Food is actually really good for the little price you pay. Service was quite slow but it was quite busy to be fair

I made plans to meet a friend at this venue at 1 PM. Arriving 30 minutes early, I took the opportunity to order a classic pub dish: Cod and Chips with Peas, complemented by a refreshing orange juice, all for a reasonable £9.03. Despite the pub's popularity and bustling atmosphere, I found a table to enjoy my lunch comfortably. The meal arrived promptly and was cooked just to my liking. The pub had a great staff-to-customer ratio, ensuring attentive service. Plus, I was able to park my car at the Castle Quarter Car Park, which was just a stone's throw away.

Nice wetherspoons, always has some good cask ales! Great outdoor seating with a view of Norwich Castle!

No food , popped in for a quickie (stella) , which I thought was a bit dear for a spoons , over 5 quid a pint .

This was a grand pub for drinking, with wooden banisters and linings around glass making for a pretty design! Counter is well kept and staff were friendly, lighting has a good number of different lamps too. I had a Corona Extra, sitting comfortable at one of the smaller seats here!

Out shopping in the city, popped in for a quick beer & burger. Usual expected Spoons standard for everything. Basic but good enough. Tables always need a wipe, but we always bring our own wet-wipes, so no drama there. Few rowdy teenagers causing a bit of a nuisance, but we were all young once and they were eventually quietened down by a staff member. As always a good place for a pit-stop pint and grub!!

Quite a dark spoons. Service was a little slow for the time of day/lack of customers, but staff were friendly.

Changed menu so carn't eat here anymore.. wheat on chips now, couldn't get steak or chips before 12, no coke'a'cola either have been here a few times. Always really busy and noisy.

The Bell has the feel of an old-fashioned pub with lots of different areas. It was very busy; however, the app service was quick, and the real ale was great value.

Visited on Saturday just gone,arrived at 11.35, 2 breakfast meals, stone cold. Did manage to finish them & when the waitress collected our plates she asked, was everything OK to which my wife replied, no, it was cold to which she then replied, well, let's hope it's warmer next time! NOT going to be a next time.

A great place to eat when you are shopping in Norwich. It does get very busy but the food never takes very long to come out and is always hot.

Have eaten here before. Personally think the Glasshouse is better. Don't recommend the curries. Was ill last time afterwards.

Really one of my favourites. Great to see such an important old building renewed with purpose and value. Particularly good and unfussy service even by our own special standards.

We came for breakfast and got a table straight away. Ordered through the app and food came fast. They do the free refills of coffee on the machines, which are ok, but they could taste a bit better.

I have had many a good meal in this restaurant. The staff are always polite and the waiting time on food wasn't too long.

Avoid busy times or be prepared to wait when it is busy and The Bell is a fine place to meet and eat Use it regular and usually when quiet, then the service is fast and pleasant with people on hand to help When it is busy you may or most likely will wait longer for food, but you are informed before you order Overall The Bell is what it is, and a good place to meet up, whether going out or catching up when out shopping, with plenty of choice of meals at a good value price which usually includes a drink

Waitress spilt a whole drink over. Never apologise, I had to ask her to replace my drink. I had to ask for a cloth to swipe the table, she never came back with one. Had to go to the bar to get one myself. She was rude and so disinterested in people and providing a good service.

Disappointing really as usually the bell serves good breakfasts. We went there this morning ordered breakfast then halfway through my child discovered the bacon was raw and uncooked possibly case of food poisoning, we talked to one member of staff who wasn't interested in resolving the complaint and passed us on to the manager called Harry I believe that's what his name was his response was ill tell the kitchen no apology nothing..!! Im oretty sure hr just threw it in the bin and then Just a blank expression on his face clearly lacks any understanding and any customer service skills..!

Food was ok, mushroom benedict. Young lady serving not particularly friendly or welcoming. I felt I was an inconvenience ordering at the bar, although there were very few customers at 8.30 in the morning 🌄

Popped in with my son for a few pints on a Friday evening, and really enjoyed the atmosphere in the pub, it took me back to my youth in the 90s when pubs were full and had a great vibe. Beer was good, locals friendly and location very central. I would definitely visit again.

Insanely amazing festive food with quick service AND they didn’t ID!! Only problem is once I needed the toilet I couldn’t make my way through the maze. I’ve got cramps from holding in my dump but worth it for a cheeky carlsberg!

On the night of the Christmas lights switch on (14th November 2024) in Norwich...it wouldve also been my deceased brother's 45th birthday. So my sister, myself and my niece and Great-Niece (who is 3hrs old) decided to celebrate his birthday in the bell pub. So bare in mind, I'm also a security officer and know what procedures are within a pub setting. However, we were all rudely treated by the one particular security member in the door. I didn't appreciate it. Fast forward where I was really quite annoyed! We were told that children need to leave the premises by 9pm which we already knew. I was at that point 7:30pm. Come 8:00pm we were reminded. 8:30pm...we were again reminded about the time. We left at 9pm on the dot. Got out of the pub and waited to be picked up. We were there until approx 9:30pm and we could see other people still in the pub with their children. Please someone tell me why they were allowed in there with their children and we were CONSTANTLY reminded to leave?

Really like this spoons, love how big it is, when coming in for the first time, it feels like you're walking through a maze! Food and drinks are great, and they're affordable.

It is very busy over lunchtime, so sometimes you have to wait for a spare table. You don't have to wait long for service. It was hot and enjoyable

Wetherspoons is a anti dog pup they don't even alow you to have dog in car or at outside tables just to have a drink all Wetherspoons are anti dog they are out dated in there policies aspelshely in Norwich or Norfolk in general I understand in the restaurant but most pups and cafes even Greg's alow dog in I would have thort that in these time were pups are haveing hard times they would relax it for sitting outside with a pint most people are happy to see a dog in my experience I take my dog every where and he is a big dog I fined people love it I'm always haveing to stop getting on my way to a tables for people to say hello to him and pet him get with the times Wetherspoons

Visited again yesterday, had steak and jacket potato. Usually, I have a very good piece of what I believe to be sirloin steak. Yesterday, several parts of the outer meat were quite grisly and chewy. It was very busy yesterday, I do find tables are left quite often still with reminece of food places and glasses left on the table when sitting down too. On my last couple of visits here. The reason I do go back is it is reasonable priced decent food, and drink. I will go back again.

Food mediocre and lukewarm. Chicken brought out to a vegetarian and drink order taken over 15 minutes! When drinks arrived, wrong gin!

Refused to give me a small glass of water. In fairness to them it was early hours but door was open, i walked i and went to bar but refused basic small glass of water, they said they weren't aloud to serve, pretty sire thats just for alcoholic drinks not glass if water if access to pub was open., but out right refused me and am a regular customer

Service is fast and the place itself is iconic but the food wasn't great in quality and definitely lacking in portions. We ordered something with chips and literally got 7 chips in the whole dish.

Absolutely great as every Wetherspoon I have visited. Food was great, service was quick (regardless of how busy the place was) and atmosphere was lovely. A really nice experience, I would definitely recommend.

Dropped off here didn't know it was here lol, had a soft drink and a beer with cheesy chips, atmosphere of the place was nice, the chips were ok but seemed to have been hanging around till served to us, but being hungry we ate them.

Great menu selection, and the vegetarian brunch was fantastic. Real beer, and well below normal prices. Can it get any better?!
