¡Lugar increíble! Personal encantador y muy buena comida! Mis compañeros de hamburguesa estaba un poco más hecho a su gusto, pero toda la otra comida era muy bueno! ¡Mantuve a mi quisquillosa familia muy feliz! Muy buenos precios también para Londres!

El Angel Pub EC 1 Y es un pub de dos plantas. Está cerca de las estaciones de metro y paradas de autobús cercanas. Está limpio y bien cuidado. Personal amable y servicial. El menú ofrece una variedad de comida de pub, y tratan de acomodar alergias y otras demandas a las comidas. The Angel ofrece una selección de bebidas, pero el gran 5 estrellas va a la pinta sin alcohol en oferta. La mayoría de los pubs venden 0. alcohol en botella, por lo que es costoso y de nuevo el extraño. ¡Aquí puedes unirte a los vítores con tu propia pinta! También es sabroso. Estaría bien con otra opción de variedad, y todavía estoy buscando el pub / restaurante que ofrece vino sin alcohol para tener con una comida, ya que estos son bastante baratos! ¡Uno puede esperar que el ángel sea el primero! ¡No puedo calificar El Ángel lo suficiente! Visitamos el domingo pasado para el almuerzo del domingo y nos recibieron con tanta calidez. El personal era tan hospitalario y el servicio era increíble. Tuve el asado de nueces que recomiendo encarecidamente, mi marido la panza de cerdo y mi hija pescado con patatas fritas. También tuvimos el camembert horneado como entrante para compartir y fue increíble. El ambiente es justo lo que quieres de un pub tradicional de Londres. Sin duda volveremos a visitar. ¡Gracias!

Después de haber sido rechazado por la Princesa Snooty de Shoreditch entró para un almuerzo en el pub a El Ángel casi al lado - para ser recibido con una cálida bienvenida. El casi perfecto solomillo de 8 onzas con goteo de carne de res elevó el sabor de la cerveza a un nivel diferente. El servicio amable - no demasiado ocupado un lunes por la tarde - lo convierte en un gran lugar para la reflexión solitaria y la escritura. El tipo de lugar que Hemingway pudo haber aprobado. Inténtalo para disfrutar de una experiencia de almuerzo sin pretensiones.

Excellent pub handy for Shoreditch and Old St Station. Remarkably quiet after work, a surprise considering the warm welcome, excellent atmosphere, and great food and beer. Well worth coming back

Was staying at Travelodge just down the road for a concert and had checked out this pubs website and liked the menu and decided would eat there. Friendly and welcoming staff. I ate late afternoon, pub not very busy but nice place. Food was amazing. Such good food. Grilled goats cheese to start with, with roasted plums and great blood orange and maple dressing. Very nice Pan fried hake was wonderful with a lovely sauce and potatoes. Very well cooked and very nicely presented. Don't often see hake on menus in UK. Really enjoyable and would go back just for this dish. It was a great dish and really enjoyed it. Well done Chef! Had sticky toffee pudding with ginger ice cream for dessert. Don't often do puddings but it it was very nice dessert. All in all a great meal and reasonable prices for central London. A very nice meal and would recommend. Thanks guys for great food and a nice atmosphere

Visited for a drink early afternoon, then saw the food menu and was quickly tempted to order lunch. The fish Goujan sandwich with fries was delicious. Great value and quickly served too, Friendly bar staff and only to happy to help out. Looking forward to returning next month for the weekly quiz night when I’m next in London, got my team of 5 ready! See you in July!!

Super friendly staff, clean, and very good food, would definitely stop by if you are in the area. They host trivia nights as well!

We had a lovely dinner with the family. The beer was great, the food was wonderful, and the staff were friendly. The menu had great variety and we found options for the kids (Schnitzel). We had beef roast, fish, and chicken at our table and they were all cooked perfectly. The veggies were fresh and also cooked perfectly. There are about 10 tables and a bar, so it is small and cozy. It was clean and cared for. We recommend it for a casual night out.

Didn't know this pub at all but had booked to go to a gig (Creep Show) at the nearby Village Underground and needed pre-gig beer and food so after a bit of online research, this place looked very suitable, being only 10 minutes walk from the venue, so booked a table for two. It didn't disappoint! On arrival met with friendly staff, good beer (can't go wrong with a couple of jars of Neck Oil) and good food - OK not Michelin 3 star but perfectly delicious pub grub! We were invited to the pub quiz upstairs but with the gig to go to had to pass on that. Would definitely go back, even just for a couple of pints in passing and definitely will be my preferred pre-gig pub when next going to Village Underground. (Great venue by the way but that will have to be in a separate review!)

