UPDATE: What a huge transformation! The restaurant is looking fabulous! The biggest change for me was how amazing the new bathrooms are. The new management have done a fabulous job. A big thanks to Hussain for being attentive. Food is still absolutely delicious. One of our favourite places to eat. The free starters are amazing and consist of lentil soup, fresh bread, humus and salad. The service is fast and the food is always fresh. We have never had a bad experience in the last 18 or so years of eating at Azmar, but Afnan was exceptional. He was very courteous, attentive, smiley and polite. Can’t wait to go back!

I walked in at 40kg and walked out at 60kg. The food is super delicious! The service is super enthusiastic! Must come to eat

Miss home? This is the place to eat. Generous portions. Extremely busy everyday of the year. The food is one the best Iraqi/Kurdish kitchens. Bread fresh direct from the Tanoor.

Nice food and nice customer service.

A very nice restaurant that I have been going to for a while now. The staff are very friendly and the service is very fast. The food is absolutely delicious I normally go for the Azmar special and I love it. The tea afterwards is the most thing I look forward to. Just one thing negative I have to point out is that they only take cash payment no card so that can sometimes get a little frustrating but overall I highly recommend this restaurant.

A more than wonderful restaurant

It was a worse experience to dine at Azmar restaurant in Edgware Road for many reasons. Food was finally served nicely but had 0% hygiene. All waiters speak very poor Kurdish English that’s why unable to properly explain about Menu. Waiters ignore a customer,late to take the order,late to serve the food especially the main dish. They accept only cash payments which is not always a possibility for the customer. Prices are very expensive compared to the ingredients and quality of food served. Parking is there suffering ! I won’t recommend this restaurant to any friend,relative or dear.

My husband and I went to this restaurant yesterday and honestly never had such stomach pain. The staff are also so rude, even if someone would tell me come i will feed you for free I still wouldn’t go.

I really like this cafe it’s nice and bright and spacious, the shisha is 20 pounds not too expensive and it’s actually very strong and worth it. The staff is very kind and they make you feel welcome. I would highly recommend this cafe

I have been a regular customer at Azmar since 2016 and the food is always the same, fresh and delicious every single time. One of the best if not the best Iraqi/kurdish restaurant in London! The staff are friendly and welcoming too! I highly recommend this place to all :)

Nice to have someone I accidentally bumped into. Generous people, I swear to God, we are full of free appetizers. May God bless their goodness. But the problem is that payment is required in cash. There is no network.

Have been a regular customer for years. Food has always been excellent. Be advised that they are a cash only business. Highly recommend their Lamb Quzi and Special kebab. Their complimentary bread is something special, always fresh baked and far beyond their competition.

Must eat place! Reason why there are always queues. One of the best West Asian restaurants on Edgware Rd and possibly London. The complimentary lentil soup, salad and non stop fresh bread are wholesome and a great unique touch. The menu is varied covering Iraqi, Iranian, kurdish and lebanese cusine. The mix grills are lavish. It's also one of the few places that is value for money, and dare I say relatively inexpensive. It's a great place for families too. Service is fast and efficient too. Highly recommended.

They have delicious dolma only, it is served on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The place is tidy and clean. We ordered grilled seabass with rice and the sauce on it. I did not like it. They start with lentil soup, hummus, salad, and tandoor bread as a guest.

Food not very nice. Kebab very salty. Same off them staf egnor you. When you want same thing you have to ask more than 1 times. I not recommend to anyone try different one. So many choice. Never go back

I strongly recommend the restaurant. The price is very reasonable and the food is of high quality. The shop offers salad, lentil soup, and chickpeas for free. I tried their grilled meat and it was excellent and delicious.

The food is great. I tried the Azmar Kebab with rice and I consider it my favorite dish as usual. As for the Arayes, I will say that it is good, but not great. I think it lacks something. I liked the new renovation, as there is a clear improvement from the previous one, especially the lighting.

I heard really good things from my friends and family about Azmar Restaurant, so I decided to visit. However, when a staff member took my order, I was shocked when he returned 20 minutes later to tell me the food I had ordered was no longer available. This restaurant is in the heart of London, yet they seemed unaware of their menu availability and lacked attention to customer satisfaction. It ended up making my day worse.

This is my favorite Kurdish food I've had in London! We recommend eating a variety of mixes! It's less than 10GBP and the quantity is quite large!!

Great discovery when we arrived in London. He welcomes you with excellent lentil soup, bread, and salad. The lamb dish is really tasty and excellent. The service at the top. The accompaniments are plentiful... and the price is really reasonable.

One of the best Kurdish/Iraqi restaurants in London. A must visit if in the area. Will leave you satisfied. Staff won’t let you go without hot bread. Food is delicious/excellent and brimming with flavour. Must try the Azmar kebab and Tapsi aubergine. Excuse the photos as I couldn’t wait to dig in. Can get a bit loud sometimes but this is expected with a busy family restaurant.

Very rude waiting staff and behaviour throughout. Wife was eating from a plate and waitress pulled it from her because she wanted to clear the table. Another staff member brushing the floor into me as walking past. Staff members set out the table themselves then complained about where one of us was sitting despite them arranging the chairs. If it was 1 staff member would have accepted it, but 3-4 staff members within a short visit is unacceptable. Don’t invite guests in to dine if you don’t want to accommodate them.

Azmar Restaurant is very excellent. The owner of the restaurant is generous and has high morals. Their grills are without fault. The best thing they have and the most is ordering sea bass fish 👌🏻 Its price is approximately 18 pounds in Saudi riyals 90 riyals

I often go there with my whole family, very fast staff and very friendly, you get bread spreads salads served on the table for free.. . It tastes very good! And it is very cheap compared to the other restaurant... It's always full there...which is why you almost always have to wait for free seats, but I like to take it easy with 4 small children because I know it's worth it!! .. (after renovation it's very comfortable to sit there, I think it's a very successful design)

While the establishment certainly exudes an air of sophistication, the overall experience left much to be desired. The ambiance, though polished, lacked warmth, making it difficult to feel truly comfortable. As for the cuisine, it unfortunately fell short of expectations. The dishes, while presented with flair, were decidedly underwhelming in flavor—more style than substance. Ultimately, while the setting may appeal to those seeking aesthetic allure, the uninspired atmosphere and merely passable fare do not warrant a return visit.

There is no need to write any word to describe the perfect and outstanding food and service and the staff. You should be confident to add this place on the top of your must visit restaurants in London, and I believe it is the best one. Thanks for the great experience we had today .

This place on Edgware Road is an absolute gem for Iraqi food lovers! The Iraqi kebab and Mosul kubba were out of this world. I couldn't resist trying the lamb qozi too, and it was every bit as delicious as I hoped. They've got a fantastic mix of dishes on the menu – something for everyone. Plus, a big shoutout to the cleanest toilet I've seen in a while! Definitely worth a visit if you're after authentic Middle Eastern flavors.

Been there today few days after their reopening. The food was not good at all Lamb kebab was so chewy Special kuzi had a very strong taste of dried lime and ruined the whole meat . Charged us 5 pound extra for a stew which normally should come with a meal you order in any kurdish restaurant The guy on the floor was very friendly and nice but will never be back again for that poor and over priced food. If the renewing costs you alot you don't need to charge the customers extra to remake the money bro .

Nice restaurant but they only take cash

This restaurant was very hospitable and once we sat at the table, the waiter loaded the table with different condiments and nans!.. all were delicious!.. the kabab platters are slightly small as compared to the ones I’ve had before but they were very filling and we were a family of four and ordered 3 platters. Service was very good and overall we had a great experience.
