Disgusting Fish & Chips – Avoid! I had the misfortune of ordering fish and chips at The Bollo House, and it was one of the worst pub meals I’ve ever had. The fish smelled off—like it had been sitting around for days—and the texture was mushy, as if it had been refried or reheated from old stock. The batter was soggy, the chips were greasy and undercooked, and the whole meal tasted like it had been neglected in the kitchen. To make things worse, I actually felt sick afterwards, as if I’d been lightly poisoned. I’ve had cheap takeaway fish & chips before, but this was next-level bad. The fact that a pub would serve something so poor-quality (and potentially unsafe) is shocking. Save your money and your stomach—go somewhere else.

Popped into The Bollo House and had a great time. I went for the club sandwich and a Neck Oil IPA—both were excellent. The food was fresh and tasty, and the beer hit the spot. Service was super friendly and efficient, which made the whole experience even better. Really chilled vibe, great quality all around. I’ll definitely be back!

We live very locally, just 2 streets away. We used to come here all the time until something changed maybe 12-18 mths ago, not sure if it was a management change or not but the food/atmosphere/service all went a bit downhill when all of the previous team changed over…. Anyway - we decided that we’d give it another go and sadly I don’t think we’ll come back again. The service was terrible, it took 45 mins for our mains to arrive cold. We were watching the door to the kitchen and didn’t really see anyone being served the whole time. Which was from 6m until 6.45pm. So I’m not sure exactly what the kitchen was doing that time. And the cocktails were using some kind of store bought pre mix rather than fresh ingredients, so it was all just a bit average. Was kind of sad that it was empty on a Friday evening. On the plus side I would have thought it would mean the food would have come out quicker but sadly not the case. I know that 45 mins isnt that big of a deal but when you’ve got a hungry youngster waiting to be fed it makes it feel a lot longer, and then it arrives and half of its cold and inedible it’s just a bit frustrating.

Did not have food stopped by for a quick drink. Friendly staff, our dog loved the treats, lovely neighborhood pub corner location with emerald green tiles on ground floor exterior and classic brick and white framed windows second floor. Open and airy inside, large outdoor tables on the two corner sides of the pub. Short walk from the hustle and bustle of the Chiswick High Road. Planning to come back to test the food!

We reached The Bollo on the advice of friends who came there a few months ago. Upon arrival, the entrance reminded me too much of the entrance to Continental (John Wick). Super welcoming staff and when they heard that we were Italian they introduced us to Fabrizio, the Italian manager of the pub, who made us feel a bit at home. We went with the children and the staff was very kind in accommodating their needs, especially regarding food! I absolutely recommend the chicken skewers with sauce and sesame, SPECTACULAR!! Drank an excellent Spicy Margarita (…two). Highly recommended if you want to experience the excellent mix of English tradition and Italian hospitality.

Little hidden gem! If you looking for a relaxing place to enjoy a lunch or drink and you are escaping from crowdy and noisy pubs this is the place. We had lunch with friends, the food was tasty and we enjoyed chatting and enjoying the sunshine.Fabrizio the manager was very attentive and welcoming to our children.

We celebrated our son’s 1st Birthday! It was a huge success, the food, the atmosphere, the staff, the Manager. Everyone made it super special, I’m so glad to be living so close to this pub! By far one of the best if not the best ! Thanks again for the amazing hospitality Bollo Team!

Had my boy’s first birthday party there, we had an awesome time with our guests, everyone was complimenting the food and the ambiance. We have been a regular to Bollo House for a couple years now, a place you’ll never disappoint. Absolutely grateful for having such an amazing family friendly pub in the neighbourhood.

We had a Sunday Roast. The lamb was excellent, and so was the roast chicken. The kids enjoyed their food too, fish, chips and peas Not too crowded or noisy. A great time was had by all. A very warm welcome on arrival, great service throughout and a cheerful goodbye. Thank you very much.

Visited on 04/01/25 evening and had a soup, burget, and one beer. After the meal, I did not eat anything else. Unfortunately, around 3:30am, the next day, my stomach had a disagreement with the burger and had to throw it out. Luckily, the food poisoning was not that bad. However, it was enough for me to never go to eat there again. Sad, as I really liked that pub.

Fantastic experience on Christmas Eve! We cannot fault The Bollo! Amazing all round, the food incredible and the portions wow. Staff absolutely super friendly and very attentive. The Bollo House is everything you want in a neighborhood pub: great service by attentive & friendly staff, outstanding atmosphere, good selection of pints, and elevated pub food. Atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between warm and welcoming with just enough polish to remind you this isn't your average neighborhood pub. Staff is always very welcoming and genuinely invested in making sure you have a great time. Menu is dynamic with some pub staples. Favorites are fish and chips and the steak sandwich. A must visit in West London.

A large crowd of us came in on Christmas Day. My husband went to the bar and ordered a bottle of champagne for the girls. Charged £100. Pretty sure no other pub in the land charges that. Certainly no others in Chiswick do. It’s just taking the mick.

Strongly recommend you return the food quality back to where it was. Adult burger looked like a sub par kids meal. Fish was tiny. We will persevere as venue is nice & we have had good experiences over 25 years. If we have another meal like today.....we will be spending our £140 elsewhere in future. Puddings were pretty good to be completely fair.

Worst roast I’ve ever had which is a shame as it’s a lovely pub. The meat and sides were awful. I will never come back for food but would come back for drinks.

