Absolutely lovely place to come for a meal with friends. Come here regularly and it’s great food, great location and great price.

Our favourite local restaurant. The best welcome, the best value, everything we’re after on a Sunday evening with a little one, but lovely for a date night or to take your the grandparents for a treat. We love The Boulevard because it makes us feel like part of a community in South Croydon.

Wow my first visit and was amazed, midweek and service was excellent the menu was varied and the food was tasty. Prices were comparable without her restaurants I had visited. The restaurant was clean and had a great atmosphere will definitely be back.

There's good food, happy service and a lovely atmosphere at any time of the day. Visited for evening meal whilst visiting the area. Quite a few locals in which is always a good sign. Welcoming, cozy environment, and decent menu and specials board. Food was very good and the prices were also very good. 3 main meals, bread and bottle of wine for less than £60. Great experiance.

Nice environment but the food take a lot to be desired. King prawn doesn’t mean king prawn. We had the roasts, the meat was nice and the gravy relevantly thick enough, but the veg was frozen and the Yorkshire was store bought Personally I won’t be back, sorry, just nit my kind of food place, and I couldn’t wait to leave

Awful dish awful service very salty and staff didn’t attempt to rectify the situation in any way just informed us they would let the chef know…no atmosphere or customer service present. Do no recommend.

This was recommended as a pleasant and good value place to eat. The initial reception and greeting was abrupt and stressed, as diners we eat out once a month and are discerning about things like the service and food quality we receive. The Duck pâté was more of a vegetableTerrine no duck flavour, it was served with a Sweet Chilli sauce - rather an odd choice. The Chicken Milanaise portion came out of a packet coated in orangey yellow breadcrumbs and no vegetables in site but loads of chips. The pork medallions were over cooked but the mushroom sauce - there was a lot of it was palatable and creamy. Not sure if the Tiramisu was bought in clearly not homemade. The trout was the most tasty and liked by those who chose it.

I went to the Boulevard on Saturday to have lunch with my friend. Had a lovely meal the rib eye steak and pepper corn sauce is the best every. The staff were friendly as usual, and we were given a glass of lemon liquor as a drink from the manager we go there a lot and the food has always been lovely Keep up the good work I celebrated my 60th Birthday there 9 years ago and hopefully will celebrate my 70th next May.

I have eaten at this restaurant for many years, both with a friend for company or for a family celebration - this occasion was for a little Saturday afternoon treat. The food was as good as usual - value for money and tasty. The restaurant is open and bright, the autumn sun shone thro the windows. Had a nice bottle of wine, and, a limoncello courtesy of the manager, who didn't try to rush us while we chatted away. A pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

We met friends at The Boulevard following our year of lockdowns and can't praise the restaurant highly enough. We had a great evening! The menu is packed with choice but not overly confusing containing something for everyone. Delicious food, really reasonable prices, lovely wine, really lovely staff - it was the best evening out in a long time, all the more enjoyable because it reminded us what we had been missing. I really enjoyed my starter and main but service could have been a little bit faster. It was the first Saturday back for inside dining after lockdown 3 or 4 (I forget how many) and as it was my Birthday I normally would have had dessert too but it was getting late and hubby had to be up early!

At last we all got together. The food was lovely, value for money and service excellent. The only disappointment was that none of the staff were wearing masks which I am sure is compulsorily, especially as they were coming in between us with the food. This. Made us feel uncomfortable which was a shame as it was the first catch up we have had since being lockdowned.

First time visit this evening for a family dinner with our daughter. The food was excellent, great atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value for money, well worth visiting, highly recommended.

Visited 18/8 during eat out scheme. But this restaurant is excellent value anytime without discounts. Our great local which has been there many years and seen other restaurants come and go, so is an absolute goldmine. No frills tasty wholesome food. Great prices good service. Mr & Mrs Boulvard always give you a warm welcome and have time for chat with their customers. Restaurant doesn’t change much and that’s how we all like it. Well done all.

We had a fantastic meal last night and the food was great as always. Fontina our waitress was excellent, friendly and a member of staff to be proud of. This is a great restaurant with good food and warm atmosphere. Well worth a visit

Have walked by several times so decided to try as we both like French food. Customer service was not exactly enthusiastic. Menu very limited & uninspiring. Cutlery & tableware looked really cheap, wipe clean table cloth. Starters were bland - one pate & one deep fried brie. Mains - were served on cold plates, not good for hot food - chicken was tasteless & dry, dauphinoise potatoes were overcooked & bland, veg were like school dinners. Steak - sauce was cold, chips & salad really basic. Desserts - cheesecake tasteless, ice cream with it was ok though, créme bruleé was ok. This place needs a kick up the backside. A great bar next door so this place could be a goldmine with some more effort.

