The Bodega in Norwich

It was roughly 30 minutes before I got my order including the time for them to take my order(peak time however). Sandwich was decent, but not worth its price in my opinion

They granted a really sweet and kind, one-off favour for me today - for which I very much appreciate!! I ordered the "Coq Joke" sandwich today. Gorgeous, fresh bread; really delicious chicken that was cooked on point👌 ...probably one of the kindest and most delicious vendors of street food at Norwich Market. Thanks guys 💟☮️⚛️

Never knew a sandwich could be this good! The food's incredible and the staff are lovely and work very hard! There might be a bit of waiting time sometimes but it's more than worth it, they need it to do their magic!

Amazing sandwichs, fully loaded and well worth it

Ordered and played over £30 for two sandwiches and only one arrived and no way of contacting them to get the missing item here! Now I have to pay for an additional delivery from somewhere else 👍

Had high expectations from the other reviews, had the Coq Joke for £8.75. For the price the sandwich wasn't that filling, the piece of chicken quite very thin. Maybe one of the other sandwiches would have been better.

Had lunch here yesterday and it was nice, but sadly not as good as I was expecting, The bread appeared to be quite cheap white bread (not toasted) and just fell apart as you were eating which ended up being a big mess. I think with sturdier/nicer bread it would be better... otherwise you might need a fork to eat it!

I actually saw on justeat and the pictures looked so good had to go to the booth in the market so I could have it fresh. I’m so glad I did! Really friendly staff and great service and the food was delicious great portions and real hearty flavours! Highly recommend (would share pictures of the food but ate it to quickly)

These are the best sandwiches in Norwich!! They do New York style sandwiches for around £8-£10, you get exactly what you pay for! Their sandwiches are jam packed full of amazing quality ingredients and tender meats. Always blown away with the quality and every sandwich I try. I’ve been over 10 times now!

Wow where do i start! My husband reccomended this place to me im normally a chips on market type girl but i have been converted! This was amazing very very nice! I had the Christmas one and hubby had the southern fried chicken one. Would definitely return.

The order was missing a layer of crispy bread and the cheese was burnt :(

Went to try out their stall at redwell brewery today. It took about an hour to order (we were only about 4th in line) and then over 1 hour for the food to come. When it came, it was cold. I ordered a jerk sausage which was just a sausage slapped with two slices of white bread. Not exactly the kind of sandwich advertised on their socials. Their other options were just burgers which, again, is not like the sandwiches they advertise. Waste of money and waste of time

Our goto place on the market, fantastic food and very filling! Friendly staff and freshly made sandwiches, lots of choice with different fillings. I'm working my way through the menu, can't wait for the next visit 🙂

First time having a sandwich from Bodega, and it didn't disappoint. I'd heard and seen lots of great things about them, and the hype is real. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a top-tier sandwich in Norwich market

Just next level sandwiches. If I lived in Norwich i'd spend a scary amount of money here. Definitely on my must return and eat more spots. Staff are friendly and helpful as well which makes the experience just as good.

Appreciate what this place is doing but wasn't for me, sadly. Not sure why, maybe I can't handle this size of sandwich, maybe it was the veggie chicken which was a bit bland (wish it had been southern fried like the chicken version)... Big queues so I must be in the minority

If you want an epic sized, tasty as you dare sandwich, then look no further. This place absolutely rocks! Their breakfast menu has a bacon, egg and cheese muffin that knocks the McSpots off of anything else out there, then the lunchtime menu includes delicious treats like NY style pastrami on brown, or a fully pimped old school fish finger sandwich. There are plenty of veggie and vegan choices too. Make sure you're hungry...

Went on our lunch breaks for a treat, and could have never expected what I was truly in for. Every bite was just incredible, a truly innovative and life-changing experience. Staff were all really lovely, great atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend more (especially the hash browns).

When you think of Fish finger sandwich, what do you think of? Whichever pleasant thought comes to your head isn’t anything compared to the Codfather 2024. You want perfectly fried cod fingers? ✅. Refreshing lettuce? ✅ The best Tartare Sauce i think has ever graced God’s green earth? ✅. Went on my lunch break, made sure to order on the app ahead of time so i could pick up and go. I had ordered for 13:20 but arrive 10 minutes earlier, the absolute legends sorted me out ahead of time in 5 minutes. I’m not religious but I feel blessed by Jesus after that. Fumbs up (Ps - Treat yourself to the hash browns, you don’t think you need them till you eat them and then realise you should have gotten more. The lord touched me twice today)

One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Putting a piece of toast in-between is genius. 100/10 would try every single item they do. I love the design of the market stall and the way they take the menu signs away when they are out of ingredients to make them. Love this place.

