The Athenian - gyros in Glasgow City

Ordered online and 25 minutes after the order was supposed to arrive they cancelled the order.

Ordered the beast gyros for almost £16 got kids size meal no halumi fries 5 forks of meat, no way of contacting restaurant. 0 stars (fork for measure)

Gyros box with extra meat was very small, definetly over priced. We paid almost £40 for two boxes and still hungry. Also there was something off with the meat, it smelled and tasted weird, too much salt. Authentic gryos don't taste like this. Excided to try this new restaurant but it such a disappointment. We won't be back

I’m leaving 5 stars for service and atmosphere but I really did order from Deliveroo. I would say that I love their packaging and what they stand for. We all need to be more environmentally friendly so a big thumbs up from me 👍 In terms of the food however, I did find it a big bland and the sauces were also a bit meh. Not sure what I was expecting but it was more than this! The chunks of the chicken and pork were a little small so it did seem to feel like more than what it actually is. Salad portion was great! The pita was okay.. and chips were fine too. The drop in points is also for value, to be honest I feel like the price is slightly high! Haloumi fries were 10/10. Fresh and not from a packet! Would I visit again? Yes but to try the light gyros instead. The beast box, was not so beastly unfortunately.
