The Beach Snack Bar in Fife

have been many times, normally have the all day breakfast which is good but today had the "fish and chips", had to complain as the fish should have been thrown back. sorry but very poor value for the cost! Not offered a discount by the way Not going back

I mean, pretty much the title of the review says it all. The place is OK, but not great. It's kinda dark and gloomy, but that's because of all the dark furniture and the dark brown polystyrene ceiling tiles on the low false ceiling. But, there's great views from the window seats across to the Lothians. It's not cheap but it's similar to other cafes in the area. Cakes are not bad. Menu looks quite good. What lets it down is the sullen staff. They just take the gloomy atmosphere of the place and multiply it exponentially.

The food from this place was really good...a lot of places the burgers are tasteless and greasy....not here, the chips were nice and dry...burgers were sooo good, and as for the coffee...we loved it. The location is good too...there is parking and your at the seafront. 10 out of 10 for us...well done!!

Food was average and overpriced, took a long time for two panini's considering there were 3 staff members behind the counter. The owner was rude and acted as if customers were an inconvenience to her.

Had a Lovely walk along Leven Beach with Nephew and decided We needed a Snack and a Rest so stopped here as there were a few Tables and Chairs outside. I had BBQ Chicken Roll with Lettuce and Tomato and a Coffee and My Nephew had Tuna/Cheese Toastie with Salad and an Irn Bru - Total Cost £7.90 which was very good Value. Food was Delicious and the Staff were Friendly. Would Definately stop here again.

Good home cooked food to order, home baking, friendly staff only minutes from the town centre and beaches.

On the sea front at Leven this little snack bar turned out a very nice wrap and panini followed by some home made cake. Just the thing after a blustery but sunny stroll. 😊 NB they won’t automatically add salad to your wrap / panini so ask. They’re very obliging about making it to your liking, no prepackaged items here.

This was the only place we could find on the waterfront and the 'amusement arcade' on the ground floor was not the best entrance for the cafe, but upstairs was better than expected. The decor is a bit tired and the brown ceiling tiles need a coat of brighter paint but the food selection was good and varied. The soup was tasty and my husband's ham and pickle panini can be highly recommended. This is better than the reviews suggest....give it a try!

This is one of only a few (only?) cafes on the waterfront. We were looking for a coffee and relax but couldnt stop here. There is no indoor seating and the very limited outdoor seating was all taken. This is despite the area being generally quite quiet

Visited here a couple of times recently and it really is value for money. The portions are good sized and is always tasty. The staff are friendly too. It could do with being updated and needs money spent on it however it is priced accordingly.

Firstly, it's in a good position with a fabulous view, and some outside tables to enjoy it. Secondly,with a bit more support from its management (as, also, from those who are on Leven's Council) this once busy town (and a popular holiday destination, in earlier times) would benefit all. When the Pits closed, its formerly warm-hearted community was severely damaged because, everywhere are the signs of a sad decline. The 100th Monkey effect could do wonders, if all the shops and cafes upped their game. But, give the Beach Snack bar a chance; support it, make your comments, and who knows what might happen?

I've been In many times, location and views are perfect but have never bothered reviewing as it's a cafe and you get what you expect but thought worth commenting as they really could do so much better with just a little effort from the staff. It was very busy today but the staff walk pass and ignore you when standing waiting to order and every table was overflowing with dirty plates and needed a good wipe down after previous customers. I had a baked potato and my partner curry and rice, the baked potato was tiny and salad beside this was non existent. The curry was good according to my partner. It's not a surprise that on a Sunday lunch time when the weather is fine it will be busy so putting on sufficient staff who are experienced would make all the difference and maybe try have a look at the menu to ensure that when you charge a fair price the food quality and portion size reflects

Food is pretty average. Not bad not great but on a summer's day its worth it to look over the ocean. Child friendly too, with a little play area for kids and obviously the "shows" downstairs. One irritant is that they never seem to know what should be included in the dishes. It'll be advertised with certain sides etc but they don't always give you whats advertised. They will correct it but this happens a lot. Still I'm a regular and pop in once a month, more during the summer months
