian food. The people who run/work at the pub are really friendly and the food portion are HUGE!! 3 sizes of mixed grill and I ordered the large (one in the middle) and I couldn't eat it all - me and the missus both had to bring it back home! I came a few weeks ago for the first time with friends and had a curry - that was equally as nice. The pub may look a bit dubious to some from the outside but please don't let that put you off as it's brilliant! Highly recommended!

This is our new go to place in Brum now for a decent Indian flavour. The lads i go with always have a grill and a curry, I stick to my staple curry. On this occasion I opted for a lamb claypot special. Very flavoursome, not hot at all. The grill I've never had as you can get that from anywhere. The food is tasty and well worth it. Price is decent too.

The pub is small but cosy. Service is superb.!!! But the best part is the food.!! The quality and the taste is miles ahead of many many good quality Indian restaurants. Must try- goat curry, tandoori prawns.!!!

The food here is some of the best that Birmingham has to offer. From mixed grill to any Indian curries and breads that you can ask for. The staff are all very friendly and the speed of the service is impressive. Meaning you don’t need to order in one go you can just ask for more naan as and when. There was 8 of us in total and we spent around £94 that included two rounds of drinks.

Not exactly the flashiest of places, but the food alone is well worth giving it 5 stars.

Myself and a lot of my friends from my Masonic Lodge meet up here for an excellent selection of foods, outstanding service, friendly and welcoming staff and such a warm reception. Highly recommended to anyone who maybe just want a snack with their drink, or a 5 course meal. Definitely rated 11/10.

Iv eaten in most local curry pubs most have there ups and downs. This is in my opinion the best all rounder. Food is really nice. , portions are good. unlike some other places reducing sizes.

No longer the best Punjabi grill in Birmingham! Old chef prior to lockdown is no longer to be seen and this is reflected in the quality of the food being served currently. Greater focus is required in the kitchen to bring the standard of dishes to how they once were.

Me and my mate went here last night after hearing nothin but good thing about the food. We were not disappointed, food was beautiful. We had a mix grill to share. Tikka, shish kebab, chicken wings and lamb chops. Then a lamb bhuna and a lamb dopiaza with egg fried rice and a keema naan. Everything was bang on! Lovely and fresh ,full of flavour! We will definitely be back for a curry and a drink soon!

The food is of the best best in the Midlands made by a Gourmet Chef. The kitchen has just been rebuilt and has a 5***** food higyene rating. The pub has just been refurbished and the ambience is second to none. The Publican is one of the most hospitable person you would wish to meet and is most welcoming and cannot do enough for you. Fantastic Balti and night out experience. Best dish in the house, Chicken Jalfrzei (made with chicken breast) medium, with garlic naan.

Good quality food, the recent refurbished has made the place more attractive. Mixed grills and curry's are cooked fresh while you wait and have drink at bar. Will be visiting regularly.

Well looks are deceiving, went here for work Xmas meal and the drive up to the pub was well, made me think as its quite unassuming. But get inside and it's a no frills place, but trust me the food was from that, it was absolutely amazing, everyone in the table loved the food and portions were so good, we had to take food away home.
