Been dropping by this pub for many years now when I’m in the city and what a gem it is. The lady who runs it is an absolute star. Her name is K Great service on the bar but not afraid to get her hands dirty collecting glasses. Great choice of lagers and beets. Harvey’s bitter and Timothy Taylor landlord are 2 crackers. One of the oldest pubs in the city. Great on a summer afternoon. Highly recommended- great atmosphere

Was served by Daragh and the service was of the highest standard. I really like the Bell as the atmosphere is amazing. A great selection of food and drinks served by a friendly and knowledgeable team. I really enjoy drinking the premium keg products and they also have a great selection of spirits also. I really recommend visiting this pub if you have time. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Professional, polite and extremely helpful Staff. Experts in pub food and drinks. Cosy place in the heart of London City, a stone's throw from Sky Garden, yet on the side of the main road so not so noisy as in other places around the area. Reasonable prices, great selection of wines, beers and other beverages. Clean and high standard toilets. Worth stopping by to rest and relax after a strenuous day. Highly recommended!

Dropped in for dinner. Quaint historical pub. Service at the bar was average. Two young girls more interested in their own conversation. Beer was good, but you really can’t go too wrong with beer. They only do pies. The meal, whilst presented nicely was not hot and we’ve had better pies whilst in London. Maybe a better place to have a beer rather than a meal.

In an age of ubiquitous chromed chain establishments, The Bell retains its indivuality and charm. It hasn’t changed and that’s how and why most of its customers flock back. Been coming here longer than I care to remember and it’s still a great pub. It harks back to decent beer and pub food and a place to chat with friends and strangers. New landlord Daragh ‘gets’ pubs and is clearly looking to keep standards high whilst retaining all that is good.

Down a side street next to Cannon St station, I often see drinkers outside this pub. Having ventured in for a quick pint I now know why outside is better. The bar is like someone's living room, devoid of furniture except for a table in one corner and the bar by the wall. It's an old pub by all accounts but lacks character unfortunately.

Henry’s closed about a month ago as the tenants, Stonegate pub co, decided to let it go due to a rent hike by the owners. I’ve submitted this to Google but they haven’t amended this to closed yet - so I’m writing this review to try save people from getting there expecting it to be open as I witnessed recently. There is a planning application on the front door for its next usage - see photo.
