Best beer's from probably the best pub in area, frequently changing beer's, also food available, rolls ,snack's, Hot Motherchip menu. Beer & food heaven, beer tickers, welcome. Brewery events,like 'Tap Take Overs!' run through year. Usually has a beer festival,in the autumn! Takeaways are available, for beers & food! Live music Sunday afternoons. On 11/12 bus route.

The buffalo blue chips are amazing, can defo recommend

Formerly part of the Fat Cat chain of pubs, this one also houses the Fat Cat Brewery. The bar offers a range Fat Cat beers plus a wide range of guest ales on handpump or gravity. This is supplemented by a range of Craft and bottled beer. For light meals they serve a range of Mother Chips (chips with an interesting range of toppings). If you plan to eat check times and days they are served. Two large outside seating areas, the one to the rear of the pub is mainly covered, some tables with heaters. Great tap takeovers in collaboration with other breweries.

Plenty of Real Ale, some home brewed, also many taps of Craft Beer and local ciders. Went again in July, it was even better than before the pandemic. Chatty staff which is what really make a pub. The 11a and 12 buses stop (Bell Road) in front of the entrance

A very busy pub, but with it's wide range of drinks at reasonable prices. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is good.

Absolutely love this place. It's the best 'beer' pub in Norwich bar none. The beer selection is amazing, like a constant beer festival. The Motherchip loaded fries are great too. Got to be one of the best pubs in England

Great beer but it’s so expensive £7.60 for a pint of IPA which was only a 4.8%. It was a nice pint but it’s a lot of money for a pint in Norwich.

Our favourite pub in Norwich. Always have a really good range of ales and ciders. Great staff and atmosphere. This is a drinkers pub, they do serve food and it’s ok. But that’s not what we go for. If your looking for a place they serves a very wide range of top quality ales and ciders this is definitely worth a visit. If your hungry the food is ok, but don’t expect a plate and cutlery because that’s not what this type of pub is all about

Fair walk out of the city centre (25-30 mins) with a vast range of cask and keg beer offerings Sadly was served a pint that was clearly well past its best only to be told “its meant to look like that” (it isn’t) Probably wouldn’t rush back, but worth a visit if you’re into your local real ale

Lots of great beer on. Motherchip always delicious. They change them up now and then but keep favourites the same (looking at you Mac 'n' chicken). Got a good variety of meat replacement too. Keep it going guys.

This place is awesome - huge range of real ales, some brewed next door. Lots of outside seating at front and back, some under cover. If you like traditional British pubs but with a bit of a twist, you'll love The Brewery Tap.

Tap fest 2022 was incredible. Great selection of beers. Staff always friendly as usual and great atmosphere. Chips aren't too bad either 😉

Always a satisfying experience for taste curiosity - so many real ales and ciders, including göses and imported bottles and cans. Great food through Motherchip, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Lovely couple of pints this evening. Nice to see Green Mountain on tap, but this Verdant Light Bulb was superb!

Great pub - friendly staff, lovely beer, lots of space +’headroom so feels relatively safe even when busy.

Visited while in Norwich for work, came back the next night (which I never normally do). Huge selection of great beers, tasty food and friendly staff. No pics I'm afraid - too busy enjoying how it all tasted! Worth noting it was totally 100% comfortable here to be a woman alone just reading her book and enjoying her beer and burger. No hassle, just a few friendly passing chats.

This bar, like other fat cat bars, is a pearl of Norwich with very cool local beer. I advise everyone.

The best, drinking sweet, burnt malt, chocolatey stouts, what more can I say.the whole building echoed with laughter and good time conversations, I can't recommend this pub enough. If only I didn't live in Suffolk.

Good selection of beers in a comfortable venue. Worth a visit.

Very busy pub, mainly because it sells a fantastic array of real ales. Rugby was on whilst i was here and the vibe was great. It was my first time here so don't feel fully qualified to comment on the venue. Going back tomorrow to listen to a band! Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

Excellent choice of beers, knowledgeable and friendly staff, all in a relaxed environment. Beer choice regularly changes and has some innovative options, with food available in the form of loaded chips and burgers. There's plenty of outdoor seating space, with an area to the front and rear of the pub. Table service is currently offered and cards are accepted.

We came from Watton to join up with friends Mon night for your dark beer week, as advertised on your Web page, only to find you were closed for a private function. Very disappointing.

Wow.. Fat Cat does it again! Amazing place... Update: this pub has improved me, despite my lame previous review, this has an impressive range of local ciders and beers. I imagine a tourist would enjoy the local rural flavour.

Great place, huge selection of quality beers, great enthusiastic staff, plenty of room inside and out, only slight issue is from the car park you have to do a full lap of the perimeter of the property to get in....?... Why covid restrictions are being relaxed now the one way system in place seems a little out of touch now.... But that's not the end of the world just made me feel a bit sheep like and we have all had enough of that to last us a life time. Will be back 100%

Great food, great beer, great pub! These guys have been pro-active during lockdown, selling takeaway food and beer as well as sprucing up the pub to make sure it was fresh for when we could return. Lot of thought had gone to making it 'covid-secure' without wrecking the pub feel. Awesome 👍

A relaxed and civilised venue. A perfect place for a petfect gluten free pint.

This pub has always had a fine selection of fine ales and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Motherchips provide the perfect pub grub, which will encourage you to look at chips in a whole new light! At present patrons are not allowed to sit indoors as per covid restrictions. Most outdoor seating is covered but this is a popular place that doesn't accept table bookings so arrive early if you have any doubts about the weather and want to snag a covered seat.