I live close to the restaurant and came for the first time today. The food was absolutely marvellous and affordable. Despite how busy they were, service was prompt and efficient. I will definitely come back again and recommend you come here too.

First time here with my other half for an early lunch. Great service and fantastic food and a reasonable cost, the Rib-Eye is highly recommended and it’s only £13. The outside area is lovely and it’s spacious inside.

After reading reviews, we decided to try thid place. The portions were huge (one meal was enough for two) and the prices are reasonable too. The staff are very polite and friendly. They check if there is anything you need every now and then. The toilets were clean too. The only thing that put me off slightly was the wait time (30 minutes plus) but there was nothing the stagf could do about it as the place was full. The service was quick too. If you are around the east wittering area, deffo try this place out.

After lockdown they are back suitably prepared for all the constraints. Received a warm welcome. The menu has been reduced from its previously large choice until they can judge the amount of trade. The owners are optimistic and looking forward to a return to normality.

Went here to celebrate a family event. I’d heard a lot about the place but never been. I couldn’t get over how friendly the staff were, and they were very helpful. The food is excellent value, and everything was good. One of the best value meals I’ve been to in a long time, will go back

Visited here on a Sunday aftenoon as a party of 7. We got sat at the back, seems that the noise travels to the back of the restaurant, really quite difficult to hear conversations on the table.Good range of dishes to choose from, nice starters we picked and shared at each others - chicken wings, gouda fritters, deep fried brie all of which were really nice.Mains were great pork escalope was great with a nice sauce.Service was good without being overly attentive. Enjoyable food but a little noisy!

We had our Christmas party at the end of November 2019. The Boulevard restaurant did a wonderful job at decorating the restaurant and table making it really Xmassy! There was more than 60 of us at this party and we all had a fabulous night. The food was great - especially considering there were so many of us. The staff were lovely and friendly too. Would have no hesitation in recommending the restaurant to anyone.

Good choice of food. 20 of us, all the food came out together. Very tasty. Good atmosphere. 10% on parties over 6, so forget any tip. London Pride available.

I went here with family and friends and had a lovely time. It was fully booked so really busy and although we had to wait a while for the first course, it was fine as the food was really yummy, I had warm Leek and chicken Branade (warm pate) to start, ribeye steak, salad and fries for main and finished with a selection of cheeses and crackers with a glass of port. Overall, the service was excellent and the staff really friendly . There was a DJ from about 11 o'clock who played a really good selection of music until 3 a.m. The owners were really lovely and we all really had a good time so will definitley be returning sometime soon.

I went for a Christmas night out with work colleagues. I have no complaints about the food which was delicious. There was a Michael Jackson tribute artist for entertainment and although he was reasonably good, the sound was just too loud for a relatively small space. There was no chance of talking to anyone and I went home with a headache. I’ve no idea why anyone thinks it has to be that loud. It spoiled the evening.

Myself and 50 others came for our work Christmas dinner on Friday 13th December.In the run up to the evening, the booking process for this large number was handled efficiently and the staff that I spoke to couldn’t have been more helpful. The actual evening was fantastic, the restaurant was decorated beautifully for Christmas and felt cosy and warm. We were all seated in groups of tables together and had the back of the restaurant to ourselves. The staff were so friendly and attentive and Daniela was wonderful - even working on her birthday! The food all came out at the same time, all hot and no mistakes. We had a number of people who were GF or fussy eaters and they were all satisfied with their food as well. The bar service was quick and efficient and nobody was waiting a long time to be served. I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff and Daniela because you made our evening so wonderful. The ability to cope with such a large number of people so seamlessly and efficiently was fantastic and everybody had a brilliant night. We will definitely be back again soon! Thank you :)

We had a throughly good night for a work Christmas night out. There was 22 of us and the food, service and atmosphere was very good! We would book again

Outstanding service, food and ABBA thrown in what more could you want. Even the weather could not ruin a perfect night. Hats off to Boulevard for going that extra mile for a brilliant evening. Def a must and so impressed with how they juggle starters, main and puds with everything coming out together and hot and enjoyable

We are regulars at the Boulevard throughout the year because the food, service and atmosphere are always fantastic. I have lost count how many times we have eaten there and never had a bad experience. We always look forward to the Christmas programme of singers. Elvis was our first for this year and he was excellent. We will certainly be adding him to our list for next year. The meal as always was delicious and the service impeccable. We are looking forward to Abbalicious in a couple of weeks.

