Reserved a table. On arrival told to sit down. Restaurant quarter full . Many people went through, after 20 minutes went back apparently been forgotten. Meals when they arrived were good but this took 40 minutes. Wine just dumped on table unopened. Whilst finishing meal tables being cleared for breakfast. What happened to customer experience ?

Visited the restaurant on our stay at The Big Blue Hotel. We ate here on two occasions in the evening and although we couldn’t fault the food the service did let it down Our first meal was at 8.30 and the restaurant wasn’t busy, we weren’t really greeted and it felt like they weren’t expecting us even though we had booked in as requested. There were plenty of staff on but we sat for a good ten minutes before we could order. We ordered our drinks at the same time as our meal. No check back after food was brought out with staff lingering around discussing things like when they can finish early and who could stay late. Should really keep this out of the ear reach of the customer. Just didn’t feel very professional. Send evening meal was with some friends who were also stay at the hotel. Booked in for 6 yet table only laid for 4 people. On both occasions it felt like as we were one of the last tables in that they wanted to rush you out as they were setting up for breakfast round us. Again no issue with the food just service was a let down.

Enjoyed a nice meal here. Relaxed environment and food quality good. They did forget us after sitting us down for 20 mins but one waiter thought the other had served us. After that service was very good.

We visited the restaurant 31st August for a date night, the moment we walked it, we felt welcome the staff were approachable and friendly. We sat down, within minutes they asked us about drinks etc, we weren't ready so they came back. We ordered a couple of drinks, they were a little longer than expected but with the current circumstances, I over looked that, my Mrs ordered the candy floss Cosmo and it definitely put a smile on her face! We were asked several times if we were ready to order food, persistant isn't s bad trait, they were all great staff. The food was outstanding! Duck was cooked to perfection and my Mrs fillet steak was juicy and cooked amazing. We had dessert which was also amazing, only thing I would change with the sticky toffee pudding is get rid of those burnt bits under the ice cream! That was a let down to a perfectly good dessert! Price was spot on and I didn't expect them to be involved in the eat out help out, so that was a nice bonus. Overall a great time out and thank you for hosting, no negatives worth a loss in rating. They also followed the government guidelines, we felt safe and was happy with the extra mile they took to give us a great night.

Lovely food, friendly and efficient staff. We booked a family meal and needed separate tables to socially distance, the restaurant provided a lovely area where we could distance but still communicate, we had a lovely time. I was very impressed with the hotel, there was automatic hand sanitiser everywhere and socially distancing was adhered to. I felt very safe.

We ate dinner on Monday night. It was eat out to help out, so 50% off, but I couldn't help but think the prices have been inflated.. I didn't get it, but Macaroni Cheese at £13.00 on the menu. Who pays £13 for Macaroni cheese. We have never had an issue with service in the restaurant previously. This year it was just bad and not what you would expect of a four star hotel. The main issues was a cocktail and the kids menu. I ordered a margarita and have drank many, favourites being in Florida. The margarita here tasted nothing like one. The kids meal, my son opted for the chicken nuggets, he ate half a one and said they were not nice. I tried a bite and they weren't. I wasn't going to say anything as he enjoyed everything else. Twice our waitress asked us if everything was ok with our meals. On both occasions I told her the margarita was not good and my son did ot like the taste of the chicken nuggets and that I agreed with him. She nodded her head and walked off each time??? The third time she asked I did not bother answering her. My nine year old son said, that waitress just asks you if everything is ok, but does not listen to you answer. Spot on, I'd expect some feedback re the issues raised, an offer to replace the food or drink etc. Also the guy who brought the mains out just put them down, my son tried to ask him for some ketchup but he just turned around and walked away. We had to find our waitress to get some. I had the braised beef with rosti which was great. Overall the service at the meal was poor, the staff that I encountered didn't seem to care and had no personality. We were due to eat lunch their today, but cancelled as a result of the service received.

At approx £35 per head with wine, drinks. some starters and desserts.... Reasonable! The service was slightly less than perfect ie; "I will just get your rolls to go with your starters"...... the rolls never made an appearance. Three steaks ordered, two medium rare..... mixed up on delivery. I would go again because the environment is classy and intimate. It is a cut above the usual Blackpool dining experience.

