Food was lukewarm and the lamb was very tough.

Went for the itison deal and well worth the visit. Cocktail on arrival, lovely. The menu choices are very good with something to suit everyone,and very good gluten free options also. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. Think I have found a new favorite place to eat

Gorgeous surroundings, excellent service and some of the best cocktails in Glasgow. Really enjoyed our evening here will definitely be returning for some more cocktails. Fabulous experience. Thanks to the team at Atlantic Bar and Brasserie! ❤️

First visit her and I'm unsure why that is, we had a great meal here and left feeling like we wanted to go to Paris! Bright basement restaurant with brass railings and comfy seating. Gifted an Itison voucher, so we had four courses and a cocktail each. Apple and elderflower cocktail was refreshing and a great start. Amuse bouche was very tasty; whipped goats cheese on crostini followed by starters of cheese soufflé and mussels. The soufflé was light and complimented by beetroot, mussels were huge and came with two thick slabs of crusty garlic bread, which was brilliant. Mains were spit roast half chicken and sea bream, again very very nice. Both big portions, the chicken almost defeated me. Sharing dessert with passion fruit mousse, ice cream and choc brownie. We had planned to head elsewhere for a drink but the wife spotted the live music setting up so we switched to the bar and stayed to listen to some Parisian style jazz. Good choice of draught beers and the cocktails were well done. Our waitress had recommended getting a seat in the bar and offered to move us there, we should have just accepted! Such a relaxing way to start a Saturday. Will definitely go back.

What an incredible restaurant, my lunch was a routisare cooked chicken served with a bearniase sauce and vegetables, wow excellent food. A must visit restaurant if you are in Glasgow.

We had a set 4 x course menu (with a cocktail). The menu offered plenty of choice. All the food was fresh, hot, beautifully presented and delicious. All the staff were lovely; pleasant, polite and very attentive. The atmosphere was lovely too, especially for a pretty miserable, wet Thursday night in Glasgow! The restaurant had a nice warm, cosmopolitan feel, perhaps because of the mixture of different accents and languages - both staff and clients.

Wonderful experience start to finish despite the restaurant being filled to capacity. Starter to a wonderful beef filet main, then espresso martini rather than dessert was an excellent choice! Accompanying wine ws great, and service was friendly, polite and efficient throughout. Will definitely return.

One of the best I Glaagow City centre

We were here last night. It’s my second visit and we both loved it. The food was delicious. We used an ITISON voucher and were happy with our food choices and cocktails. The restaurant was fairly busy for a Thursday and had a good atmosphere. We were served by Lizzie and she was so lovely. We would happily return for a 3rd visit.

Had the pleasure of visiting this fabulous restaurant last night. I enjoyed it so much I’m not sure where to start. You enter on the lower ground where we were welcomed into a beautiful luxurious restaurant. The service, food, cocktails even the wine list were individually worth the visit but as a package this is fine dining with bells on.

After a cocktail in the bar next door we came down to the restaurant. Beautiful. Comfy seating. Great food. Looked after by great staff.

My favourite restaurant, a little bit of Paris in a bistro in Glasgow. Food fabulous service the same. Only thing that irks is the automatic 10% service charge added to the bill. I would like to add my own. So far have been happy to pay. However, I object for the same 10% being added to 2 drinks at the bar later

A quiet evening in this French styled restaurant, which impacted a little on atmosphere. Excellent attentive service without being intrusive. Good quality food, freshly prepared. A lovely range of dishes available. Decent wine, reasonably priced. It was a very pleasant evening... just needs a tad more buzz

This is a nice restaurant but I've been a few times and always been a bit disappointed with the food. It's good but it's not great, or at least not quite to my taste.

Booked for lunch for three. Warmly welcomed on arrival and shown to our table. Must say that all the staff were so friendly, attentive and helpful. The excellent service made for such an excellent experience. Lovely, relaxed dining area with a view of the open kitchen. The food was excellent, well presented and delicious. Very good service, nice food, in a nice building. Not the cheapest of places (which is to be expected given the type of place it is), and you will probably want to either have two courses or some sides with a main course. A small but acceptable number of vegan dishes, which were of high quality and good portion size.

First time to visit Atlantic Bar & Brasserie. Today was a birthday lunch. Very good selection on the menu including vegetarian. Very good food and friendly welcoming front of house staff. Definetely worth taking to time to visit. If going at weekend make a reservation.

Had a meal for my youngest boy on Burns night, his birthday excellent food and service

Every mouthful was absolutely delicious. I didn't want the evening to end. I had goats cheese souffle foowed by sirloin steak and ots of extra dishes alongside. Lizzy who served me was so attentive and caring, she guided me through the menu and gave me recommendations.

