Only had a couple of takeaways, but it has been great service and lovely food.

Booked a table for 14 of us , food was absolutely delicious from start to finish, staff are so polite and friendly and the whole place had a great atmosphere . Well done to all the team 👏

The best curry ! The lamb lamass is mind-blowing the the main the poppadoms the dips everything is absolutely spot on full of taste ...tip ...when you order a curry ask to be sprinkled pan fried garlic and coriander...👍👍👍👍

We haven't been here since before covid, and wow, what a shock the staff was amazing apart from watching one member of staff constantly wiping his sweat on his sleeves and arms as he was serving and then to my surprise rearranging his genitals before serving the table next to us.🙈🙈 . We had a set meal for two, which is still a reasonable price but not served in the same way as in the past (a little messy) but like I say the staff were still 100%

We've not been for a while, but will be back soon. The food is delicious and beautifully presented on the plate. The front of house staff are very attentive. Good value too.

We booked last Friday for a friends birthday. Had a first class meal in a pleasant atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and prompt service. They made our night by bringing a surprise chocolate cake for our friends birthday out at the end Thank you to all your wonderful staff

Brilliant night,great food very helpful friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us who even came out with a cake for our grandsons eight birthday and sang happy birthday to him,very clean and comfortable inside,a great big thankyou to the Banyan tree staff for a lovely time,very highly recommend,we will definitely be back.

Come here New Year’s Eve 2023 young staff very friendly food good only thing what let this down. Was the manager owner with the grey suit on wasn’t friendly bit of an attitude far from friendly. Don’t deserve nice customers manager let the night down needs a chill pull

Went new years eve had the banquet for 2 The food was fabulous Enjoyed every bite ...this was the first time I've been ...even though I've drove by numerous times ...I will definitely be going back...reasonably priced as banquet worked out £55 for two absolutely would recommend

Had a take away, ordered online for 6pm collection, collected on time, not often I get this often a delay. Chicken tikka masala and chicken biriyani along with rice and naan. Specified gluten free which was confirmed on collection and on the boxes. The food was excellent, well cooked and plenty of it. We’ll definitely be going again.

Absolutely lovely place, booked for daughters 16th birthday was not disappointed, staff was very friendly, service was amazing and food was gorgeous , even brought my daughter a cake out for everyone to share which added that extra touch. Will definately be booking again and highly recommend

We had a delivery for my son’s birthday last night. Food was amazing as usual. Food was fresh and plentiful. Would definitely recommend The Banyan Tree. The owner goes out of his way to make sure everyone gets the right food for their dietary requirements. My son is a vegetarian and my daughter is coeliac and she could have anything from the menu apart from the naan breads! Love this place. Will definitely order from here again!

Dreadful service from chewing staff who were smirking and ignoring customers. Very rude and abrupt. Food was greasy, too much fat and oil. Chicken was chewy and old.

What can i say? Amazing! Service was brilliant, the waiter was funny and accommodating. And even brought out some reading glasses so i could read the menu. The food was awesome, and the service was second to none. Will deffo return. brilliant!

Came to Banyan tree for a family meal, food was amazing especially the sharing platter for two 😊. Compliments to the chef, we all cleared our plates, there was definitely more than enough. Superb! from the moment we arrived and took to our seats. Fantastic selection of wonderful freshly cooked dishes. Amazing service delivered by all staff. Courteous and pleasant. I must have driven past the restaurant hundreds of times, each time saying “we must try it”. Well, don’t be a fool like me, book a table and try it yourself.

Cutting costs. Prawns are cheap. Meat and sauce no frills.. Veg options don’t have a range of veg in them. Naan breads are tiny ….it’s just flour and water guys?? Service wasn’t welcoming or sincere. Place has gone down hill.

Placed an order and they missed two items off. Asked us to prove they got our order wrong. After years of using this restaurant, we won’t be ordering from them again nor visiting their premises.

The food was bland and had no taste at all. When the waiter asked why the food wasn’t eaten I explained the situation. He called over the manager who was extremely rude and could not take any criticism.

