The Blackrock Grill and Smokehouse in Fenland

Went there with my kids this evening and can honestly say the food was fantastic. It's my new favourite place to go for a bite to eat in March. Highly recommend this place. I had the rib eye steak and was perfection. Will definitely be going again .

I had a prawn hot rock it was amazing! The flavours of the butter are incredible! The homemade chips are out of this world. The staff are very polite and helpful!

Our second visit to the pub and food was excellent, and staff were great friendly and helpful. The service was spot on 10 out of 10 for me, and I will be back when next in the area.

We decided to go out for our anniversary and thought we'd give this place a go. Wow. The food was amazing I had the ribeye steak and my husband the fillet. It made it an experience to finish off the cooking of your steak, great fun. The service was good and the waitress helpful and polite. The food is all cooked fresh so there was a little wait. Worth the wait though. We will definitely be back, there's a whole menu to try. The only thing is it's a pub, restaurant and sports bar. There was music from behind the bar. 2 tvs on with music videos, no sound, but different to the music playing and football in the other bar. However the food will bring us back.

6 of us went here on a Saturday night the staff were very good and the food was excellent. Everything was so good we have booked to go back next month.

Our first time eating here. Staff very friendly, food was amazing. Be prepared for a feast, definitely don't skimp on the portion sizes. Well worth every penny and we will definitely be returning. We visited on a Sunday early evening and not too busy. Ring and reserve your table now, you won't be disappointed 👍

Food is unreal, staff are all so welcoming and friendly, the place itself is perfect there’s a tv pool and darts with a great atmosphere! We have eaten here a few times now, wouldn’t go anywhere else for a steak dinner. Very highly recommend 10/10

Had the pleasure of staying in March for a few weeks had dinner here on four occasions and it's 1 of the best places I've had a steak dinner and all the other food looks and smells incredible the stay are very friendly and inviting amd make you feel at home even a Jock like me from scotland! If I could take this restaurant home to scotland with me I would 10 out 10 from me guys keep up the good work and service and il most definitely come back to March again just to visit ! Thanks 😊

The starters were mediocre, our main dishes were ok, the atmosphere was not comfortable, we sat on a very small table near the back door and we were really cold there. Service was very slow. Even if the service and atmosphere had been better the price was too high for the quality of the food

Thought we’d try as kept seeing advertisements. Staff were extremely polite and helpful .unfortunately the food was average and not worth the money, hubby had fajitas and no spice to them at all, my ribs were average. May be worth trying the steaks so I wouldn’t say I wouldn’t return just our choice wasn’t what we expected. Two meals two drinks £64 not a cheap mid week meal .

Chips are atrocious! Homemade, floppy and not at all nice, like they had been cooked in oil at the wrong temperature. Friendly and attentive staff let down by a poor kitchen. Great idea, poor implementation.

Wow! The best steak I’ve had! And that’s a big statement. This was seasoned really well! You got to cook it yourself and my partner loved his ribs too. They managed to squeeze us in after turning up with not booking (as we were here for a weekend getaway) The cocktail was lovely too. Really nice staff who were very busy but stayed professional! Thank you so much! Highly recommended!

To start with the positives, the food was delicious and warm. The stated “restaurant” is within a sports bar with a general pub atmosphere. Not a place to go for a special occasion, the staff were rude with poor attitude. We visited for a birthday as we are staying locally and had not visited before, therefore I would expect a warm welcome and explanation of the menu and restaurant itself. We were unaware the steaks were on a hot plate and were to be cooked ourselves (this was not the problem) however we were not explained this prior and were left to our own devices. Service was slow, with staff stood on their phones, even holding their phone whilst serving at a table and also, one staff member wiped a dinner plate with their hand and handed it to a customer. It’s definitely a “smokehouse”, there was no ventilation to the restaurant and could hardly see due to the EXCESSIVE smoke in the room. We left smelling of smoked meat. Would not return.

Great service and steak, cook on hot stone how you want.

This is the first time i’ve ever cooked my own steak at a restaurant but i like it. Food was beautifully seasoned and delicious! You get quite a bit with the steak too. Choose your side and it comes with onion rings, coleslaw, tomatoes and garlic butter. The butter was amazing and is very strong so you don’t need to put a lot on. I personally hate coleslaw and tomatoes so i let my dad have that and he said it was very good. My dad had a chicken fajita and he enjoyed it very much! The wraps are a big size so you can fill it up with the food provided.

