Everything is so delicious! The giant large fish & chips, the hot from oven pizza. Service is also so good and the staffs are friendly. The boss even offered us his own home made chilli sauce which is one of the best chilli sauce I have tried in UK.

A very clean, professional and helpful impression. The staff were impressive with their well presented 'uniforms' The size of fish and chip portions was again a very positive quality for this venue. One of the better providers of F and Cs in the locality in my opinion.

Been twice, both times the chips have been undercooked, basically raw where the potato is solid. Unfortunately won't give another chance.

Worst chips i have ever had from a chippy, undercooked to a point of being basically raw/still hard potato. Savaloy sausage had bad flavour and the texture wasn't quite right although at least wasn't unbeatable, won't be ordering from here again.

I tried the mix kebab it was too yummy . Especially I will recommend the mild chilly sauce.

Tried the Margherita pizza and the chips and both were to die for. Will surely go back soon and do recommend others to give this place a shot!

I have been twice in the past few weeks and the chips were undercooked - still as pale as raw potatoes! Not enough time in the fryer to get any colour or flavour at all! Hopefully they'll soon learn what chip shop chips should look and taste like as this used to be a great chippy.

I rung up for a collection order , the order was wrong when we got it home even though I rung twice to confirm the order The fish was awful, more batter than fish We were really disappointed

Chips taste stale and sausages are mush, massive red flag when you have to ask the customer if they want to try the chips first, tasted fine at first but quickly realised they were off, just serve them fresh

Never in my life have I meet a pair of people who really not interested in doing any work or getting an order sorted .... The young male take my order so I sat down watching but still after a long time my order wasn't even put in fryer no others was waiting or in shop.he was just standing around doing nothing.... how many people it take to fry fish 🐟 not 3 I'm sure ... as I got my money back and left never to use this place again thank you

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Absolutely gross food, the chips were made from rotten potatoes and were covered in black pitted rotten bits, once we picked out the rotten ones there were hardly any left. Obviously cooked numerous times. We had fish and chips..two pies for £24 and it was literally the worst meal I’ve ever payed for. Rip off! Totally discussing

Dreadful. Batter soggy, fish tasteless and chips underdone. We live very close by and tried this fish bar a few years ago. It was so bad we didn't return until my son decided to try it again today. Unfortunately, they haven't learned anything! It is still awful, so that's it, a curtain well and truly closed.

Haven’t eaten here so I’m sure it’s lovely but the leaflet is awful, the images of the kebab is sickening and they’re open on Saturday and Friday at 11:30pm to 10pm so you have to go back in time?

Every so often I visit the big fish to buy mini fish and chips. 2 meals of small fish, chips and a sauce of either mushy peas or curry sauce. Currently priced at £6.50 each. The service is friendly and reasonably quick especially if you go when it's early evening like I do. The food is good and the portions of chips reasonable I don't want too many or too little so it's enough. Once you've placed your order there are 2 comfy sofas to sit on while you wait for your order to be dealt with.

Wanna say this honestly. Best pizzas at affordable prices...absolutely delicious.. I am in love the base and the sauce🤤 Thanks a lot

honestly quite disappointed. went here last night after seeing all the positive reviews, my partner came home after picking up our food and realised they forgot his fish. honest mistake to make, he went back and they replaced it. by the time he got home i had also realised that the pineapple fritters weren’t pineapple and were instead potato. we didn’t want to go back a second time and they went in the bin. chips dry too. overall, won’t be going back unfortunately.

Awful! Waited over an hour for food on a Thursday. Food was cold when it turned up. Missing a pizza. Rang up and they said the driver had it. Then said oh, he’s given it someone else!!!! Then waited another 40 mins for the missing pizza to arrive. Hardly any apology or refund. Awful service and food. Will not be ordering again ..

I am actually not happy to write this at all but I need to I had a mega box meal a Mexican pizza the burger buns where rock hard the kebab meat was hard not happy at all was so looking forward to it as usually nice but now I question after spending over £30 if I will go there again

Ordered my food.All went through ok said 55/60 minutes which was ok. hour later got a phone call to say they didn’t have mushy peas or donner meat which we ordered. Was not happy as to why they took the order in the first place if they didn’t have the stock. Not happy gone to bed without food had me and my partner work 16 hours a day thank big fish

Normally great food but today was very dry kebab meat and no salad nor sauce for the kebab.

