Upon my first visit to Tamasha, I was surprised by its cozy size; it felt more like a vibrant bar than the lavish dining experience I had anticipated. The price point also caught me off guard, with a vegetarian curry priced at £18.95. However, the lively atmosphere on a Thursday night hinted that they must be doing something right! I ordered the Tamasha Mixed Grill Trio, and while the king prawns were exceptional, the rest of the offerings were decent but not outstanding. One of the dipping sauces was somewhat unconventional and didn’t quite complement the mixed grill, though the mint sauce stood out as it was clearly made with fresh mint. Customer service was satisfactory, adding to the overall experience. In conclusion, if you’re willing to splurge for that picture-perfect Instagram shot, Tamasha won’t disappoint with its stunning pink floral decor and beautifully presented dishes. However, if you’re a true foodie seeking bold flavors and satisfying meals, you might want to explore other options.

Visited Tamasha for the 5th time last night. Food amazing as usual, gorgeous cocktails and decor. We were served by Joe and Memory who were outstanding and made our visit memorable. We will definitely be back on of the best restaurants in the area.

This is by far one of the best halal restaurant’s in Nottingham, the customer service was excellent, the food was delicious it is slightly more expensive than other restaurants but I can understand why, the food portions are huge! Want to give a shout out to Zion he was a very pleasant waiter and made the experience very enjoyable. Definitely come to try this restaurant and ask for Zion 😊

The food, service and atmosphere of this place is amazing we have been coming here quite often as seen they do halal breakfast and when we went we was not dissapointed the food tastes amazing and the staff here are so kind and welcoming. We was served by ashleigh and emma ❤️❤️

Foods are amazing!! Railway lamb curry is highly recommended. The only problem is the restaurant a bit noisy because of the music. Musics should be selected more carefully.

Their father’s day Sunday roast offer was misinformation. You have to be a large group with no children to book you in. They didn’t let us because we children are not allowed and we have been there with a child before. Might be good for dads who go there with their big group of friends and no family so that Tamasha can make more money.

Went here Saturday 8 th June,had tarriaki beef for starters very nice but a little fatty for me. Family had garlic mushrooms all enjoyed, For the mains I had railway lamb curry it’s the best curry I’ve ever had absolutely beautiful,rest had chicken curry and said very nice but mine tasted better,very good place good atmosphere will definitely go back.

Lovely food at this Mapperley top restaurant. It was full when first arrived, with a very mixed bag of customers, it shows how popular it is. The food was very tasty and presented really well.Great service too.

Extremely disappointed with this place. Booked a table in advance as I knew it was a Saturday night and it more than likely would be busy. Arrived and was waiting to be seated for a good 15-20 minutes. I work in this industry myself and I understand sometimes things cannot be helped as they were clearly understaffed but they should not accept so many bookings If you clearly do not have the capacity to fit them all. The service was genuinely slow and shocking which is a shame as the food was nice so it really lets the place down. Considering the price you don’t just go out to eat for food you’re paying for the whole experience so it was very disappointing. Once we were seated no one took our order for 20 minutes, by the time our drinks arrived we had been in there a good 45-50 minutes. The young guy that served us is clearly in the wrong industry and seemed so unbothered that they were busy as he had no rush about him, he took more time chatting away and arguing with chefs instead of his customer service. By the time my food arrived it was cold as I had seen it being sat on the side waiting for him to take it for a good 15 minutes, had to then ask him to reheat it. We were sat right by the till and all staff still managed to avoid making any eye contact or conversation with us which was very annoying as clearly the food was ready to be taken. The only person who seemed to be working was who seemed to be the manager who I actually felt quite bad for because she was getting agro from customers left right and centre. Disorganisation and certain members of staff clearly let this place down. I then had to get up to ask for my bill because it was taking so long. Then to be left with “cheers for that bless” after the payment was took from the guy. I am not your friend I’m coming here and paying my money for good service that’s what I expect.

Mediocre, lamb chops ok, dynamite chicken and lollipop chicken nice, aubergine very soogy with unedible parts,salmon ok and chicken ok, overall nothing special apart from the presentation which was good, however the taste of the food was very lacking overall, most likely not go there again

I had breakfast at Tamasha and it was a delightful experience. Ashleigh and Emma were the waitresses who took care of our table and they were both friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. I highly recommend this breakfast place and will definitely be returning.

This was our third visit to Tamasha but first time leaving a review. The food was excellent as always however the kitchen staff are really let down by the service which is poor. There was no shortage of waiting staff but service was painfully slow. There was a long wait between arriving and taking our drinks order and then my bottle of Cobra arrived little below room temperature. The food was delicious and we were offered the dessert menu however after 20 minutes no one returned to take our order. We eventually caught the eye of the waitress and instead asked for the bill as we were fed up of waiting. The bill arrived and another 15 minutes passed without anyone taking payment. We took our bill to one of the many waiting staff at the bar, one drinking a glass of wine, and paid before leaving. This place could be great but is let down by the service.

We had a great lunch at Tamasha served by Ashleigh & Taleah. Food was amazing, great authentic Indian street style food we had the Tapas with dynamite prawns, chicken lollipops were to die for we also had the mock tails which were excellent and the service was perfect. Will be coming again.

Came here for my birthday.. on a Monday, we had a table booked at another restaurant until about 3 days ago and I changed to this restaurant as I had always wanted to try. On arrival we were greeted and seated (only ones in the restaurant), the lady gave us menus and went and sat at a table on her phone. We then had to ask for additional menus as these were presented to us (just the main menu). Another table arrived, then another. I believe about 2/3 then arrived who worked at the restaurant however staff nearly out numbered customers. The food was lovely - no complaints, just compliments on the food. The bill for 4 of us was £255 so we spent what I believe to be a fair amount. Our taxi was collecting us at 10pm. The lights were put up at 9.30pm which instantly changed the mood in the room (we were still eating deserts), quickly followed by the music which was just switched off. The server then proceeded to cash up. Nothing screamed leave like these two actions. We paid and left. The server didnt see us leave until the last person walked out the door as again, she was sat on her phone. We waited outside from 9.50pm as it was clear we needed to leave, I asked if I could pop back in to use the toilet to which the response was “erm, I guess so.. sorry I’ve rushed you out I just don’t get paid after 10pm”. Unfortunately that’s not our problem, we were paying customers, who had to wait outside as the actions from the sever made it clear she wanted to close up. We left 3 FULL drinks due to the rush. Unfortunately, we won’t return, this was a bad experience and it’s made us feel as though I made a bad choice in changing restaurants last minute. Final point was as part of my booking I was asked if it was a special occasion.. not sure why as this definitely wasn’t recognised.

It was very busy with a good vibe. The service was good. We sat downstairs at the back but it still felt cold and everytime the entrance door opened more cold air from outside came in. This ruined our experience somewhat, maybe it’s warmer to sit upstairs? Not sure?? The prices are very high for the location, expensive overall for all items on the menu. The portion sizes are huge. Next time I will skip the starter and just have a main. I ordered Sea Bass and it was very tasty, although was served with 10kg of mashed potatoes 🤣

1st time visited & tried a selection of Tapas; which was lovely. Great service from both Mica (waitress) & greeter Freya there - & staff around there tonight in general.

Came on a Friday evening around 6, had the place to ourselves, but not for long! Shows how great an atmosphere it is in here! Food came before I could blink my eyes it was so quick! Zion was amazing at greeting us and our Mica was an amazingly attentive hostess! Kudos on the chicken lollipops.. new favorite!
