The Athenian in City of London, Westminster

The food (we order haloumi and chicken wrap) was really good and fresh! The staff was nice too and the place was tidy, clean and friendly. Would recommend!

Visited The Athenian for a bite to eat after arriving in the area, on our first night of our city break. The food is heavenly, and the service swift and friendly. We ordered the Large Chicken Gyros Box x2 and was not at all disappointed. The dish was packed with flavours. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area who enjoys top quality food.

Tasty food and nice packaging. All my friends have been satisfied. So, I have been ordering food from there for a while.

This was our first meal and visit to BoxPark when arriving in London. It filled us up so much that we didn't really want to eat for the rest of day (we did eat anyway - London is great for food tourism). We had a Box of Mixed meat, Pitta and Chips on the side it was really tasty though!

I am trying to be objective here, but I am disappointed with these guys. It is my second time I am having a bad experience with ''athenian" food and customer service. I returned just because I think it is unfair to judge a restaurant from the very first visit but as they say first impression count. However, I asked the girl at the counter the change my halloumi as it was burnt and the salad it was too watery, she just took the tray back pretending to change it but it happened for me to see the kitchen staff & they didn't changed a bit. The guy in the kitchen just added some more watery salad and then the girl at the counter returned the tray to me. I told her that I followed the process and the halloumi it was the same as previously. She just told me that it is my imagination and that everything has been replaced from my tray. I didn't wanted to argue with the girl took the food, ending up eating only the fries as the meat it wasn't cooked properly as well. I regret saying that I will never be visiting this place again as I've been left unsatisfied both times and I will not allow myself spending my money and time there.

Found this place a couple of weeks ago when in London for a concert. Vegan gyros were incredible... tasty food, biodegradable cutlery/take away boxes. Easily one of the best vegan take aways I have had. They have an amazing brownie that tastes like Ferraro Rocher for afters too! I returned last night with my mother after another concert. Food was still amazing and the staff let us sit and eat after closing time. Fabulous place and if I have to get a coach home again at least I have the Athenian to cheer me up :-) 5*

Visited as seen on a good bloggers insta and thought the food looked good. We weren’t disappointed food was great. We have the beef and lamb souvlaki which was so good and a side of cheese croquettes which were amazing. The restaurant does get very busy and there isn’t a lot of seating which isn’t the best. But will definitely return

Stumbled upon this place and ended up going back because it was so good. Highly highly recommend this place!

Very good quality freshly cooked Greek/Cypriot food. Great taste and really good value. Having spent 6 years in Cyprus this transported me back authentic tastes, simple ingredients well prepared. Will go out of my way in London to visit here again.

I haven’t had a souvlaki since spending some time in Greece... and this wrap bought back so many good memories. So delicious!

Really great authentic Greek food here, came for a quick chicken gyros and left amazed. It has a greek touch as the chefs are from Greece themselves, and even some of the ingredients come straight from Greece. I would recommend this place.

Souvlaki or box take your pick. The halumi is great with the Athenian's fresh salads and sauces. For the meat eaters the beef pork and chicken all looked good too. Grab your food and nip along to St Paul's churchyard to watch the world go by whilst having lunch.
