Amazing place really enjoyed it the rooms are spot on would defintely stay again and staff are kind and friendly. Was a very nice place overall.

No food. Cosy, clean and pleasant. Good location for York. Great value for money. Noisy as expected (no earplugs), bath is in the main room. External stairs may be an issue for some.

Good quality ales £2.35 Friendly service always something going on Had 3 night's room only stay very clean throughout a real credit to the cleaner..good value accommodation...Will be back..no food available but plenty of cafe/restaurants on doorstep..Mr Cs next door great fish & chips

We didn’t have food but stayed in the hotel. Staff were lovely and helpful, lots of cheap parking immediately outside the property, hotel room was nice and comfortable. My rating is lower because there was a fairly musty smell in our room (room 5) that was noticeable whenever we entered, after opening the windows for a while it was fine and not noticeable until we reentered later. The room itself was perfectly clean however smell slightly off putting. Overall a really good value for money stay.

I stayed here for 2nights as was working away and can honestly say it was very nice place to stay at, the room i stayed in (3) was very relaxing and cosy, bed very comfortable and warm and clean, all the staff are very nice and friendly, would definitely recommend, and will be back again soon.

Stay there for 2 nights. It's nice room.

We booked a month in advance, was told no need to worry about a booking confirmation when we asked, only verbally told about our booking, called 1 week before to confirm booking and dates, was assured our booking was in place and correct. Arrived on the day only to find out our booking was for the incorrect dates and were now stranded hours away from home with 2 children in the car. Giving 1 star as they did try find if their other hotel had space, it did not.

Decent pub slightly away from town centre - first time visit, seemed to serve only popular larger with only one guest beer but friendly atmosphere and clean and tidy - would definitely call again.

Stayed here 2 nights, the room was clean and well presented. The staff are really friendly and the pub itself had a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Small pay and display carpark just outside with low charges, the price of the room was very reasonable. Highly recommend this place 💜

Poor from start to finish. Couldnt sleep due to excessive noise, check in poor, nobody there when we left the following morning. Wouldn't return or recommend

We stayed here last night and it was fab, The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble, they gave us a list of taxi firms to get to the wedding we were attending at Carlton Towers and suggested a café for breakfast. The room was lovely with a new bathroom and decorated well with a lovely comfy bed. I would stay there again next time we’re in the area

Comfortable rooms very clean and staff excellent.. Band playing too noisy on both Fri and Sat. There was also a robbery three doors away. I doubt if I'll return.

What a great find... newly refurbished. Stepping inside is like entering a different world.. It's clean, smart and friendly.. good bar staff ... pint of fosters and an old speckled hen ... £4.85 for both!! I got change from a fiver.... live sports on tv...

Excellent bar staff. Pub will be better IF building work is ever completed work taken forever finally skimmed the ceiling after months of looking at plasterboards. Pity owner doesn't treat customers with consideration he's very lucky to have such good staff. When work is finally complete worth 5 stars.