First time in this place even though I have known about it for over a decade as it is local. I was there for a Xmas dinner, must say they did very well, We were not the only group booking there. The Xmas menu items tasted nice, no shortcuts and the staff were not too imposing. From my party not a single dish was returned or complained against. Would like to try the normal menu sometime.

I organised for sixty people to have a three course meal at The Boulevard on the 2nd December 2019. The quality of the food and service exceeded my expectations. All the staff were polite and courteous. Can thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

The best thing about this restaurant is the staff. Had a roast dinner and it was not the best, very poor and minimal effort in presentation, but reasonably priced. Maybe I’m a food snob!! Wouldn’t go back in a hurry and left there feeling hungry

I've been to this restaurant a few times and where the location ain't the most desirable the food and service more than make up for it. It's very very reasonably priced with a wide menu and great atmosphere. Great for couples or big groups/Family's.

I visited this restaurant late last month, February 2019. We arrived early afternoon and were the only 3 diners present when we arrived. The service was reasonably attentive as one would expect when there were no other customers there.

My duck terrine starter was really yummy and rainbow trout main superb. The sauces were out if this world. Such comfort food! Enjoyed the atmosphere too in this surprusingly large restaurant. The service was good.

Really love this restaurant. Very romantic and very reasonable prices. Staff and service wonderful. The only thing that lets it down are the desserts, cannot quite put my finger on it but they are sub standard taste cheap and and not at all nice. We have tried quite a few and they are all the same poor quality. have been coming here for years and they never get any better. Really feel they need to change their supplier as its the only thing that lets this restaurant down. It's such a shame. Hope this is constructive criticism and that they change the desserts soon so that it is an all round perfect place to eat.

Popped in tonight for an impromptu visit. Made welcome as usual. Tonight the lady boss was on duty. Husband and wife team been running this successful restaurant for many years. We been going for many years and restaurant never fails. See other reviews. Menus don't change and that suits the regulars. Always a nice relaxing vibe. Good food good service good prices. Everyone we have taken there likes it.

visited the Boulevard for a Abaa tribute & meal very busy with Aprox.150 people dining. Good menu staff were very good as always food well presented & served hot. Considering how busy the restaurant was service went without a hitch. Well done to the Boulevard team.

I have been coming here with friends and family for over 16 years - it has never disappointed. The food is always good quality and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is lively, but not too much. The owners always ensure that their staff are friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. Hope to be coming back for another 16 years!

we went with a group of ten ladies for the abba evening , the food and entertainment was excellent , it was one of the best nights we have had for a long time, would certainly go back again.

This was my first time at the Boulevard and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food which was reasonably priced for a set menu which offered up a reasonable number of choices.

Waited over 40min for a starter portion of mussels. They tasted great, but totally unacceptable to wait so long for food!!

Came here for a meal with my daughter and son. Unfortunately not very good service at all. Cutlery missing from table! Black marks at bottom of glass! Starters were good but mains were very dry indeed! Crumble dessert was tasteless and dry. Had to keep asking for service! Good prices but will not be going back!!

This is a restaurant that we visit often, and yet I have never written a review, don’t know why as it is fabulous.

Been coming to this restaurant for years don’t want to give negative reviews because owners are really nice people but the menu is so boring it has to change. Waitresses are quite pushy don’t put your knife and fork down they come over straight away to clear your plate and I had to say a few times I’m not finished

Visited Wednesday 22/8 for my birthday with family. Favourite of ours, it guarantees we come away happy. Generous kids portions. Steaks always perfectly cooked. Lovely starters. Never had a bad meal. My favorite restaurant in London. The food is very high quality, the staff are lovely and the price is extremely reasonable. I do a 90 minute round trip specifically to eat here. I would recommended Boulevard to anyone, whether just popping in for a snack or a drink, for dinner for two or for a birthday meal. Sunday roasts are good too. Can I give it 6 stars :-)

Food was great well presented. Staff are friendly. Took a little while for the food to come out but we were a table of 10. Overall worth a visit.