Staying at the Travelodge just down the road and the 2 of us had a great meal and drinks after a long day exploring London. Would highly recommend.

Found this pub totally by accident and glad we did. It’s got London Pride on tap which, this trip to London, I’ve found difficult to find and the food here is great. The staff are friendly and helpful too. It’s just a nice cosy pub. I’ll have to remember this one for our next UK visit!

Very traditional Victorian/Edwardian London pub. Amazing sirloin steak and brilliant bone marrow sauce. Attentive staff.

Another great little London boozer where the staff are great, choice is good, prices fair (for the area), bar area spotless…BUT THE TOILETS! Don’t NOT go because of this- it’s a great bar! Just a little effort in the bogs makes it a 5!!

Passed this place loads of times, but decided to give lunch a try for once. Was impressed with choices, helpful staff who where polite and approachable. found out they do sunday lunches. So we tried it out this last sunday, and really enjoyed it, it come hot and plenty on your plate. defo going back. My husband was happy he could watch the footy too.

Popped in for some food and drinks. They have many more beers than before, and seem to do cocktails as well. Staff is welcoming as well so definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

We had Tuesday evening drinks here with about 20people. We were given a great private room upstairs. Friendly staff and lovely pub nibbles to accompany our drinks. We'll definitely be back again.

Las camareras eran absolutamente horribles. La comida se retrasó por más de una hora y media y se hizo sentir como si fuera nuestra culpa. Fueron groseros y una vez que nos quejamos dos veces, intentaron ofrecer brownies para tratar de aplacar nuestra comida tardía.

Traditional but young to old clients and generally lively, goof atmosphere. Some good pub food, range of beers but limited wine choice. Menu changes regularly with the manager in charge.

Popped in here for a couple after a night at O2. Staff were friendly but the cider had a slight tang to it. Not a brewery I'd encountered before though so stuck with it. Then I went to the loo which was a disgrace, no way it could be used so had to leave. Staff then were totally disinterested. Won't be back.

I work close to this pub so its our default post work venue. Overall its a decent pub, good staff, food menu looks ok but I've not eaten there personally. My only issue is the strong smell of cleaning product in the bar. Im very happy they thoroughly clean the place but there's always a strong stench of chemical cleaning products when ever i been there. A few drinks later you don't notice it but i would recommend the manager look into changing products as it can be off-putting and is reminiscent of a swimming pool.

Pub parece muy bonita en el exterior, y es tan bonito cuando fuimos. El personal era muy agradable, y hay algunas cervezas de barril. La comida era buena y había una bonita selección disponible. La segunda planta está bien. Nos sentamos en la habitación de al lado, que era agradable y tranquilo. En general muy bien. Curioso si uso la palabra lo suficientemente agradable si se detiene como un verdadero palabra. Eso está bien.

Fuimos allí con mi novio y el personal era muy amable y servicial que nos reservamos mesa en arriba lado y ha sido increíble y super romántico. La comida era estupenda y el nuevo menú es simplemente perfecto.

Cuando compro una bebida que esperan un buen servicio al cliente, el pasado viernes noche 18/05 / 18 me di cuenta de que la camarera sólo pour la mitad de la tónica de la botella en el gin tonic que pedí. Cuando dije que un cliente siempre recibe la botella completa ella parecía perpleja, me di cuenta de que había 4 botellas vacías en frente de las botellas de bebidas alcohólicas. Supongo que al hacer esto hacen el doble de dinero si un cliente no se da cuenta de lo que el personal del bar. También la grúa estaba en un vaso grande que pondría en refrescos, se esperaría un buen vaso poner licores En y también no espero 7 grandes pedazos de hielo en el vaso. Así que pedí ver al director que luego pregunta cuál es el problema y, a continuación, dicho explicó para mí calma bien no estaría como este si su personal no estaba intentando con mí. Me dieron una nueva bebida en un buen vaso con solo 2 piezas de hielo lo que pedí, que podría haber sido mejor por ofrecerme la bebida en la casa, Si mi crítica no hubiera sido tan malo, pero no, así que no entraré por la actitud de la gerente y su personal, no hay nada peor que alguien tratando de timar.

I came here on a Friday and had a great time. It was not too busy, found a table easily. I had some very nice Camden Hells on tap, I had not had it before. London prices. Staff was very nice and the atmosphere relaxing.

Nous avions prévu de déjeuner ailleurs mais a cause de l'attente, nous sommes aller plus loin et avons découvert ce restaurany. La formule de midi proposait divers sandwich grillés et frites + boisson à 9£ était très bien. L'équipe était attentionnée et le décor vintage de très bon goût. Nous avons passez un bon moment !