We were staying at The Big Blue Hotel for hubbys birthday and i booked a dinner bed & breakfast package, the restaurant is very well furnished modern bright and clean, we checked in and were taken to a lovely quiet corner the waiter whos name i didnt get was very chatty and helpful he explained the menus and left us to decide he returned to take our order i opted for prawn cocktail, belly pork with mash,bacon & cabbage for mains, hubby ordered nachos for starters with steak for mains, another waiter then came over with some bread the starters soon followed presentation was lovely and the food was delicious, plates emptied and removed the manager came over to check we were ok staff are very attentive despite being busy. Mains followed again food cooked to perfection & well presented we both cleared our plates,of course we wanted pudding i had the warm bakewell tart hubby had cheesecake both delicious. Food portions are good and great value. We had breakfast next morning again faultless food and service i have a food intiloerance and was catered for staff checked we were happy they are a credit to the hotel, we will book again and look forward to more delicious food

The children's menu and choice is fabulous. You can make your own Pizza and sundae and the childrens cocktail with candy floss in was just brilliant! Very innovative. Also can not fault the service very quick and friendly and efficient. My starter was delicious for main I had belly pork and while tasty it was a bit overcooked which was disappointing. Can't fault the portion sizes though! Wine was expensive but it was a lovely little treat.

We couldn't fault anything about our family meal at The Blues Bar and Brasserie last night. The food was exceptionally good. My starter (Crispy Duck Leg) was the most delicious first course I have probably ever eaten. The Sirloin steak, ordered medium-rare, was cooked to perfection, juicy, tender and mouthwateringly tasty. And the freshly made crispy onion rings! Omg to die for. For dessert I opted for the Blueberry and Hazelnut Creme Brulee, a sophisticated, grown-up pudding that finished the meal off perfectly. It was a quiet night in the restaurant, but the atmosphere was warm and relaxed. Every member of staff was brilliant, offering just the right balance of attentiveness without being intrusive. A big thanks to all of them. We were so glad we decided to eat here, it was just wonderful. We will definitely be back and as soon as possible!

Came to Blackpool to the big blue hotel, and booked into the brasserie. There aren't many like this in UK, never mind Blackpool! Absolutely sublime meal! The staff were fantastic, couldn't do enough for my family. The service was second to none. Meals were hot, fresh, and tasty. Ordered a bottle of champagne before we arrived. Kept at our table on ice. Can't rave about this place enough. The meals are of a spectacular standard. I had a sirloin steak, which was cooked exactly as I like it. I'm quite fussy, and this was probably one of the best meals ive eaten. No joke. The creme brulee is the best I've ever had. Almost got it twice! My partner said hers was divine. She isnt a big eater, but she cleared her plate! My kids meals were fresh and tasty too! Thank you guys, we will be back very soon, please keep your standards high, and please keep the chef!

We visited the restaurant for dinner , were greeted and seated by a very professional and amazing host/manager .. ordered mains as it was quite late , the sea bass and risotto as amazing and so was the salmon with shrimp brown butter .. very very good service from the waiter serving us as well as to the manager recommending us the creme brûlée.. it was the best ..!!

Fue tomada aquí como una sorpresa la última noche, ya que he querido comer aquí por un largo tiempo.La bienvenida fue cordial y profesional. El restaurante es muy cómodo y luminoso.La comida era precioso. Patés, bistec con patatas real. Prosecco es también muy razonable.Volveremos pronto y se lo recomendaría a cualquiera que busque una noche realmente encantadora.

Comimos aquí como parte de un paquete en el Big Blue Hotel. Recibimos un servicio fantástico, el camarero (lo siento no coger su nombre, pero tiene pelo puntiagudo) es un crédito para el restaurante. Menú muy clara y fácil de entender para alérgicos. La comida era muy buena y había una gran selección para elegir.

