What a great little place. Very friendly staff. Good food and a perfect little beer garden with a massive screen for all sporting occasions.

Every year we have Christmas dinner at home so this year we thought we’d treat ourselves and eat out, we’ve been to the bridge before and it’s been excellent food, the meal was been served at 3pm so arrived at 230 for pre drinks, the starter arrived at 3.30pm, the main we waited and we waited, the top table got there food so we thought not long now and we waited and waited the top table finished theirs and we still hadn’t received ours! it was after 5pm by the time we received ours, the food was like it was a cook in the bag, the roasts were not fresh and we’re dry, we got a tiny bit of gravy rather than in a jug to help ourselves, the turkey was steaming hot which convinced us it had been microwaved because it wouldn’t be steaming if you did it right. The Yorkshire puddings were black and the pigs in blankets was a massive sausage with bacon but it wasn’t a normal sausage and some of it was raw. Most of the mains were left as we just couldn’t eat it. Desert came pretty fast after that considering how long we had waited for the main. Some of our party ordered curd tart but it wasn’t a curd tart, can’t describe what it resembled but it wasn’t curd tart. Some of us had trifle first of all we noticed there was a lot of fruit and nothing else but then it came apparent it hadn’t been layered incorrectly and it seemed like the dish had been on its side when it set because the sponge was behind the fruit, it was layered vertically rather than horizontally, the sponge was drenched in sherry so much it was uneatable and the custard was runny with squirty cream on top. We were due to visit friends so had to leave the crackers and cheese because we’d been there too long. We left just before 630. Overall we think they took too much on and definitely need a better chef, who needs to look up traditional Christmas dinners, they seem to have more bar staff than servers they’d of been better off having everyone mucking in not just leaving it to one person.

Visited the bridge in horsforth leeds today for 1st time since covid pandemic. What a change. Filthy disgusting place. Dust and dead insects on ALL of the window sills. Bar filthy and cluttered. People sat playing cards fir money on the table in the middle of the pub. Smoke billowing in through the door from the patrons stood smoking. It was more akin to an old fashioned tap room than an award winning gastro pub. This used to be an excellent place to eat. The pies were to die for. Now you would probably die if you ate one. Staff are only half heartedly doing their jobs. I ask for the table cleaning. A quick pray and a couple of swipes of a cloth. I took it off her and did it myself. As a former chef, Head barman, customer service trainer and examiner. I am shocked its still in existence. Needs a visit from the council I think !

Found a nice walk through woods and alongside the canal. Came upon the Bridge Inn and asked someone local if the Sunday dinner was good and they highly recommended us to go so we did. Dog friendly so perfect for us. Really great service, food absolutely fab and amazing price. We’re not local but definitely making a planned return.

Very disappointed. We were visiting family at the weekend and booked a table as we had eaten there previously and it was a good experience. However this time is was quite frankly awful. Table was sticky and dirty underneath. Food looked as though it had been thrown on the plates. One of our party ordered the salmon with dauphinois potatoes. It arrived with chunky chips . Spoke to the waitress and her response was “Yeah the chef has been weird today” !! After we had explained to her what is was as she had no clue!! No apology !!! A couple of the party would probably have had a desert but no offer of a desert menu !!! Will not be returning when we visit again !!!

My wife and I called here as we were in the area on business. It's a lovely old fashioned pub with lovely home cooked food ( and it really is home cooked too, that was obvious from the first bite). Good sized portions, not expensive at all, and good quality real ale too. The deluxe pies are magnificent, especially Chicken, Ham and Leek. Friendly and helpful staff, too.

Arrived this morning for breakfast as never tried it before. We entered and the stench hit us.... a mixture of wet dog/sweaty feet & like the place hadn't used cleaning products. The place was cluttered with stuff everywhere, just looked like steptoes yard. We made our excuses and left as there was no way we could've eaten with that smell... absolutely disgusting!!

I had booked a table for Father’s Day, turns out when we turned up it wasn’t the pub I recognised. I’d booked the wrong pub! I was actually after the Fox and Hound and wrongly thought it was called the bridge as the fox and hound is located by a bridge but decided to eat here anyway because the reviews were good. How wrong could I be? Staff were friendly but service was shocking Glad I brought my own highchair for my 6 month old son as they only had 1 highchair and it was disgustingly filthy and the pub wasn’t clean either. No masks were worn by the staff, dogs allowed to run around the pub, service was diabolical. My son was so stalled of the highchair because food took so long so my husband ate one handed whilst trying to keep him calm. The wine was bad quality and tasted like vinegar. I had Sunday roast and the chicken was hard and veg didn’t taste good. I was given the smallest amount of gravy on my food when I asked for it to be on the side. Other people in the pub were quite rowdy and loud, it wasn’t really the type of pub to have food in. My husband went to the toilet before we left and another man was sniffing cocaine and threw the bag it was in into the urinal! I can’t believe I even stayed. I should have walked out as soon as I realised the staff weren’t wearing masks. Disgusting place to have a 6 month old baby. Honestly cannot believe this place has good reviews!