As a family we choose a favourite meal every month from a restaurant, my choice was The Boulevard.

We took a friend from Canada to have their eight quid steak special on a Monday night. The atmosphere and service were great.

Visited here with my children and parents. Pretty quiet but it was early evening. Very good range of starters and main courses with lots of specials. Starters were all generous, moules, terrine, white bait, calamari all lovely tasting. Mains were also impressive, pork medallions in a wild mushroom sauce with tasty veg. only downside is they have stopped doing carafes of wine, then didn't have our first choice of wine so a slight disappointment there but these things happen! Children enjoyed their food and had a generous amount of ice cream for their dessert.

The restaurant was very quiet, however this is simply a day logistic. The menu is good and the prices are very reasonable.

I have cooked lamb shank at the home bought from Aldi (£4.99 for two), it tasted just the same as in the restaurant, meal was cooked within 10 minutes, served with broccoli and potatoes, the potatoes were soggy and bits of the broccoli was splattered all around the plate (it splatters in the microwave when heated uncovered), hence the presentation was not what i would expect from a restaurant. The meal was also just slightly warm. Friendly service, nice atmosphere.

I went to the Boulevard on New Years Eve, you had to purchase tickets prior to the night and which included a 3 course meal and DJ. Our table was booked for 830pm and by time we got there the place was already buzzing. They do pack quite a lot of people in but it made for a great atmosphere if not a bit hot! Given it was NYE I was expecting a set meal with limited choices but they had what appeared to be their full menu and some specials, which I was pleasantly surprised by. The staff were really rushed off their feet but always kept a smile on their faces and nothing was too much to ask and they did a fantastic job. Yes there was a bit of a wait for the meal but really,I expected that on NYE. The food was excellent and for £40 per ticket an absolute bargain. The drinks were also a reasonable price and the whole atmosphere was great. I had one of the most enjoyable NYE in a long time so a big thank you Boulevard and a very happy New Year to the whole team.

Attended a birthday dinner. There was no rush on the table. Staff attentive. Drinks ordered and they waited whilst the rest of our party arrived. Lots of specials on the menu. Chose the deep fried brie with cranberry sauce to start. Really nice and quite a big portion. Then ordered the duck en croute. Really nice. The sauce was really tasty and the sweet potato chips were also nice. Really enjoyed it. Staff very friendly. Lovely evening.

I hadn't been to The Boulevarde for some years and I'm glad that I revisited.There was a great choice of starters,mains,sweets and drinks available. My wife had the Sirloin steak which was really tender.I started with the portobello stuffed mushrooms which were superb.My main was roasted butternut squash which was good.My dessert was Apple and blackcurrant crumble with cold custard - lovely.

So, this was a pleasant surprise. On recommendation of my elderly Mum, my wife, son and dear Mum herself had lunch at The Boulevard yesterday. Tucked away off the main drag in South Croydon, this super bistro proved to be an oasis of culinary satisfaction at great value for money, exceeding my initial expectations. A warm greeting from the manager and staff preceded a really excellent, lazy sunday lunch in a relaxed environment. I pitched for a fillet steak (and I am fussy) and it was cooked to perfection, accompanying salad superbly dressed, a lovely peppercorn sauce and real chips! My fam all went for the roast pork - sometimes a bit iffy buying a roast dinner in a restaurant but again The Boulevard got it spot on and it was great, very generous portion, lots of meat and a fine collection of traditional veg. Desert was just brill and I recommend the apple & blackberry crumble served with ice cream and custard! Not the kind of thing I should really be eating but it was absolutely yummy!. Throw in really first class, attentive, friendly service (staff very accommodating in making Mum comfortable) in a restaurant with homely mediterranean decor and you have a winning dining experience. Thoroughly recommended and definitely plan to return. Well done The Boulevard team !

Went to the Boulevard again last night and had another fantastic evening. The food was amazing (as usual). I don't know how they do it for the price. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Evening finished with a lovely - free - liqueur of your choice. Such a nice touch. Can't wait to visit again.

I love this place allways great atmosphere, lovely staff. Their food is fantastic with a reasonable price. I think over 17 years of going there i must have tried everyrhing just a few of my Favs , Lamb shanks, Salmon, Sea Bass,Liver ect ect. Starters Musscles, Prawns, Mushrooms ect ect. I am not a sweet person but my Mum loves all the puddings.

