Ate here now several times over a number of months. Had several different meals from the menu , all of a good standard. Decent sized portions, whilst being good value for money. Would highly recommend the daily roast dinner. Also the steak and ale pie , beautiful light puff pastry top and bottom , lots of lean steak in between, delicious 😋. Attentive staff throughout the dinning experience.

Went here for boxing day meal. There was a christmas menu and a normal menu. I had a lamb shank which was very nice. My partner had a sirlion steak which she thought was nice. The home made chips were massive but nice. The bar was rammed with people. This was a nice place to come and Id come back.

Lovely pub with a good atmosphere. Pity about the landlady who is unbelievably abrupt, rude and shouldn’t be anywhere near the hospitality industry. Needs to think about how she speaks to customers.

Great countryside pub. Lovely village location. Excellent pint of holdens bitter. As at Dec '24 try the turkey christmas cob £9.50, with cranberry sauce, roast potatoes, gravy, stuffing, pigs in blankets. Enough to be shared between two I suggest, which makes fantastic value. The pulled pork cob at £8 with apple sauce and extras is similarly recommended.

Was only there for an amateur music night, didn't eat, but the place was lovely, the menu looked good and the beer was excellent. Shame they weren't stocking Guinness 0-0 though.

We really enjoyed our Sunday dinner here. We were a large party and the waitresses that served us were friendly and helpful. There was a good selection on the kids menu and our roasts were great. There was plenty of meat and veg and the waitress brought over extra Yorkshire puddings and potatoes without us even asking. Can't fault the food and service and will definitely return.

I had the chicken tikka masala I've had better curries from morrisons The budget range.. the service was fast and the staff friendly and helpful but the food for price doesn't come into the same league as The Wheel at Worfield which is not too far from it.

It has become ridiculously hard to find a good Sunday dinner or even a well-made, fairly priced pub meal in recent years... so thank goodness for The Bell in Trysull. A delicious Sunday roast with 3 meats and fresh veg for under £15, with the added bonus of FREE extra roasties and Yorkshires on request, great beer at £4/pint.. and great service. Highly recommended 👌

What a find have used the bell over the years but we recently have eaten there food was very well presented and cooked to perfection the service was excellent and everything has been perfect we definitely will be using here for food. The prices were very reasonable compared to other pubs most enjoyable time.

I have not been in the Bell for over 30 years....Even though the Bell was really busy with a large party, staff were more than accommodating, we were told there may be a wait for food but we weren't in a rush so it didn't really matter. Our drinks order came and we ordered our food...... Within 15 minutes our starter arrived 😁 which we both enjoyed.... Staff were running around serving everyone so we thought maybe a bit of a wait for our mains......... The main meal was server about 10 minutes after we had finished our starters. A very pleasant evening , great staff and superb service, food was great too Definitely be going again in the not too distant future. 👍🏻

We had a Sunday menu, our lunch was so tasty and filling. Food cooked perfectly. Good selection of courses and although 2 large parties to be catered for we didn't have to wait long and the staff worked so well as a team. It was our wedding anniversary and you all made it great for us.

A very popular village pub, extensively extended with large dining area. Food is typical pub fare but we'll prepared and generous portions. The fixed menu offers great value. The local beers are good and well priced. Nice people too.

Fabulous 2 course meal, very tasty very hot and the hospitality and service was very good, also very good value for your money. Can't wait to go back 😁

Beautiful pub and restaurant in a great quiet location. Lots of parking for cars and bicycles. Disabled toilet facilities, clean and spacious restaurant area. Newly upholstered seating, clean and brightly decorated with good space around each table. A notice said they were looking to fill various staff vacancies however we were seated quickly, applied drinks within minutes and orders taken. Starters came as we finished our drinks. Chicken tikka bites were good sized chunks and well cooked. Garlic mushrooms were fresh and not battered but in a nice sauce. Just as I finished my last bite or waitress arrived and asked if it was ok to take it plates. She then reappeared with our mains on huge, warm plates. The hunters chicken was perfectly cooked with a good thick slice of bacon, plentiful salad and triple cooked chips with a lovely sweet BBQ sauce. The 10oz gammon half covered the plate and cake with the same lovely chips, well cooked egg, pineapple and peas. The waitress stopped to check on us and brought us another set of drinks while we ate our mains. Couldn't resist a dessert... Despite not managing to finish my main! Salted caramel brownie sundae was sooo worth it! Nice to have the caramel ice cream instead of vanilla. Whole bill came to less than £70 including the 4 drinks! (3 of the them doubles). Lots of people obviously taking relatives there for a nice quiet meal. Such a friendly atmosphere. We were serviced quickly and politely and didn't feel rushed at any point either. Nice place, good beers, well cooked meals and good prices. Would recommend to it anyone. Gem of a place.

Great food.....very clean......would Def use again....was here with family for an 80th birthday ........ I'm veggie but not too much choice unfortunately for me but everyone else's food was great

This came recommended to us. There was plenty of parking . The bell Inn was well kept and nice and clean . Service was really good from zoe ,Charlotte, Ella, food was well priced and plenty on you plate. And really tasty and well presented. Definitely will be back ..

On arrival we were not sure of where the restaurant was, and one of the other customers gave us appropriate directions and help. We did not have a prior booking/reservation but we were allocated table immediately. There is plenty of car parking, and the popularity of the place showed by how many vehicles were already parked up. We found a spot to park. There were a number other parties in excess of 4-5 diners, one of which was a birthday group. The atmosphere was very quiet and relaxed; a youngster was engrossed in play with a paper aeroplane but not noisy or troublesome. A perusal of the menu and my choice was the trio of meats, with new potatoes, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and seasonal veg. My girlfriend went for the turkey option. When the meal arrived it was hot, with a generous amount. Halfway into the meal, a server came round enquiring whether we would like another Yorkie and roast potatoes. I did have an extra potato, Yorkie, and gravy. For drinks we had 2x Cappuccinos each. Had the trio of meats not been an option I would have gone for the lamb. All in all, a very reasonable dining experience and at £40-00 for the two of us it was not an overly expensive treat.