We have been here several times now and never had a bad meal. Service is fantastic. Will be back again soon I am sure

Amazing meal, my family and I couldn’t fault the food at all! Everything we ate was 10/10. We found out that the steaks are sourced from the local butchers and their homemade chips and peppercorn sauce were unreal! The hot plate was a really good concept, unique & quite fun to cook your own steak, as well keeping the rest of your food hot the whole time! The staff were lovely, very friendly & accommodating waitresses. Don’t let the fact that it’s in/ attached to a sports bar put you off - Would definitely recommend & come again!

My family and I came here for my birthday meal,absolutely loved it,can honestly say the steak was the best meal I’ve ever eaten,great atmosphere and the 2 girls serving were spot on,,very professional and lovely,would recommend to anyone to give it a go.

I have eaten at Black Rock on numerous occasions everything the food has been very tasty, well presented and well worth the money. I was so impressed with the gammon on the hot Rock not to mention the sides it came with. Tasted amazing. Again all the food I have eaten there was so good. The staff are friendly and attentive and I would highly recommend the restaurant. I will be back and bringing others too.

Worst birthday meal I've had. I thought I'd give the place a try as I used to love Shooters which supposedly moved over into this establishment. However it was very disappointing firstly, I was sad to be given a nesquik milkshake rather than a proper shooters style one. Then my boyfriend's plate also smashed to pieces when he cut into his burger to then have the waitress smirk at us rather than apologize for it happening when showed to her. And to top it all off a lady on the next table almost choked to death on her steak and threw up all over the floor. Safe to say it was an experience I won't forget, and not for the best reasons.

Great food, very friendly staff who are great with kids. The sports memorabilia on the walls is fascinating as well some great names and autographs up there. Can't wait to go back!

I have to say the food was delicious. My wife has the sirloin steak on the stone, beautifully presented, my son and I had the beef short ribs and my other son has the pork ribs. All really nice. The service was good, the waitress was very helpful. It was very slow though and although I liked the sports theming the decor was old and a bit tired. Will I go again?? Absolutely. The food was so tasty.

I was working in the local area and a few colleagues had recommended that I try here. They were absolutely correct. Food was 1st class, best burger I've had in a long time. Bar none. Really helpful and friendly staff, good chat and prompt service. When I'm back down in the area you best believe I'll be eating here again. Loved every bite.

Working down in the local area. A few lads from work recommended here for a great meal. They were not wrong. Nice friendly welcome. I ordered the Mac n cheese bites and the Smoke house burger. Best burger I've had in a long time. Waited a little bit (15-20mins) for it but for me that's not a problem when you know it's getting cooked fresh. Cooked perfectly. So good I'd happily wait longer. Really good place. It deserves to be recognised. 5 our of 5 from me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We went here for a birthday meal out and had a top quality meal! I had a rib eye steak which was gorgeous! The raging hot black rock allows you to cook it just to your liking. The bill was very reasonable for all the food and alcohol we consumed! We will definitely be back here again. Well done and keep up the good work!

Food absolutely amazing, had a shock when I realised you cook your own meat yourself on a blackrock to your own likening. Fantastic experience and would do it again. But next time I will order tap water because 1glass of white wine was £6.20 and 2small bottles of none alcoholic beer was well over £7.00 plus, I only went for the meal and ended up paying stupid prices. I had a steak which is not on the recommendation list.

From our phone call to book to the end of the evening we had excellent service, Claire couldn’t do enough for us, ensuring that I could eat there with my nut\peanut allergy. My husband had the ribs which were top grade ribs, falling off the bone with plenty of meat. I had the salmon with curly fries and enjoyed every mouthful. I even had a dessert, and that is rare with nut allergies. My husband had the mountain ice cream and couldn’t eat it all, it was huge. The staff were wonderful and even sang happy birthday to my husband. I would recommend this gem of a place to everyone.

Excellent lunch today. I had the ribs, my daughter the burger, and the wife the mushroom fajita. All were very good. Service was friendly. Portion size was big.

First time of going since change, food much better than before wife had rid eye steak which you cook to your liking on hot stone. Steak was great quality and service brilliant such a change from food when it was three lions. Can’t wait to go back
