Absolutely terrible ‘service’ if you love queing up for 40 minutes just to get a bottle of water you’ll love it. Only 1 staff member very slowly serving customers. The rest stood about doing very little.

I’m a fan of supporting cafes in parks after a Saturday parkrun. This one is a short distance from the finish area. Large indoor seating area, plenty of tables, further seating outside which I presume gets busy in better weather. We only had coffees on this visit - good and strong in takeout cups. I was very tempted by a vegetarian bap I saw on the next table, it was huge and only £5 If ever there is an incentive to return to the parkrun, this was it. The cafe got very busy with runners & volunteers about 10am

Nice cafe, beautiful surroundings next to the boating lake at Alexandra Park, the best view of any cafe in Oldham town centre hands down. Seating outside at the front, overlooking the lake, is wonderful in summer. The breakfast butties (sausage bacon egg etc muffins) are very good, the large size is really big, enough for 2 people, or one person who is really starving. I didn't give 5 stars however, because there could be a wider range of low calorie fizzy drinks please. When I am hot and sweaty after a Parkrun (every Saturday at 9am, best Parkrun in the world, in our own beautiful park) I am hankering after an ice cold diet drink. You only have diet coke, and that awful diet oasis in a bottle that is tooth achingly sweet and tastes very artificial. Please stock the fridge with some nice alternatives. My absolute favourites would be diet fizzy vimto or Fanta zero.thank you. Also, the exterior woodwork could do with a repaint if you don't want the wood to rot very soon. Thank you.

I came to place upstairs called SPOONS for the kids teddy bear picnic. I am an adult and was with my two sisters 10 and 11. Decided to get some food downstairs, got a big box of chips which was very full and staff were nice. However when we went out, we decided we wanted more chips. My younger sisters went back in alone to buy them. They got the box and there were hardly any chips in the box, barely even 1/4 of the box. Anther lady received a FULL box at the same time. They brought it up to the staff who got really rude and said 'For god's sake just take the box' and 'You probably ate half the box'. They clearly just hire anyone and everyone with no manners or customer service experience, or those who actually care about retaining customers.

Café is lovely little difficult to navigate with prams. Fast service however for a cheese and ham panini which only comes with a bit of salad and a bottle of coke it cost me £8!!! Very expensive

Appalling attitude from a member of staff to a disabled person they’ve lost my custom after many years all tables where being used with other customers asked them to put a couple more tables out but she wouldn’t. I advise you to take your own food and drinks with you as it can get expensive

Wasn’t open despite me arriving within opening times. Despite being in a gigantic, beautiful park where dog lovers congregate, dogs are not allowed inside the cafe, therefore me and my family’s custom were lost. Waste of time.

It was a lovely Sunday and the park was quite busy. We managed to get a table no problem and the service was very quick. This is the first

Only popped in for a coffee in this historic old building which has quite a bit of information about the parks restoration on the wall. The menu is small but looks very well priced. Full English Breakfast including tea or coffee for £4.60. There was a sewing group at one table which was nice to see and the fishing pond beyond is lovely.

After a lovely walk through a lovely park we stopped for a coffee and ice cream for the kids. What a great idea to give people with learning difficulties a job. The staff are very helpful and friendly . Just be aware though it has been noticed that people are taking out of the ice cream freezer and not paying !

Operated by a charity to give young adults with learning difficultys work experience and training. We always call in here for a coffee when in the park. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the setting overlooking the lake couldn't be better. A limited menu but every thing is freshly cooked on the premises. They haved lunch special that changes every day. They also run woodwork classes and craft classes and sell the items they make from the cafe, greetings cards bird boxes and garden planters at reasonable prices. All profits from the cafe and craft sales are ploughed back into the charity. Got to be the most relaxing setting for a brew and a butty ☺

Been twice in a week and both times the food and service was excellent. Made fresh and is very tasty indeed. Plenty of seating with clean tables & comfy chairs. Warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Great prices and lots if specials to choose from. Highly recommend.

Fine food in many respects and at a decent price. However, seriously let down in not providing anything gluten-free. It's not difficult to at least provide a pre-packed gluten-free chocolate brownie for heaven's sake!

Very lovely and lively park. So nice to see it being used for the right reasons! Absolutely gorgeous cafe, with beautiful surroundings and great staff. Very polite young waitress served us, certainly helpful even when it was rather busy. Great food (was a little overpriced though). Will definitely visit again.

Después de visitar este café sobre una base regular y no sólo en el verano acabamos descubrimos que nuestra clientela no se queria. Creo que hemos visitado alrededor de 40 veces en los últimos doce meses, a veces dos veces a la semana. También he llevado a mis nietos.

Grace is a disGRACE. Won’t let us pay separately , will not also tell the selection of beverages on offer when the selected beverage we ordered was “not on” despite the tap still being displayed.

The food in the cafe is good quality and reasonably priced. Nice cake choice too. They need to re think how they serve customers, every time we visit it takes ages to be served as there is usually one person sorting the order/payment cakes and drinks which takes a while. At busy times you can be queuing for a while. The outdoor seating area needs some tlc, tables need a deep clean, the area just looks scruffy and uncared for. Staff need to remove customers plates outside as the birds ( magpies, pigeons) are soon on the tables when they leave. The place could be really good if the management sorted these minor issues out.

My advice don’t bother food is overpriced and service very poor. We won’t be going back. Waited from 6.15 and left at 07.40 only had poppadom and starter. Had to take main to go.

The King Bill is somewhere I have started going for a little break from the world most Wednesday nights we pop up for a few drinks to break up the working week. The company is great and it’s proper Pub with nice people. The Salt & pepper Chicken needs is own review and honestly it was “Well Fit”. It’s hard to sum up in works but it’s just a very good pub , run by lovely people, giving back to the community with great staff and food. Highly Recommended
