Great public house friendly staff making you most welcome.

Always a nice warm welcome from Barbara + Ray who have been running this establishment for over 35 years and have always kept it a nice traditional pub with a nice warm welcome for regulars and visitors alike and make nice hosts.

It was a funeral party but the staff were really helpful and service was excellent

Quiet, old, local pub in Upholland. Small function room upstairs. Limited car-parking to the front and side.

Staying in a local hotel we came across this place. Nice pint, friendly girl behind bar & nice friendly locals.

Dingy little pub, so dark and quiet in there. Think you may need to be a regular to be accepted in. Had 1 pint and got off, to many dogs in there for my liking. The noise of dogs swigging water was louder than the tv. Nice pint, though 👍. Be reluctant to come again.

Really nice atmosphere and friendly people. I'm new to the area so it was nice to meet some friendly locals.

Nice pub in my local area, staff lovely. Dogs welcome here also.

Visited the brit for a pool night so didn't experience the pub completely and it was a Thursday so probably not as busy as it can get but still a friendly atmosphere and nice place. More of a traditional pub but great to see one still standing. I had a Madri which was a good pint, few other selections on offer.

Decent selection of beers and good friendly service.No food service.Toilets are clean and tidy,but ladies need to be able to negotiate small flight of stairs.Nice local for a drink and chat.👍

Popped in for one drink ended up staying for 3, the landlady was a fabulous host, so welcoming, we will return.

Popped in for some refreshment with some friends. On arrival, masked up, used the hand sanitizer, walked through to the beer garden day under a gazebo. Table service , as we arrived separately the staff were very pleasant and efficient, second round of drinks requested and I was asked "same as before" so the staff remembered our order and brought it to the table.

Riverfront venue that serves food

Barred from this pub by the landlady for reporting what we suspected as a " drunk driver" leaving the pub, he couldn't walk in a straight line, staggered across the road in front of us, then drove off in his van since then we have been abused, vilified and effectively bullied on a local Facebook page by apparent " customers" of this pub - speaks volumes of the licencee and their customers, needless to say we will not be going there again.
