The Briggate, Wetherspoon in Leeds

Second time in two year in this Spoons. We just got pizza this time but they were excellent. I must visit about 25 different Wetherspoons a year and this is definitely one of the better ones. Cask ale was nice too.

Much prefer this venue as apposed to the Crossgates branch. Food, service, and clientele not to mention cleanliness. Much better all round experience.

Hard working staff, always helpful. Good parking and decent food & drink for the price. Lovely atmosphere for a meet-up with family or friends.

Hemos utilizado el Briggate desde la apertura, pero lamentablemente no volveremos a utilizar. El lugar está ahora tan deteriorado y las sillas y alfombras realmente necesitan ser reemplazados, ya que están sucios y las sillas están sucias y rayadas. Es más notable a la luz del día que no se han limpiado regularmente y realmente podría hacer con una buena limpieza o nuevas. Ahora no es un buen lugar para tener una experiencia cómoda.

Una de mis cucharas favoritas. Grande y ocupado pero acogedor. El personal definitivamente trabaja duro aquí con el volumen de clientes. Siempre han tenido un servicio rápido en el bar. No se encontraron problemas en absoluto, incluyendo máquinas de bebidas a diferencia de algunos otros lugares.

Very busy but we still received our food within 10 minute's of ordering, and was of good quality

Popped in for breakfast, food was preety decent and hot although along wait, but it was busy. Tables were not cleaned, but standard for a spoons

Massive place. Usual excellent prices...food as you expect. The staff are so friendly and helpful but unfortunately we hit on a time when the male duty manager with a tash was feeling depressed and he was more like Basil Fawlty on a bad day...other than him.....it's a fantastic venue...check it out.

El peor filete que he tomado. Se supone que son 28 días madurados pero fue muy aunque y masticable. Al señalarle esto a la gerente fue grosera y condescendiente, siguió llamándome "cariño", lo que me pareció muy irrespetuoso.

Este es mi lugar favorito para el desayuno. Hay un montón de espacio, el lugar está limpio y el personal es amable. Me encanta este lugar.

Mi hermana y yo vinimos aquí recientemente para un almuerzo rápido. Aparcamos gratis cerca y caminamos hasta The Briggate. No se ve tan grande desde afuera pero me sorprendió lo grande que era por dentro. Encontramos una mesa y luego fui al bar a hacer nuestro pedido. No me gusta usar la aplicación, ya que me gusta comprobar qué ventas tienen en oferta y prefiero tratar con seres humanos detrás de la barra. Pedí un almuerzo de fish & chips con guisantes mushy y mi hermana fue por un pequeño plato de jamón y huevo frito con papas fritas. Tenía una pinta de Ruddles Best que venía con el precio de la comida. Sorprendentemente para nosotros dos la factura llegó en menos de 18 libras. ¿Cómo es eso para una ganga. ¡Todo bien!

Great place for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Always very busy but cannot fault the service and quality of the food. Free coffee refills.

My sister & I came here recently for a quick lunch. We parked for free nearby and walked down to The Briggate. It doesn't look that big from the outside but I was surprised how large it was inside. We found a table then I went to the bar to place our order. I don't like using the App as I like to check out what ales they have on offer and I prefer to deal with human beings behind the bar. I ordered a fish & chips lunch with mushy peas and my sister went for a small ham & fried egg dish with chips. I had a pint of Ruddles Best which came with the price of the meal. Amazingly for the two of us the bill came in less that 18 quid. How's that for a bargain. All good!

Love a bit of people watching at spoons

As wetherspoons go this is definitely one of them. Its big and noisy. But it's not better or worse than the other wetherspoons that you've been to.

Está bien y todo menos los pudines vienen CON su plato principal si no lee la letra muy pequeña que dice "Reunimos todos los platos..." La aplicación es mala también. Cuando mi familia pidió la aplicación puso en 2 de este artículo y por lo que pedimos un reembolso. No es exactamente necesario para una comida familiar. El servicio era bueno. El personal era agradable sobre todo. No es necesario reservar una mesa. En general estaba bien

We are always there, so we must like it! 😂 I would like some better guest beers more often. We are members of CAMRA and would love a better variety of great and champion beers, but it is our local and we support it. It is a great community hub actually, seeing all ages frequenting at different times and days and I love that.

Breakfast was not hot cold fried eggs..but was in a rush..but prices are great.. I will try again...it wasn't busy, get what you pay for.

Regular visitor. The food is very inconsistent. Some days it's excellent, others it's cold and not very nice. Service is good though and you can always get a replacement.

Exactly what you would expect from a Wetherspoon's pub. Cheap and cheerful, good selection of food which is a decent standard, and good for the price range.

Cheap and cheerful. Can recommend the bbq chicken, skinny chicken burger and Katsu curry. Also the breakfast pancakes, if early enough.

Listen it's Spoons! No review needed you know what your going to get. But there are bad Spoons and good Spoons and this happily is one of the good ones. Very busy on Saturday afternoon with the pre loading Leeds bound weekend warriors.

My local Wetherspoons which I visit a few times a week.Friendly staff gr8 food and drink.Parking to the rear and a Quiz Night on Sunday!!! If your I the area well worth a visit.

Placed order at the bar, walk to make our hot drinks on looking around couldn't see cups, I asked the chap next to me where they where to be told you get them at the bar, walked over again said I hadn't been given any cups to be told it was because I had walked away I replied "that I walked away because you said next" so presumed I was finished with, on walking away i could hear the girl bitching behind my back, i then had to rejoined the drink que again, the food arrived and it was stone cold and if you've ever eaten a cold mushroom it was disgusting needless to say I left half of it, first time going and will defo be last.