Found this gem of a restaurant by accident on Saturday evening and called in on the off chance that a table was available. We were found a table and by the time we left the whole Restaurant was full - seemed very popular. Not surprised as food was excellent and a little different to usual Indian restaurant menus. We had a really lovely meal and customer service was very good too. Would thoroughly recommend.

Totally dry chicken tikka, rubbery naan breads …. Worst we’ve had from anywhere. Like we’d been given leftovers from someone else’s dinner. Ordered on line for collection ant 5.30 (so not a busy time). Only needed chicken tikka and naan breads so expected freshly cooked and good quality. So very disappointed. We’ve had good food from Banyan Tree in the past so very surprised and hugely disappointed with todays experience. Should have cooked our own at home! Will try Mapperley restaurants in future.

Staff excellent, place very nice. Starter was superb ( sharing platter ). Main courses OK but the Tikka Masala tasted a bit tomartory. 99% of places when you order cider put ice in your glass and give you the bottle/can. Had to ask for glass of ice! Small details but these are the things that make you return.

Great food if a little pricey, I suppose you get what you pay for. Limited beer selection, but its about the food and that was well above average.

Absolutely lovely. The ambiance of the restaurant was very welcoming and the dining area was very clean and well presented. The staff were very attentive, welcoming, communicative and approachable. The menu had a good variety and was informative. The food was excellent and both myself and my partner thoroughly enjoyed it. The only reason I have given 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was a long wait between our starters and the mains. The restaurant was, however, fairly busy at the time and the staff communicated with us about the wait and apologised for it. I will definitely be coming here again!

Great curry and food, but the highlight has to be Ish who (every time we visit) completes the experience with his humour and welcoming attitude! Fantastic customer service from him and quite honestly carries the whole atmosphere with his charisma! Thank you for such a great experience.

Never again! Have not been there for 10 years and will Never go back. Not sure who paid you to write those amazing reviews or you never had any quality food and good service in you life probably. This is place is far from fine dining! Waiters come and go to your table in bunches, like 5 were servicing us on Valentine’s Day 2023. Only manager made and eye contact and somehow cared. The rest do not make any eye contact and look tired and fed up. Food is supermarket quality ( not joking) overprice and takes ages to get cooked and service is below 0. I never write reviews for restaurants unless I want to either warn people or really recommend a good place! In this care warning do not water your time and money.

By far my favourite Indian for both takeaway and dine in, service is great and never had a bad meal. I also used to frequently visit the Mangrove in Mansfield which is the same team and equally as good.

We arrived at opening time for a end of year / christmas work dinner - it was extremely cold and the heaters were not turned on till much later when other customers arrived. Flavours were not rich and in my opinion probably a little too much on the menu to make good food.

If you’re disabled, and require you’re assistance dog, this place is not right for you! It is illegal to discrimine against disabled people and refuse entry to assistance dogs. We came here for a special occasion as this used to be my favourite restaurant, and I will no longer be returning. I am appalled and furious.

Slight delay with the pick up and no real area to wait that wasn't separate from the people dining in, but food was in the pricey side but excellent and waiter apologising for getting so busy and the delay... Can't complain if the demand is so high, can only mean one thing about the quality of the food.. top drawer

This is the worst I have ever had rang for a delivery said one hour that’s ok one hour 30min later rang them again and they said we tried to deliver I ask for the address they got they had the total wrong address so...

Called in on recommendation without a booking, what an experience. Right from us walking in we were made welcome, the waiter was amazing, and I can't speak highly enough of the service and quality of food. This will be my restaurant of choice for Indian food in the future.

Waste of £40. Ordered chicken tikka masala x2 with all the extras. And it smelt and tasted cheesy? Even looked cheesy! Tasted like it had come out of a jar from tescos Couldn’t even eat it after only having one mouthful.

Local Authority should visit this place, food pan's really greasy and dirty, food tastes strange and lamb meat, salmon over cooked and starnge smel as well .
