The Brentwood Hotel in Bridgend

The staff were great the food was excellent and the service was brilliant I enjoy staying there from Samantha and Ben and Leighton

Tables were sticky and filthy. Floor dirty and no sanitizer in dispenser on entry. I was refused entry for my service/medical alert dog even though she wore her service issue jacket. Was made to feel extremely unwelcome. Staff were unhelpful and condescending. Staff showed no regard for social distancing and allowed a number of patrons to be abusive and continue to use foul language toward other patrons. The place is disgusting, dirty and unwelcoming.

I popped in here back in January 2010 to ask how much a rome was for the night, I was shocked when they told me £50.00. The lobby had a dreary look to it and and was in need of new carpeting. The place was grubby and there were scruffy teensager playing pool who were eyeballing me, as though they were going to attack me. I can't put in the real date as it doesn't go back further than June 2019.

Like Elvis but the hotel is like staying in the 1960’s need a bloody good revamp the carpets walking in are like a fly trap from pound land . The door staff need somewhere else to smoke when on duty very unprofessional ( lady lump dark hair ) .Once we got in spent another 3 pounds each. What a hole just left at 11.15 pm could not stay the night room dirty,filthy bathroom appalling,noisy basically where are the hotel inspectors this hotel should be closed going to report it first thing Monday please stay away.

Wonderful breakfast. Very well presented. Plenty of food and staff were lovely. Restaurant is great with comfortable seats and lots of space between tables.

I booked a table for lunch at 2 kept waiting till 3.30 whilst they served people off the street asking for lunch When finally seated staff to the order for the only food left of Turkey When to my disgust a girl appeared stating there was no food left How disgusting the owner was there and didn’t even appaulagise to us We’ve been there many times the chef is brialiant and they don’t deserve him God help if anyone books Xmas lunch I wouldn’t take the risk of have my Xmas spoilt I’ll never go again Sue and mike

We visited the Brentwood as a couple. We don't get out very often as we are publicans in another Porthcawl pub but we probably notice more things being in the same trade. Anyway the band 3amp were a great choice not too loud or big. Lovely pint of coors. So the lines are nice and clean. The barman was on his phone all the time when serving though but we'll put that down to youthfulness! Second round I had southern comfort and lemonade served by the young girl on duty. Lemon in to which I wouldn't normally do but I must admit was lovely. This young girl is a great barmaid, very friendly and smily. She even said goodnight when she was cleaning up. It's always nice to be acknowledged! 😊 the beer garden out the back. Wow! Very clean and practical. Flowers were tended lovingingly! I loved those petunias (spotted one purple and one pink) in pots in the shelter. I know how hard it is to get a nice relaxing area and what work is put in and fair play you have excelled yourselves! Overall a great evening in somewhere we don't normally go! Thank you. 😊😊

we had an evening meal I had chicken tikka masala and my huband had steak and ale pit and chips. We thoroughly enjoyed the food here

I strongly insist these bad comment are people who have been paid to say them the Brentwood is a clean friendly hotel with great food and staff

Served by friendly staff and very speedy.All served very hot such a good choice of food with hot toast and selection of jams and marmalade.

This place isn't too bad. I've visited a couple of times and I've found the food and drink to be okay - a decent price, not a rip-off. The people running it seem okay too.

Excellent value for money hotel. Staff courteous and helpful. Spacious dining room, and more than ample breakfast. We had a superb Sunday lunch, many locals came in for lunch so it must be good. Entertainment a bit noisy on the weekend but ended at about 11-30. The lack of a lift could be a problem for the disabled. We will most certainly use the Brentwood again Mr/Mrs Hall Aug 2015

It's the only place I have had to pay before seeing the room...if we had we would have gone elsewhere. It's very noisy as advertised but our room was very substandard. The staff were brilliant and if you enjoy drinking into the night, partying and passing out you may enjoy it. The manager handled our complaint well...we were satisfied with the outcome and her apology. We would not stay there again.

Meal was ok unfortunately a group of young girls staying at the hotel were rather worse for wear and were running amok using bad language.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over a period of 5 years or so. The rooms vary greatly, but in general are good value and perfectly user-friendly.

Haven't been in this hotel for a while and was surprised at how good it looked for the refurb. Only called in for a drink with friends, big mistake!!!!! Very agressive people, very unwelcoming place can't begin to imagine how awful it must be to stay there.