We had an evening meal here on the Friday and not only was the food great and they catered for my mam ,who is gluten free and my uncle who is a vegetarian ,which was brilliant.The staff were friendly,kind and couldn't do enough for you.It was great.We also had 2 breakfasts here the food was great and again the staff were fantastic.On the Sunday morning,it was my sons and sisters birthday and my mam had ordered a cake,the staff were brilliant,we had four lady staff members who came out with the cake singing Happy Birthday,it was awesome really made their birthdays.Thank you soo much.I am Soo glad we found out we could write a reveiw seperate from the hotel,as the restaraunt deserves brilliant reviews on their own

We went here for an evening meal,as well as having breakfasts for 2 mornings.The manageress here as well as all of the staff were kind,very helpful and freindly .The food was lovely and as I have gluten free bread,there had it in and brought it out with my pate which was great,as i love pate and in a lot of places they don't do gluten free.My brother is a vegetarian and they catered for him as well.Brilliant restaraunt

Reserved a table for six and from entering the restaurant to leaving we were highly delighted with everything. The restaurant is well laid out and the staff are attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The wine list, although not cheap, is excellent and the Hardy,s cabernet merlot was delightful. The food we had was superb from steaks to belly pork to sea bass plus fab starters and desserts. Definitely a place to return to especially as the super comfortable seats made it difficult to leave.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while walking back to our Hotel which had closed its dining room for the night.Had no trouble reserving a table, the staff at reception were very helpful.Restaurant staff very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.Great selection of food with both a set evening menu and an A La Carte menu. Being able to mix and match was great as well. Our food was excellent and well presented. Portion sizes were very generous.

Vermutlich ist das Restaurant ganz passabel, leider war man trotz Hotelübernachtung und Ankündigung völlig überfordert. Der Service eine absolute Katastrophe. Die Schichtleitung sah sich genötigt uns die Getränke umsonst anzubieten. Das Essen prinzipiell gut, aber völlig verkocht. Das Steak war durch und völlig trocken. Leider wurde man vom Service zu keiner Zeit gefragt, wie man sein Fleisch haben möchte. Insgesamt hätte die Bewertung schlimmer ausfallen müssen. Ich sehe aber hier Potential und möchte dem Betreiber eine 2. Chance geben.

Strange review title, because my meal was significantly better than my wife's. I have to stress that my wife's review would not be so generous!My pork belly starter was wonderful but my wife's scallop seemed to be from the "Iceland deluxe" range. My risotto main was very good but my wife's beef was poor quality and featured a slice from the end of the cut (normally discarded).Luckily my daughters create your own pizza was a great success and although the make your own ice cream was not quite as per the menu suggested, you can't really go wrong as long as it's cold.Overall, could be much better, but looking at my wife's dish could be worse too. The difference is a little care from the head chef. Full points in the child chef outfit though. Nice touch.

I dined at the Blues Bar and Brasserie during my recent stay in the Big Blue Hotel, of which it is part of.The staff are very attentive and welcoming. They can not do enough for you, and created a warm and pleasant atmosphere.There was an excellent choice of food with an A'la Carte menu, Set menu and a further Chefs Specials Menu.We ordered from the set menu, which offered 3 courses for £22.95.The food itself was delicious, I opted for a Pork Belly Salad to start which was just amazing and the Pork Medallions for Main Course were equally as tasty.The only minor critique I would have is that the set menu was the same for the duration of our stay....although this is Teall minor as we were there for only 3 days and were staying out of season.I would definitely recommend this as a place to eat.

Had booked a table via reception, seated in a quiet area overlooking the front of the hotel area. Pleasant environment, ambiance and relaxed atmosphere, No hassle yet prompt service by polite efficient courteous staff at all times. Nothing to much trouble, food excellent, well presented and came up to our expectations. I had the Ratatouille terrene, the tuna steak, and the apple pie, all delicious and tasty. Thank you to the chefs, and all floor staff for a great experience. Staff first class and a credit to the restaurant...

What a great cafe in Blackpool I’ve been coming here for many years now and alway s come when in town (sometime s twice in the same day) the staff are great especially carol (good for a laugh 😂) ,Paula and Nicola always pleasant and cheerful 😀 the food Is excellent and such good value where else can you get a toasted teacake and a large pot of tea for only £2.25 ?i live in lytham and you’d pay around £6 and it’s not as good as r & bs in Blackpool can’t fault it at all top class and a big thank you for all the years service