Lovely pub , close to Chiswick park station. Nice atmosphere and staff is really friendly. We had a lovely dinner with rabbit pie and we also ordered cauliflower soup and Camembert as starters. Everything delicious!! The red house wine is an excellent choice! Will return!

Cozy local pub close to Chiswick Park. We were keen to have a couple of drinks and listen to some life music (Fridays starts at 19:15), and we ended up having a few more than two 😅 We ordered a couple of appetisers: the Korean chicken skewers and the cheese twist with an artichoke and truffle dip, and they were soooo delicious, that now we are keen to go back and try more food from the menu.

La mayoría de los entrantes estaban bien, pero 2 sopas de coliflor y paté de caballa ahumada eran pobres. La sopa era más espesa que mi paté de caballa. Bastante insípido para ambos. Platos principales de lubina (6 de nosotros lo teníamos) y el pez monje y el curry de langostinos eran excelentes. Cuando pedimos el menú del desierto nos dijeron que la cocina estaba cerrada y no había desiertos disponibles. Nos sentamos a las 8 pm y estábamos buscando desiertos a las 9 y media. Que no te digan que la cocina estaba cerrando un sábado por la noche es vergonzoso y muy pobre. Cojas excusas. Necesita hacerlo mejor.

Lovely pub tucked into the quality neighbourhood of Acton. Great service, really tasty food and an amazing house red! The ambience was families, dogs, good vibes and very warm, well worth a visit if you're in the area!

Had a nice lunch here. Traditional lunch (except out of lamb). I had the burger which was nice with all the trimmings. Chips we crisp and hot. We also had the fish with was very nice and the chorizo was a nice twist of flavour. The only small thing was the humus and peta bread was marginal. Other thank that nice day out, good food and very friendly service.

A lovely pub, not far from Chiswick Park tube station. The Bollo House is a very pleasant place for a drink or two. It is open and spacious with a very comfortable feel.vthere is plenty of seating outside for when the sun is shining. Inside is draped all round with light coloured wood panelling. There is a simple but appertizing menu available. Great service and lovely affable staff. A good place for a beer.

We went on Sunday for Roast Dinner. All very good especially Plant Base Wellington and Roast Beef, chips are also very nice. The dessert that we found it is outstanding was Sticky Toffee Pudding, not too sweet, just nice. The service was good and very friendly.

I went to the Bollo for a Sunday dinner and I wasn’t disappointed. The food was fantastic. This coupled with a pleasant atmosphere and great service left me counting the days to my next visit. The staff from servers to management were spot on. I’ll be coming back for sure.

Fabulous anniversary meal. Delicious, creative dishes- we loved the thousand layer potato skewers and the mango, salmon and avocado tartare. Very friendly service in a beautiful environment. We sat outside in the sun and it was perfect.

Nice pub to sit outside on a Sunny day, in a quiet residential area. The only problem that prevents me visiting more is that there is no wheelchair accessible toilet, which is a shame because there's plenty of room for one, and step free access off the street.

Service was non existent but they still charge 12.5% , there were only 6 of us plus we had to go to the bar to order drinks. Food was mediocre, the meat was overcooked & tough, not enough veg & the cauliflower cheese was essentially plain cauliflower with a slice of processed cheese on top, was disgusting! Won’t be going back any time soon

As we entered the pub the bar attended acknowledged us and asked if we were in for drinks or food, we mentioned that we were there to meet a friend for dinner. As we said the name of the booking the attended guided us into the dinning area. The service was spot on. We all had roast and it was delicious (the horseradish was a bit fiery 😅) and a big serve, which I barely managed to finish. Make sure you leave some space for dessert(s). Definitely recommend!!

There are some real plus points to this pub: it's a beautiful building with a spacious interior. It offers many different beers, wines, soft drinks and spirits. The wines are labelled as vegetarian or not on the drinks menu. The staff were welcoming to our family with children and we discovered that children eat free from the children's menu on Saturday afternoons, so we'll definitely return next time we're in the area. One note, there was only one vegan and one vegetarian option on the main course menu when we visited; I had the beetroot and goats' cheese salad - don't bother if you're hungry! It's quite small.

Had my 50th doo here at the weekend. Love this pub. Love the staff. Fabrizio is a legend. The whole day was a great success and that is thanks to all the staff for making it so. Everyone that attended the party said the pub was awesome and they had such a great time. Great pub with top notch food. We have eaten here before but this time just had the party menu which was perfect for this event. You gotta get in there when you can. They also do live music on Fridays which is brilliant. Went here with some friends for for a catch up meal and drinks, the service from the staff was excellent! And the food was amazing, the sea bass dish I had had so much flavour. My friends also said how good the food was. Also I have to say what a beautiful restaurant area, I will define back!

This is a beautiful pub with gorgeous wood panels and a fabulous glass dome in the ceiling . We were a group of 7 having dinner and although there was absolutely nothing wrong with the food (delicious!) we all felt the menu was a little boring perhaps. The coffee machine was broken so no hot drinks but no big deal. At one point music was put on quite loudly and the speakers were right there at our table. I asked them to turn it down and they immediately did . We come to pubs to talk to our friends . Not shout 😀All in all this is a very lovely local pub and eatery and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back.

The atmosphere and service was great. Our waiter was really helpful and super nice! Unfortunately there was quite a few items missing from the menu which made it a bit difficult to get exactly what we wanted. We had an issue with one of the dishes that arrived but it was quickly resolved by the staff. Overall we had a good time. We will definitely come back for a drink but not really for food.