We came across this gem of a pub when we couldn't get a table at the Fox. The staff are accommodating and friendly. The menu is excellent and so is the food.

Proper black country pub. Good to visit during a walk of the local area or for a decent pub lunch in the bar or restaurant. Dogs only allowed in the small lounge though.

A friendly place to sit and have a drink. The bar is dog friendly. Meals are delicious, recommend you book as it gets very busy, but the cobs are value for money.

Stopped on the way home from Bridgnorth..lovely open fire..had a nice pint of bitter and one of the best cheese and onion cobs I have ever had..my partner had mulled wine which was nice aswell.

I had Sunday lunch here with three friends. The service was friendly and efficient. Most of the food was fine and the portions were generous. However, I wouldn’t choose the ‘slow cooked leg of lamb’ again as it was very tough and consequently hard to eat. Also the cauliflower in the ‘cauliflower & broccoli cheese’ side dish was hard, not cooked enough. . Apart from that, we enjoyed the visit.

Had a lovely meal with friends. It was my first visit here and I must say the food and the service was excellent! The chef (Wendy) came and spoke to us and said they had an Environmental Health Officer visit today and were awarded a 5 star food hygiene rating. Well done to you and Harley for all your hard work! The Bar staff and waiting staff were very helpful too. They assisted a customer who was looking for his holiday cottage and was completely lost on a dark evening. Well done, excellent customer service! Rare these days. Will definitely look forward to our next visit. Thanks

Popped in here after a walk round the Trysull area. Lovely pub and friendly staff, sat in the restaurant which is a lovely big room. Not a busy day so foid service was good. 2 had the lasagne which was tasty with garlic bread and salad, 2 had hunters chicken and another the liver. All were well cooked. Would definitely go again.

We went as a family for Sunday Lunch. As per request seated on carpeted area thou not the flat walk into but one with big step down to. We had 96 yr old, 91 yr old with walking difficulties but we did manage it slowly. We had a lovely round table so easy for all to see each other. Roasts came out and Child portion huge and served our senior 2 as requested re small appretites. Yes extra roasties,Yorkshires and Gravy brough around few minutes later to see if we wanted! A lovely feature. Some veg soggy and tepid reason for 4 stars not 5. Puddings a big hit.

Took our son out for the day and stopped by here for dinner. We order 3 lots of Lasagne and a couple portions of chips. The food was a lovely size, very tasty lasagne and crispy chunky chips. Service was very pleasant from both the gentleman that took our drinks order to the lady that delivered our meals. Would definitely visit again and would recommend to others

Very disappointed on visit this evening to celebrate my Sons birthday ...I think different people have now taken over this place because ,I have visited regularly in the past and tonight the quality of food I had was very poor ...on informing waitress of my dissatisfaction when she asked on collecting plates ..she just replied oh sorry...didnt seem in the least bit bothered ...No waiters coming to ask if everything ok ...or if any further drinks were required ...waited ages for what should be pure hospitality of service ..disgusting when prices have gone up but service and quality poor..Will not be visiting again ...! Very poor ....

I have been a regular diner here over many years, and this was the first "post-covid" visit. New management, new menu and most importantly excellent food and service, the best I have ever experienced here. Generous portions, and great quality food and wine. I will definitely be returning again, and would highly recommend to anyone.

Popped here for a sup after a local walk. Really good beer, Best pint of Glow I've had actually. Had a nice Turkey bap but might come back for something more substantial as the food looked great. Friendly staff and the locals were lovely, of course they were...Black County, centre of the universe.

Nice pub, good food, service was a bit slow but I think they were busier than expected.

Well...... this was a disappointment. The first time I've been to The Bell Inn for quite sometime, mainly due to not being in the area or not having an occasion to go. It's not how I remember it. I used to visit once every 2/3 months at one point. The menu was a bitter disappointment. There used to be T-Bone steaks. Ribeye steaks. Fillet steaks. Plus many many more options in terms of mains. The chips used to be amazing here. Home cooked and were large and thick and plenty of them! If you paid the extra quid or so. But even the standard chips were better than what I had on Saturday 1st April 2023. Rubbish bog standard frozen chips that not even Wetherspoons would serve. The sirloin steak was woefully under par. Quarter of the said sirloin was gristle.....which is fine if that's your thing. The choices of steak sauces was abysmal when there used to be plenty and a variety. The desserts were also underwhelming. You used to get a small black board with around 5 choices on each side. All desserts felt fresh and homemade. The cheesecakes used to be the thing that really set their desserts apart for me. But alas another let down. The ice creams to go with the desserts felt cheap and were very icy also! The Bell Inn used to be the place I'd take friends or family as I viewed it as cracking food (and plenty of it) with cracking beer. Unfortunately somethings happened to this establishment. It seems I maybe not the only one to have this view as I remember when at 5 o'clock you struggled to get on either car park as it was always full! When I walked in..... it was unbelievably quiet. Even when I left which was after 8 it was quiet!! You used to have to book a table for any chance of food at one point. Where as i could've literally walked in and sat anywhere, on a Saturday night! For what was once a fantastic place to eat and drink it appears to be a shadow of it's former self. It could've been an off day in terms of punters. But I kind of doubt it.

A year ago when we visited for a meal, we were disappointed, but this lovely establishment is now being run by someone else, and they've improved it immensely so we were glad to return (Apr 2023) and enjoyed excellent service and lovely food.