We pre booked. The menu had several veggie options ( one of us is veggie). Beautiful restaurant, pleasant efficient staff, right level of attentiveness. We had a full 3 course meal with drinks- all really good. Meal was nicely paced and we were in for the full two hours of our reservation. Toilets were clean and well stocked. The cost of the meal was good considering the quality and surroundings etc.

My daughter and I had yet another lovely long lunch on Saturday. Service and staff are as always absolutely brilliant so attentive,polite,chatty and friendly. Food was as always delicious and Rose wine went down a treat. Looking forward to our return visit already. Thank you.

We had a lovely meal great service, but not too in your face, ambiance nice, and like mangers get involved in your service our friends loved it too made a special afternoon out so thanks.

I ordered French onion soup and the signature roast chicken. They were delicious and flavorful. The service exceeded my expectations. For Asian visitors, I highly recommend trying the signature roast chicken, pretty sure you’ll enjoy it. On top of that, we ordered 3 or 4 desserts, and all of them were superbly yummy!

The best Saturday lunch in a long time. Staff were absolutely brilliant bearing in mind our mix up with dates they accommodated us immediately with no fuss. Been many times and will be back again, maybe on the right day. Would highly recommend

Their vegetable salad was amazing! Whatever sauce they put on meat totally ruined it, in my opinion.

Went in for a couple of cocktails, staff not interested, asked at the door while we were on the street at the top of the stairs if we had a reservation, which we did not, we had to stay there, Then we were made to wait, and made us feel terrible and when we were allowed in, it was about one quarter full. Shocking, absolutely disgusting place.

Delicious food with quick service, very enjoyable experience.

We booked a table for 2 to have a quiet meal out as we had some bad news and wanted to do something nice for the two of us. We were sat down next to a table with a screaming baby who was far too small to be out in a restaurant at that time of day. Then a work group of maybe 20 people sat across from us who were so loud we couldn’t even hear each other speak, staff could have asked them to keep it down a bit but didn’t. Starters came out, I had the pork terrine, the portion is tiny, it used to be bigger, mains came out, the steak was great, my partner had the lemon sole, it came on the bone last time with 2 fillets each side, this time it was off the bone and only small fillets, she finished it in under 5 minutes while I had the majority of a steak to eat. Because of the noise we didn’t stay for a drink or dessert, all in all disappointing and £120 down, way overpriced and very rowdy atmosphere, we won’t be back which is a shame as we have been before and enjoyed it.

This restaurant continues to be my favourite in Glasgow. Despite the restaurant being packed with Christmas diners, the service and food were great. Front of house found us 2 stools at the packed bar to have a pre dinner drink and we were very well looked after by barman Zak who talked us through the various fizz options and even gave us a wee taster to help us decide. He looked after us so well, continually checking we were ok. The head barman then escorted us to our table where we were very well looked after by the lovely Spanish waitress. The chicken was delicios as always and the Christmas creme brulee was to die for. There was a great atmosphere. Thanks Atlantic for a great Christmas night out with my friend.

I popped into the Atlantic because I am staying at the hotel in the same building. Despite it being well before declared closing, there being lots of customers finishing off and me being willing to be quick / flex to the art of the possible, they turned me away. I wonder if the owner knows they don’t like selling to traveling business people staying at their sister business? Looks good - poor attitude and service

A gorgeous bar with delicious drinks and fantastic service! If you then head to the restaurant area you won’t be disappointed with the delicious menu. You do pay for all of this though, for me Atlantic is definitely a place to go as a special treat. On their menu there is a rotisserie chicken option that seems to be a wee bit cheaper than the other options. I’ve never grudges the cost here as it is definitely worth it, I just couldn’t afford to go there on a regular basis.

Lovely afternoon with best friend, had the charcuterie boards and wine flights . Staff pleasant and helpful answering our questions in a professional manner. Surroundings are lovely with soft music in the background, ideal for a lunch meeting or catch up. Will be back

I absolutely love this gem of a place. The staff are amazing and the cocktails are fabulous! Have been in a few times for drinks only, can't wait to book the restaurant as menu looks wonderful. Feels like you are transported to Paris and they have wonderful musicians entertaining the guests. It's not cheap but trust me it's worth every penny!

Technically the name is "Atlantic Bar & Brasserie" (From their website) Romantic spot a few feet below ground level - with quite a few tables and a bar. My wife and I celebrated with top notch French wine, mussels, French onion soup, and Beef Bourguignon....

