People just stare at your because youre not from the aera. Weird vibe. Pints went that great. Beer line needs cleaned

Great wee pub with fantastic food and a friendly welcome

Well..... I've been here three times in the last month and it's a great boozer... It's a bit like the jockey in shameless but in the best possible way! Its a right mix of ages 18 to 60. the people are sound and the bar staff are friendly.. bouncing wee spot! Pint of lager is only something like £3.80

We were there for a wake, the buffet food was lovely and staff were very friendly and helpful Thanks 😊

1st time on Saturday night, brilliant atmosphere, good music, loved it.

Honestly a lovey place and I'll 100% come again but your karaoke is is amazing but I requested my songs hours before the ending and didn't get to sing it. I get I've drunk alot but that doesn't mean I have to wait hours just for my song I requested to not he picked. Also to add onto someone who requested after me got to sing before me which I found really mean in my opinion if someone request something before hand they should before hand not someone after. But other than that it was an awesome night that was my only problem about the karaoke. Thank you for a great night

New to Bonnyrigg- the Anvil is my local now - me and my partner went there Friday night and the food was amazing !! Great staff - great atmosphere and fab food !!! What else can you ask for 👍

Absolutely shocking attitude from the guy behind the bar. 12 of us went in for food and beer and was told the menu is on the bar and the kitchen is over there, he then walked away. Clearly doesn't need the business .

Asked for a pint and a bud got told no buds when they where in full view there got refused a pint cause there were no clean glasses at least the company was good

Was there last night service was a joke stood 15mins to b served because he'd rather serve his regulars even after ordering drinks which took 10mins to get 4 drinks he was serving regulars at the same time. Very bad tempered owner aggressive will defo not be back nd will not recommend this pub party of 12 left so his loss
