Me and my partner went to the Black Boy for the first time last weekend and I think we have found our new favourite local pub. An excellent choice of drinks, cobs and bar snacks The drinks are quite inexpensive for today's standards also The staff are very friendly and made us feel welcome, the pub has a lot of character and a very homely feel.

Lovely old pub selling a good selection of beers including Enville, HPA, Butty Bach and the local Bewdley Breweries Worcester Way. When it's sunny you can sit outside in the large beer garden.

Lovely evening on Saturday sampling the new menu. We were a table of 4, 2 of us had the beef burgers, 1 had the charcuterie board and 1 the cajun chicken. Portions were generous and the food was great, all plates were cleared and just left enough room to share a couple of the desserts...sticky toffee pudding and a sundae. More than happy to recommend.

Proper traditional and cosy pub, the beer is excellent, in a beautiful old building, dog friendly, very nice and homely atmosphere, exactly the right thing after a walk with the dogs on a cold winters day. Also a lovely beer garden for the summer months. They are serving food again at the weekend and it's absolutely delicious. Small menu, freshly cooked. There are snacks and main dishes as well. The nachos loaded with homemade dips are so good.

Quite a steep walk up the hill to the oldest pub in Bewdley makes the locally brewed Worcestershire Way Bitter even more refreshing to drink. Three different choices of freshly made cobs well worth having. Perfect afternoon chatting away to the regulars makes it difficult to leave such a friendly atmosphere. Well worth seeking out but check opening times before the ascent of Wyre Hill!

This delightful pub sits within a row of 200-year-old cottages five minutes walk up a steep hill out of Bewdley town. Indeed it's the town's oldest pub. We were staying nearby for only a week. The moment I stepped inside the pub there was an instant welcome. It's like stepping into a cosy front room although it has two bars. There was a warmth and friendliness which is so very rare these days. There's no TV or artificial entertainment. It's just a good traditional community pub - and what's more there's a refreshing range of drinks with beer from local brewers. That beer is well-kept and served perfectly and entices you to drink another pint.

This is a lovely pub. It is under new management and already a great place to have a cosy drink. It will only get even better as the new owners settle in. Its very quaint and cosy. There are excellent local beers and the Gin menu is worth a look too. Whats more, its one of the least expensive places in town for a drink. The only downside is having to walk up the steep hill from town to get there. Don't worry; take your time and enjoy this beautiful part of Bewdley as you toil up the hill. The walk up means you really have deserved your first pint..and the walk home is all downhill. A great pub ... enjoy!