Absolutely rude. 'We are sorry it is very busy darling.' Yes but we payed our hard money, that we struggled to get and the good portion of our order didn't come. Being busy isn't an excuse for not including food we payed for.

Soggy fish and chips, awful tasting fish, for £8.30. Absolutely ridiculous.

Never eaten here but their delivery driver is dangerous. Twice now I have nearly been hit by the delivery driver coming around the corner. He races up to the corner and onto the pavement without looking. Seems to be looking at his phone when he's driving. Parks less than 10m from the busy junction. Rear light and bumper held on by masking tape - you know who you are - how do you have a legit licence!!

Had the kebab deal and I found this to be absolutely terrible the meat was one of the worst meats I have had. The chips were greasy. The best bit was the salad. Wouldn't recommend.

I can't recommend this place enough the young ladies that serve us always go above and beyond for my autistic child (food separation) The serving staff are always so pleasant clean and smiles on their faces even when you can clearly see they are rushed off their feet. The only issue we did have once was what I assume was a manager shouting on his phone in his native language in the shop, this really unsettled our daughter spd (sensory processing disorder) but the lady with long red hair noticed this instantly and distracted our daughter why the younger server got our order together as quickly as she could and even put a big smiley face on the wrapping of our daughters Food. Food is always hot and well presented not just thrown together like most places. The care and attention is 10/10 by the staff.

Recently visited The BIG Fish Beeston twice, now its under new management and twice we've been very happy with our fish & chips, prefer it to the cod scallops where i recently had a disappointing meal. So The BIG Fish it is from now on. Also a big thank you to the girl that serves she's always pleasant and wears a smile. 😋 Revisited this chippy a few times now and while the chips are nice the fish is hit and miss and the new staff never smile and serve you while listening to music through ear pods, quite rude I thought.

Certainly not the worst chippie that I've visited but not the best either. Staff seems friendly enough but service is quite slow. Prices are reasonable and portion sizes are average. Quality isn't too bad although I've had much better chips from other places.

Had at a friends today ordered a meat box and I have to say the chips and kebab meat are the worst I have ever had kebab meat was a grey and looked undercooked and the chips were not cooked properly absolutely a waste of money

Absolutely fantastic fish and doner kebab, nice and hot for me every time. Wouldn’t hesitate to come, best in Beeston. Extra bit being they served doner and salad in separate box, which won’t make the wrap soaky on the way back.

Went here for the first time in years today as normally use Gills which was shut. Was really impressed, beautiful freshly cooked haddock and chips were good too. Will definitely use again.

Awful awful awful. I made my order, and as soon as it was due to arrive they cancelled it. They made me wait 45 minutes, clearly without giving any thought to the fact that I might have been ordering from them as I was HUNGRY. Would not recommend if it was the only fish and chips shop in the whole country.

Went for take away food, 2 chip cobs asked for salt and vinegar on, plenty on it, I live just round the corner 1 min away, get home and no salt and vinegar and stone cold, waste of money, been their 2 times same outcome.

Perfect! Best chippy in Beeston! Edit: a lot of people complaining about delivery time - the fact that they are busy goes to show how popular they are. If you come to collect, the staff are courteous and prompt. All the other ‘chippies’ nearby are just chancers who give you frozen french fries and other frozen nonsense and charge you a premium for the poorest quality food.

Had a delivery from here last week the kebab was swimming in fat in the tray the salad was just in a box no tomato or cucumber just red cabbage also had small chips missing and a can of pop could not even eat then kebab as it was very fatty to won't be using here again its gone right down hill the past few months

The fish arrived with no chips or sauce, tasted extremely greasy and like old oil. It also had the skin on which, who wants floppy fish skin? 🤮 The kebab arrived looking awful too, no salad, no sauce, no chips just dry meat in a squished naan. We also got nuggets and fries, all greasy with the same old oil. Gutted because the photos on here looked amazing.
