Popped in totally unplanned. Mandy and her partner were so welcoming, came and told us when the tractor meet were about to leave so the kid could watch. Very chilled and traditional pub. Beautiful way to spend an hour on a sunny October day, we will definitely be coming back!!

Go here regularly for lunch with work. Mark and the team always have the best food, at a good price, served in a great time!

Good food, dog friendly bar area, can get busy on a summer weekend and tables in the bar can't be booked. Veggie son had a very good macaroni cheese but plenty of other veggie options on offer.

I thought this year we would try The Apple Tree for our Christmas lunch so I booked a table for the four of us and we were not disappointed the food was really good and plenty of it my three friends were well impressed. The Apple Tree is a lovely cosy village pub. 😀😁

This is a lovely out of the way country pub in the small hamlet of Shoscombe near Radstock. Cracking little outdoor seating area.Took the better 75% out for lunch and had a nice chat to the landlord & Landlady the former of whom was responsible for our lunch. My dinner date had the chicken in a basket which was immense and I had the beef chilli with fillet strips. I have judged a few chillies in my time and this was a very good pub chilli. If you've got a bit of time, search this place out for a bit of rural tranquillity and more than decent grub. Try and find a teetotaller to drive and stay a while.

Proper village pub. Landlord and landlady real characters, very friendly. Food and drink excellent. Garden needs a kids climbing frame etc. Otherwise "the best"

Village pub, out of the way in a valley. Good food, cider and beer. Well favoured by locals and people coming from further afield who know about the food. A large outdoor play area for kids - away from the drinkers tables, but still in sight. Dogs and walkers welcome.

Best pub in the area by a long way. Landlord/ lady are lovely and we're always made to feel welcome. Good beer and an absolute bargain Sunday Roast.

Called in for a quick drink after a lovely walk along Wellow Brook. Very welcoming in what is a very real proper pub - no Sky Sports, no gambling machines or fancy gastro style pub. The menu was quite extensive and looked good value, we look forward to testing the menu soon. Lovely South facing garden with direct access to footpaths. A couple of well kept real ales and ciders complete the picture.