Came here with the family to celebrate my cousin's exam results.Very spacious inside but a little dark, there wasn't many people dining when we went maybe one other large table so can't complain about the service.I started off with the Mussels and Rib Eye Steak for mains. The Mussels were cooked nicely and there wasn't any sand in them but the steak was a little overcooked and a bit tough (I usually prefer it more on the bloody side.)The price was fantastic £11 odd pounds for Rib Eye Steak can't be bad maybe i'll request it a bit rarer on my next visit.

We were a party of eight going out for a birthday celebration dinner. When we got to the restaurant we were seated immediately. Our waitress, Ivana was extremely good at her job and ensured we had a very good evening. We didn't have to detail our second round of drinks as our other wiatress knew it from the first time. The food was very good and enjoyed by us all. I particularly want to mention Ivana as she took it upon herself to oder me a mushroom sauce to go with my meal as I didn't fancy roasted vegatables and didn't want the mozzarella on top of my chicken. She thought it would be very dry so she ordered the sauce for me. A very good evening was had by all.

We have visited this restaurant many times as our friend lives around the corner. The food and service have always been excellent and it is certainly value for money. I can foresee us visiting frequently in the future.

My second visit to The Boulevard for a girls night out. Great food and service, we had garlic shrimps and mussels starters so tasty and so much! I had Ribeye Steak which melted in my mouth and my friends had Lamb Shanks which they said were delicious.One criticism they do not serve cocktails which is a shame. Our meal was on a hot day and the air conditioning was not effective. However I will come back with friends as we had a lovely meal and the bill was low. I don't know why anyone would be disappointed eating here I will be back in the winter thanks Boulevard.Ps. Cocktails please then I will score a 5

I can understand why this restaurant is popular. It's cheap. So don't go for a "romantic meal for two" It is my nearest restaurant, and I would be happy if I never had to eat here again. The food is awful! Pate on wet french stick and salmon that had been totally cremated! When this restaurant opened, they served baked Brie with strawberry jam ffs! So I am glad they heeded my advice and now serve it with Cranberry sauce (greengage would be better) , but truely, only go here if you are out on the lash and on a Hen's night as that is what they cater for. But fair play, the man is making a living,you won't die from eating here. But you may want a KFC after, for a better experience!

The food is wonderful, full of flavour and fresh. the staff are courteous and helpful.The resturant itself is medium in size and can offer a cozy atomsphere.I go here on a regular basis. The food is top quality for a decent price.Everythin on the menu is great and the specials board alway has some choice delights

Third time of using this restaurant celebrated our friends birthday with approx. 30 people.The restaurant was full, all the staff were very friendly choose our food from a good menu before we took our places. we had a 3 course meal which was served hot & prompt. Well done to the staff, each time we have visited the Boulevard we have enjoyed our time there. yes of course we wiil be back.

My husband and I are staying in the delightful town ow South Croydon for the races at Epson. We just landed from the US this morning and after a tough experience through Passport control and getting our luggage, we were spoiled beyond belief at this fantastic restaurant. We had popped into several restaurants on our walk to town just to see what was available. It took exactly one second to decide not to leave Boulevard once we entered. Our incredibly lovely waitress - incredibly lovely - turned out to be the owner. Who would have known? Her advice on my dinner was PERFECT (sea bass with pesto) and my husband LOVED his chicken fillet, bacon and mozzarella. As we were leaving, our "waitress" called us back to the bar and feted us with a complimentary cordial. That is when we found out she has two grown children. Just such a perfect dining experience. I would HIGHLY recommend to any of my gourmet friends and family.

This is a great place to eat. Prices are very affordable, the food is delicious!! I would definitely recommend the garlic prawns and the lamb shank both out of this world.

I'm a first time customer, went in with my partner as we were having a stroll in South Croydon. Ordered a beer and a wine and sat by the window which reminded me of Europe very much, lovely looking restaurant, lots of character. The steak main was cooked to perfection and a lovely size, very very tasty. I would be in there again in a shot.

I've been in Boulevard with my mum and my boyfriend last week and it was a great experience to do it again. We were walking, looking for a restaurant, we've looked at the menu and we thought it could be nice. It was the best decision to make! Food was fantastic (we had a baked salmon, seabass and T-bone steak) and service was excellent. Plus it's not expensive at all! We will definitely come back! Thanks Ivana for your service!
