Nothing negative. Very welcoming hosts/ owners. Great food. Great prices. Good beer, and selection of whisky and other spirits. Good music, which was not too loud.

Another excellent meal and an enjoyable evening, good selection of drinks and a spoilt for choice menu. My go to place for food and drink when in Jedburgh.

My wife and I stopped here for the first time on our regular journey from Northumberland to Edinburgh. This is a real pub with a friendly welcome and outstanding pub food. My wife had the lamb tahine and I had the classic burger, the best pub food we have had in ages. It was a nice touch being able to order sides other than fries with the burger but of course they were available too. Hopefully we will be back.

Went here for my Dad’s 70th 🎁 birthday. Had a fantastic night. Had the mac burger which was lovely and plentiful!! It’s a lovely little pub and we had a few drinks and games of pool afterwards. 10/10.

If you dream of a proper old fashioned unique pub then look no further! This pub has character and isn’t like your chain offering. If you walk in the bar and everyone turns round and looks at you, don’t worry, they’re not being unfriendly, just nosey as who is coming in. Is it someone they know? You are most welcome to come in and enjoy great beer (so my husband tells me), amazing food and all at really good prices. Gordon and Lorraine are great hosts, providing the essentials a good old fashioned pub should. If you go for dinner make sure you have a good appetite or a doggie bag. I’ve never once managed a pudding. I’ll maybe have to go in just for pudding one day. Another wee gem in Jedburgh.

Absolute gem of a bar, proper old-school pub, owners couldn't be any friendlier with a great selection of beers and spirits, nothing is too much trouble, the food is absolutely fantastic especially the burgers, had 2 in 3 nights and my partner is Vegetarian and had the curry and was excellent. The scottie burger was absolutely amazing and the Thai burger with prawns was sublime. Can't wait until we're back next year for another visit, going to Jedburgh? Get yourself there, you won't regret it, friendly lovely proper pub, great prices great food great beer and great staff 🤗

I visited Jedburgh this weekend gone, many things here seem to have changed in recent times and not for the better if you are a visitor, many pubs and restaurants are either closed or are part time (very part time) Luckily Belters bar was not only open for business, it was just as inviting as it was during my last visit. The owners are very friendly, as are the customers. I had a very enjoyable weekend here. There is a very good selection of beers here, the jewel in the crown is the restaurant, excellent food at very reasonable prices. Without any shadow of doubt this is by far my favourite place for food and drink in Jedburgh. Please note, you are best advised to book a table if you wish to dine here, they fill up very fast.

Was in The Belters a lot over the weekend for food and drinks. Food was amazing as always, Great selection of beers and IPA's and a really good atmosphere.

Had a meal out with my partner had the macaroni cheese which was beautiful, the cheese sauce is excellent and very tasty. My partner had the fish and chips which was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommend both. The portion sizes are very generous and the atmosphere and service are always excellent. 10/10.

We went here for dinner and drinks with our 1 year old. It was a week night and very quiet at the time we went in (around 4pm). The owners were friendly and accommodating, they were happy to get us a high chair for our little girl. We were really impressed with the range of burgers and sides they had available on their menu. The portions were very generous and we really enjoyed everything. I would definitely recommend the curry chips as a side. The only suggestion is that the bathrooms could definitely do with a bit of modernisation. Other than that, it is worth a visit if you are looking for good food in a relaxed atmosphere.

Visited after local recommendations and it didn’t disappoint. Extensive menu with many burgers to choose from plus other pub favourites. Went with a friend and both had burgers one meat one vegetarian. Best burger I’ve had in ages, good portion sizes, service was very good, staff friendly and chatty. Tables for food close and this made it good for conversation with those near us. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Wir sind hier auf Empfehlung des Betreibers des örtlichen Campingplatzes gelandet. Wie angekündigt, ist das Äußere des Lokals sehr unscheinbar. Drinnen erwartet einen dann ein typisches Pub. Die Bar wird seit langen Jahren von einem Ehepaar betrieben. Er macht die Bar und sie die Küche. Wir wurden überaus freundlich begrüßt und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen (wir hatten Fish and Chips) war überaus lecker und reichlich. Ich kann den Verriss weiter unten nicht verstehen. Das Essen war gut, mehr als ausreichend und preiswert. Schön war, dass man es kaum vermeiden kann, mit anderen Gästen ins Gespräch zu kommen. Wir haben ein sehr nettes Paar aus Adelaide in Australien kennengelernt. Ein toller Abend und wenn wir in der Gegend sind, werden wir sicher wiederkommen.

Great welcoming wee pub and restaurant.We were lucky enough to meet the owners Gordon and Lorraine who were sooo nice and made us feel right at home. Give your tastebuds a treat and eat in the restaurant it is delicious and the portion size leaves you full but if you can manage it try the desserts too you will not be disappointed. Best to book in advance as this is a popular place to eat👍😋

Don't be put off by the tired looking exterior or dated interior. The food (served upstairs) is excellent with large portions. Highly recommend the burgers or Scottish Trash. Fantastic value for money and you will need to book in advance to guarantee a table. Looking at some of the negative comments on here, you need to put these in context. This is a bar/restaurant staffed almost entirely by the two owners (husband & wife). Gordon handles the drinks and Lorraine takes the food orders and does all the cooking. As a result, they seem to only have one table booking slot every 15 minutes - this allows them to cater for each table and manage their time accordingly. People arriving late knocks out their well-oiled system and causes them anxiety. If you take the time to speak with them, especially after the food service is complete, you will find they are a lovely, hard working couple with a great, dry sense of humour. We would definitely return.

Excellent service and amazing banter from the barman a lovely wee place for food and drinks (book ahead of you want food) always made to feel welcome and you can tell it’s a bar that care about its customers.

I asked my landlord where to eat and he suggested Belters as being a good option, advising me to phone and book a table in advance. Travelling solo I was happy that they were willing to reserve a table for one. I thoroughly enjoyed a really good quality burger (wagyu beef) with lots of toppings. Totally filled me up (defeated me, despite a very healthy appetite). Staff were great, very friendly and hospitable.

To be honest we nearly didn’t go inside here as the outside made us think it wouldn’t be up to much but it’s actually a bit of a belter! Very friendly, welcoming staff and a tasty meal. There’s an impressive range of burgers available . We both had veggie burgers and they were excellent. Just goes to show you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. PS. Booking is advisable -we saw loads of folks being turned away.

The venue is very busy and the food shows you why- the staff are very good with plenty of smiles and the food is superb. Guys you must try the wagu burger-these really are brilliant -but you must book the venue to stop you being turned away as this venue is really that popular- The food is really well presented and is great value for money and that is put simply. We love good food, we eat out a lot, we were not let down by Belter Bar, the food was excellent. We both really enjoyed our meals. We will certainly be back next time we’re in the area. Highly recommended.

Had my first Belters roast on Sunday and it did not disappoint. Delicious roast beef served in the biggest Yorkshire pudding I’ve ever seen! Cauliflower and broccoli cheese was delicious, the roasties we’re good too. Great value at £15 including a drink. I’ll be back!