Romantic venue in the heart of Glasgow - down half a flight of stairs from the street. Bar and Brasserie are in the same room; although there are partitions. We went for a fancy dinner to celebrate many happy years of marriage. We had top of the line red wine (recommended by waiter), bread and butter, soupe a l'oignon, boeuf bourgignon, and luscious dessert. All served at just the right pace and well-prepared.

Fantastic meal. Staff were great Had a wonderful French cuisine experience. L'escargot followed by bouillabaisse. Superb. A great 70th birthday.

Fantastic afternoon for drinks and charcuterie board, leading into dinner. Did not book in advance but my request for dinner was dealt with immediately. I was able to choose our seats at the chefs table as I'm nosy😆 what a tremendous evening we had. Food,was delicious, talking to the Chefs, recommendations from them for our desserts.Most importantly I observed their hygiene standards in the kitchen, which is why I'm nosy 😄Food should be relaxed and memorable which is what we experienced today. I would highly recommend a visit, you would not be disappointed.

On Tuesday mid-afternoon I visited your bar on St. Vincent St. with my wife for a quiet drink. Over the years we have visited your establishment with family and friends for both food and drinks and have always enjoyed the atmosphere and service. Unfortunately, Tuesday was totally different. We sat down, ordered our drinks, but felt the staff were very ‘pushy’, frequently asking us if we wanted more drinks when our glasses were still quite full. Even the ‘presumed’ manageress joined in and we felt she was regularly looking over at our table, offering us her unwanted attention. We did, in fact, order another drink and the manageress came over to ask if we wanted to order more. I said no as my wife still had a half glass of wine. Minutes later, the manageress came over and dropped the bill on our table, without any hint of an explanation. This was strange for the following reasons. Firstly, she had not taken our order. Secondly, my wife still had a drink and, thirdly, we had not yet asked for the bill. We were very frustrated at this unacceptable treatment, to say the least. I approached the manageress to ask if the bar was closing… it was only just over 5pm. She said no and I asked why we had been given our bill without asking for it. She presumed we were leaving as I had not ordered more drinks. She rushed away gauchely, without further intervention, leaving the hapless waitress to deal with her mess. I told the waitress to remove the discretionary 10% service charge, paid the bill, informing her that we would not be back. However, she did apologise and recognised that the ‘boss’ had caused this unnecessary scenario. While I was waiting outside, the barmen explained to my wife your alleged, ridiculous policy of issuing a bill after the first drink or the second to keep tabs on drinks issued. No one else in your bar was asked to do this or had the bill dropped before them without an explanation during our visit. Your bills are surely computerised and this would take care of how much each table owed. We can only assume that your manageress took a dislike to us for some unknown reason and, unilaterally, decided that we had to leave. This was pure discrimination and I will be posting a similar version of our most unpleasant experience on the usual forums.

This was the first time we have eaten here, it won't be the last. The food was superb, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the house white was lovely.

The restaurant is somewhat hidden between other establishments. Easy to walk by and not notice. The service was horrible. The way-too-young looking waiter didn't know what drinks they have available. Couldn't advice on any selection. We had to pay for a glass of orange juice before even getting an opportunity to order any food. Thus can't testify if food is decent or not.

Popped in for some drinks on what was a very busy Sat afternoon in Glasgow and was welcomed by lovely staff, cold beer and a very nice venue to hide away from the crowds for an hour.

We love this restaurant the food was lovely the servies was brilliant dessert I love the date pudding, but this time they left a stone in the pudding and I chipped my tooth, I did tell the young French girl about the stone in my pudding and I chipped my tooth, she didn’t say or do anything, but when we told the guy after paying the bill he apologised and offered to take money off the bill but it was embarrassing, they should have did this before bringing the bill to the table as I did inform the young lady when she came to collect the plates .

Enjoyed a very tasty meal in this lovely restraunt. We went on an Itison deal and thoroughly enjoyed ever one of the four courses. The girl who served us was very pleasant and professional. First time I have had a sharing desert of various dishes. This is a fabulous way to enjoy numerous options without filling yourself up. They do add an automatic 10% service charge. I think it's a bit cheeky as you sometimes don't notice. I always tip, and it's always more than 10%, but when this happens I pay the exact amount.

Ce restaurant est super! As someone who suffers from IBS, I was elated that the Atlantic has a dedicated low fodmap menu. Finding a restaurant that caters to my needs while still being flavorful is hard to find. The menu has plenty to choose from and les repas sont délicieux! I look forward to eating at the Atlantic again, highly recommend.