Visité el bergantín esta mañana para tomar un café con un familiar, tristemente me quedé impactado por las sillas que tuvimos que utilizar. Eran absolutamente sucios y muy antihigiénicos y no se habían limpiado durante mucho tiempo. Estaban muy mal manchados y fuera de lugar. dichas sillas estaban situadas cerca de la entrada del local.

Estuve aquí un par de veces este año para la comida! ¡Nunca tuve un problema! Es un precio decente. Siempre disfrutar de la comida y nunca he estado esperando mucho tiempo. Puede pedir en la mesa o en el bar. El personal es muy amable y servicial. Es bastante espacioso por dentro, por lo que hay mucho espacio para la gente. Los baños suelen limpiarse. Definitivamente es un tipo de ambiente bienvenido para todos aquí! Sin duda recomendaría este lugar!

Don't bother ordering anything from the breakfast menu nothing is cooked on sight just microwaved to various states of lukewarm the coffee is just about passable but that's the only thing worth ordering If you raise your complaint with the manager you're met with a blank expression and no comment

A typical Spoons. Toilets a mile upstairs with a disabled toilet on the ground floor. Could do with a little spruce up inside. The outside area has had new tables and chairs added. Fantastic prices for food and drink, parking right next to the pub in the public car park around the back. Lots of seating areas, including booth seating, which is great for the kids.

De camino a Yorkshire del Norte, paramos en The Briggate para comer algo. Claramente fue un destino popular en nuestra visita, ya que las mesas eran muy caras. Encontramos uno en la parte trasera del pub y pedimos nuestras comidas. El pub era lo suficientemente cómodo Wetherspoons, razonablemente limpio con servidores que estaban encantados de ayudar. La comida llegó después de una corta espera, interrumpiendo la conversación en curso con nuestra hija adolescente sobre cómo, ya sabes, el programa es impresionante. Y yo estaba como, no es tan bueno y ella estaba, ya sabes, lo es y esas cosas. Para ser honesto, no recuerdo mucho detalle, me fui. La comida era un descanso bienvenido y los currys estaban absolutamente bien. Cocinado muy bien, sabroso, sin quejas en absoluto. Sin duda volveremos si alguna vez estamos en la zona de nuevo. Ya sabes, como, que fue malvado.

It was overall a good experience, had a good night. Was busy which made it loud but that was nothing on the venues fault. Staff was nice and food came out quick even for it being busy

I ordered the American burger and chips, not well presented on plate, burger was smaller than i expected. My parents ordered fish and chips which they enjoyed. Accessible toilets were dirty, staff members informed and cleaned following this. Good atmosphere although tables not wiped after people left

we are regulars, often coming to this establishment 3/4 times a week. the wetherspoons employees are really really lovely and so personable; they make us feel welcome whenever we come. however, the security staff are among the rudest i’ve ever known. demanding to see my ID when i’ve been here for over 3 hours and have already had my age checked by other members of staff. if this is the treatment that a regular customer gets then i’m extremely disappointed. but as i said, the wetherspoons employees are lovely. it’s just a shame that the security staff aren’t.

I thought Jeremy Beadle was going to pop out. Went for a cheap and cheerful family tea on Tuesday steak night. This is a large venue and I'm guessing you either need more staff at busy periods or you need new staff altogether. The pub was busy but with enough empty tables to choose from, however the majority of the empty tables had either not been cleared of plates etc, or needed wiping down. The amount of rubbish on the floor was actually shocking. Found a table with no table number on it, went to the bar to place our order and was happy with the service at the bar. The waitress came with our food pretty quickly and all portion sizes were small. There was no cheese on our burgers, I asked if we could have cheese and she just said you didn't order it, and walked away. Thanks for that love. My steak (if you can call it that) was so well done I think I'm going to develop blisters on my fingers from trying to cut it, bearing in mind I asked for medium rare. It was so thin. It would have made a great replacement for the sole of a boot or to make a pair of Dr Martins, belt etc. My husband ordered the mixed grill which he said was OK, but to be fair he's used to eating my cooking, so I'd take this with a pinch of salt. We ordered 4 apple crumbles for pudding (just because we had promised the kids we would have pudding too) and this were actually a decent portion size and 3 out of the 4 were really tasty, but the crumble was soggy on all of them. Mine was too sour (I sound like Goldilocks now) and after looking like I could win a gurning competition gave up trying to eat it. This is hands down the worst "meal" we have ever had and this is saying something as we once had a holiday at Pontins.

Breakfast always cold , Luke warm . You have to gulp it down . Went over to Morrisons in Wood Green and there breakfast were hot .

For the past couple of weeks we were unable to get a seat or table to even order any food...! This is due to bad management as I never experience this in other Witherspoons..

I just went for a spot of lunch so I didn't wander around the place. The bit I saw looked a bit "well used" to be honest. Whilst the food isn't cordon bleu it certainly filled a small gap and was rather enjoyable. I ordered via the app, my drink arrived pretty soon afterwards and the food arrived in a perfectly acceptable time Service was good.

Ordered a halloumi salad that should have come with roasted vegetables, but arrived with just tomato and cucumber?

Only had a cappuccino and a sandwich. Good for the price paid.

I only had a selection of real ales. A good range is available. It is easy to find seating most of the time. Better for me on Mondays when it's quiet. CAMRA Members discount vouchers are accepted here. Bus stop very close by.

Food was ok nothing specail could do with serving on warm plates would help, very quick service and a nice relaxed atmosphere much better than other pubs from the same chain.