Absolutely amazing. I tried the vegan Studio 54 and it was unreal. So wonderful to get a scrumptious sandwich for once. Especially as a vegan. Not a token falafel option in sight. Woohoo. Thank you, you've got a new fan and customer. I've just ordered again now. So happy to have a special place to eat at. You've worked so hard to make incredible concoctions. So lovely to see somewhere where you can taste the love and passion of delicious food. It's an experience.

best sandwich of my life. I literally never review stuff ever but I've been compelled by the gorgeousness of that sandwich.

My millionth visit and my first Spamwich and my god I love this place. All of their menu items are great, their pop up is great in the cottage and the lads serving are also friendly and treat you well. The Spamwich has Grilled Spam, American Cheddar, Monterey Jack, Streaky Smoked Bacon, Hash Brown, Green Pepper Salsa served on white bread 10/10 all round.

Amazing food! Best eaten in person at the stall but being able to get it delivered it on a Sunday morning when hangover is a game changer.

I would highly recommend it! Their sandwich recipes are amazing and have a lot of options. My husband and I eat there every week and have never been disappointed.

Amazing sandwiches! Always have a veggie and vegan option which is great. Service can be very slow when busy but that's almost to be expected. Go for the purely veggie options rather than the veganised versions of meat sandwiches - pump up the jam is a solid favourite.

WOW! We were so hungry and had a dog in tow, but we saw the que and smelled the food and my goodness I feel blessed to have found this place! The absolute lovely staff (so kind) and I've never had a sandwich like it, it was absolutely delicious, hot, fresh, depth of flavour, enough to feed a family.. it was absolutely delicious! Street food at the ultimate best, I could not give this a higher rating. Cannot fault the service, do not miss this place!

It's so rare to get a well made, thought out vegan sandwich but The Bodega GET IT! I love that you can veganise some of the meat options but they also do separate vegan sandwiches too. Highly recommended! Visited twice during our trip to Norwich it was that good.

I'd been wanting to try Bodega for ages and finally did so. I'd looked on socials and knew I wanted the sandwich with pastrami but once the order was placed (with a guy standing with a tablet, not at the window where the food it served!) I sat reading the others and there is not a single sandwich there that I don't want to try! Seems studio 54 was a regular order, and I desperately want to try the Nemo. Very impressed, well worth the money! And love the touch of being able to get wipes with your sandwich as some are very saucy! Great to see somewhere thriving.

The bodega was highly recommended to me and my parter. On us 1st trip there was a huge que and a long wait time so we gave it a miss, as they say good things comes to those who wait and today we decided to pop into the city and get in early and WOW 😃 the food was so good 10/10👍👍👍 i would highly recommend trying the food. Finally decided to give Bodega a go after popping past a few times and it being too busy. Worth the wait. I got myself the Nemo and my partner got the Parmageddon. Both incredible and filled up both us for the majority of the day (The Nemo was stacked). Incredible sandwiches. Second to none other in the city. That bread, so good!!!

8 quid for a takeaway sandwich is intimidating, but every sandwich I've had here has gone straight in the top 10. Also big enough to split with my partner for a lightish lunch Truly appreciate the inventive vegan specials, setting the bar high for options at a non-vegan place. Keep doing your thing!

Banging sandwich. First-timer so made the rookie error of not picking up enough napkins or a fork. This thing was LOADED and despite best efforts a lot ended up in the carton. 10/10 for taste and value. Will eat again!

Went here on the recommendation of a work colleague and did not disappoint! I tried the Nemo fish finger sandwich which was INCREDIBLE but as other reviews have warned the sandwiches are enormous but completely worth it!

A colleague recommended The Bodega but warned that the sandwiches were enormous. He wasn’t wrong! I had the Bring in the Katz, which he’d mentioned, and spent most of the time trying to ‘negotiate’ it rather than enjoy it. That said, it was a great sandwich and good value for money. I may just have to eat it with cutlery next time.

Definitely give this place a try for a proper doorstop sandwich! Lovely people and the service is quick. I had the vegan chicken Cesar and it was so so tasty. Reasonably priced as well for what you get.

I've been here a few times now and had a few different sandwiches, all of which were excellent. The Hot One would be my favourite; I'm not quite sure what the cheese adds, but it's stil a top quality sandwich nonetheless.

Delicious sandwich! We tried the hot one. A little pricey but comparable to the rest of the market. We had quite a long wait but not too bad. One issue I have though is that the ink that is printed onto the paper that is wrapped around the sandwich comes off on your hands. We both ended up with black fingers and didn't notice until I touched my face leaving a black mark.
