Overpriced, inedible cakes and rude staff. This might be the West End, but why put up with this just because the location is good? There are far better options everywhere in town.

Unfortunately this bakery has gone completely downhill for some reason. Everything used to be delicious, well baked and moist. Now it all seems so dry, over baked and tasteless. Not sure if they have changed staff or perhaps lost the passion for quality. I’d recommend going to the bakeries on Hyndland Street instead.

Sorry to say that in times when money is tight - it costs no more to be pleasant than it does to have a bad attitude. Regular customer here over the years but recently went in and the female server on asking to buy some vegetable rolls dis-missingly told us they were not ready - when we asked asked when they would be ready she just shrugged and said 'no idea' - we probed further as we planned to go shopping and come back and quite frankly were dismayed by her attitude - she could see the effects and suddenly changed her tune and just walked over and gave us them. Really.....there are plently of others who need a job and would serve with a smile.

I have purchased from here before and loved it, the baking is so fresh. However, I was so disappointed when I purchased a ham roll and when I took a bite from it, it was room temperature/warm. Needless to say I wasn't going to take the chance and didn't eat it, therefore wasting £4.50.

Everyone must visit. Great selection of sweet and savoury options. I had a vegetarian haggis sausage roll and a coffee blondie, both were great. The sausage roll was crispy and spicy. Looking forward to coming back and trying out the rest of the selection.

Delighted at the choices from sweet to savoury. Quick pick me up coffee on the go, with several treats. My favourites are, the chicken and mushroom pie and the raspberries and white chocolate cake. Also glad I tried the empanada, not as spicy as I hoped but it was delicious. Good measures on social distancing and hygiene. I can’t post a picture as I wolfed it all down!

Frequented by the locals, it should be on everyones radar, just of Clarence Drive with almost no parking near by this is the best place for excellent coffee, baked on the premises bread ( my favourite is the rye, it comes in a half loaf) and a fresh selection of dainty cakes, and tarts and tempting sweet things, plus fresh eggs and sandwiches. The nicest staff. Quite the institution. Don't be in a hurry because everything is made to order (coffee). Look out for the sample plate whilst you wait. There are a few seat inside in the winter and more outside in the summer. Go early in the day (before 12) to avoid disappointment as things sell out fast.

Impeccable quality bread, cakes and pastries baked fresh every day. The only problem is that they often sell out so quickly.

A wonderful understated bakery, Does really excellent sourdough bread that is scrumptious and an amazing selection of delicious patisserie including sour cherry brownies, mini sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel, polenta cake, salted caramel brownies, and more and more. Too many to list and all look delicious and the many I have tried taste delicious too!

The people who work here seem charming enough, the shop is clean and it’s well situated but a loaf of bread for £4, although it tastes nice, it’s difficult to stomach the cost. Considering they don’t have a monopoly, I think the pricing should be reviewed, I’ve been a few times but doubt I’ll be back...

Very nice produce- fresh baked sourdough bread and cakes & savoury items, made on the premises. Best in the area in my opinion. The only drawbacks are the cost- the cakes are way overpriced- and the fact they sell out very quickly on busy days. Also for a bakery they seem to open quite late- 9am. Sorry guys but a good bakery opens early in the morning! They should consider that a lot of people might want to buy something for their breakfast before they go to work, so they are missing business. Also they should think about lowering the price on some of their items, especially the smaller, more simple cakes. Generally though a good addition to the neighbourhood.

Been a couple of times - first time the guy serving seemed a bit aloof or disinterested but I got a selection of bread, scones and a cake to take away. Bread and cake were excellent but expensive, scones were average but edible. Second time I was going to try more of the breads but got roundly ignored by the guy serving who was talking to someone at the back of the shop. Tried to catch his eye but he looked past me. Another customer came in whom he greeted so at that point I left... empty handed. There are better options within walking distance so wont be back due to service/price.

Was there this afternoon for coffee and a small treat, following a friend’s tip off. We weren’t disappointed! Had lo leave with a box of delights. The savoury things are also lovely, but the bakery steals your heart (and tastebuds) away. We’ll be back!

My fiance and I were in Darcy's pub every single night during our stay in Galway. The ambiance was so authentic, the music was great, and the staff was above and beyond friendly.

Well what can I say we arrived we did not feel welcomed told we had to pay £5 parking a night hotel decor a bit tied but the room clean . we were going to leave tomorrow and lose the money for the second nights stay but after dinner in the restaurant and talking to Sydney and Scott they changed our option of the hotel we felt welcomed. We are not leaving tomorrow and we are going to have dinner in the hotel tomorrow night again. And this is all down to Sydney and Scott. If Sydney had been the person on reception we might have felt more welcomed

Having never been here before and after reading great reviews about Cote, I decided to book this for my friend and I. On arrival, we were seated immediately at a table under the air conditioning. At first, we welcomed this as it was warm outside, but by the time we left, we were both very cold. For us, the staff were very attentive and friendly and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. On the downside, we didn’t think the portion sizes were adequate for main courses and our dauphinoise potatoes didn’t stay warm for long. Dessert was a very disappointing size wise if I’m honest but it was delicious. We had a bottle of wine and a cocktail each. Don’t make the mistake we made and add service charge on as it has already been added on.

Overall, disappointing. The service was lacklustre, gnocchi was tasteless and I went home hungry. Interior is lovely but its all style and no substance. This was supposed to be a graduation meal for my sister, and I felt so sorry that they got her order wrong and she was left waiting for her meal whilst we all ate ours. Mistakes happen but there was only a small whisper of an apology for this. My meal had eight pieces of gnocchi and so I was finished my meal before everyone else and was left feeling hungry as I watched everyone else finish their dinner. Although the hint of sauce was nice there was not enough of it to flavour the tasteless gnocchi. I had a dessert to try and fill me up but a small, uninspiring sponge with a dodd of ice cream didn't quite manage it. I'd have fed all this back in person if the waiter had adequately asked how my meal was, but they didn't. The maitre d could barely even lift his head out of his booking form to say goodbye to us. At £250 for a meal we definitely wasted our money.