Pagamos 13 libras por la mitad chichen y patatas fritas. Tenía una textura de pollo muy raro. Tanto mi amigo y yo no se siente genial después de comer. No estoy seguro de si estaba congelado, y cocinamos mal, o tenía demasiado mantequilla. . . De todos modos no comprarla.

Muy común, la de arriba, que era más tranquilo y unos menús en estos momentos. La comida está bien pero un poco cansado!

Utilizamos la planta 1 calle a celebrar nuestra fiesta de compromiso y no podríamos haber estado más contentos con el servicio recibido. El personal era atento, amable y muy atento en el evento y el día transcurrió perfectamente gracias a su ayuda. El lugar es impresionante y la comida era estupenda. Me gustaría dar las gracias a todos los que hicieron que el día fuera tan memorable.

Went here for lunch today - they make quite a big deal of their menu and kitchen on the website so was looking forward to it. The reality was quite different. The pub was reasonably busy, but not packed. we got a table upstairs and ordered at the bar downstairs, but had to wait 15-20 mins to order drinks and food. There was only one person serving behind the bar, pouring drinks and taking food orders at the same time, and she was so busy that she didn't have time to figure out who'd been there a while, so walk-ins got served before people who'd been waiting a while.We finally placed an order and went back to our table. The first meals arrived after about 30 mins, but one meal was missing and a curry didn't have any rice with it. Despite asking about five times where the other food was (it's coming) it never materialised. I didn't get any lunch at all after waiting 75 minutes. When we got up to leave and asked for a refund on my meal, they produced my sandwich and seemed surprised that I didn't want it - after my two colleagues had finished eating and I had to get back to the office.All in all, a pretty poor experience. I feel sorry for the staff as there didn't seem to be anywhere near enough to run the bar, but I wouldn't bother going back again.

Good pub for a quick drink! Service was good, and very efficient staff. The bar staff can give you a taste of a preferred drink if you are unsure! Overall, good experience. For sure will be back.

Saturday evening - the service which we received was great, big thanks to Justina, who made our evening! Atmosphere is chilled and interior is cool too (especially the chandeliers). If you ever around Old street station give it a try. Good selection of drinks from draft beers to spirits!

Four of us went there for drinks after we ate out on 9/21.There were a few people behind the bar, two seemed to be waiters (one male, one female) and another one seemed to be a boss-boy.A few customers were waiting at the counter to order some drinks and no one was coming to serve us, as the staff was chatting together at the back of the bar area.Despite waving at them, calling them and tapping on the bar, it took several moments for a staff member to come get our orders... and of all people, it was the boss-boy.Poor guy didn't know anything except for the beers... and it was hard to get the glass of wine my wife wanted.Definitely an issue the owner will have to address. As there are so many pubs in London... we figure even locals will do like we did: never return, even though this place was conveniently located just across the street of our AirBnb.

Decent menu (could do with more veggie options) and good deal with the sandwich option.I ordered an asparagus risotto...which was served without the asparagus!! And I also found a hair in my food.Won't be returning!

Work related trip to london. 2 meetings, with a couple of hours to pass inbetween. Had skipped breakfast so ready for a good lunch.Lots of places to eat in the areas but mostly Healthy light bites &amp; noodles. Found this pub and liked the look of the menu .Went in for lunch. Nice tradional pub with a modern stripped back feel. Wooden floors, tables benches and chairs.Good selection of meals, salads and light bites. I had the chicken &amp; advocado in rustic roll, colleague had haullume rainbow salad. All good freshly cooked/ prepared. Very good price. Good buzz to the place and wasn't too busy on a Wednesday lunch time. Would recomend this pub for a lunch time meal.

Not much great to say about this pub, it is quite pretty, although extremely busy on weekday evenings, so very loud inside, which means a lot of people end up standing outside, on the very limited street space. The bar staff could certainly do more to ingratiate themselves with their customers, for instance a wasp flew into my friend’s almost entirely full drink and the barmaid refused to replace it for her; given the amount of wastage pubs accrue from their beer taps, this could have been replaced very easily for a minimal cost to them, and would have been a much nicer touch than the way it was handled in this case.

We went in for a bite to eat at 1.30pm. The Angel has a sandwich with chips and drink for £9 meal deal. It seemed fair value for central London. We waited nearly 45 minutes for the sandwiches to arrive, I got mine and finished it before my colleague got hers. The staff did apologise and gave her a free drink to compensate. When it arrived she said her chicken and avocado sandwich was very nice. Her chips were also quote good. I had a steak and caramelised onion sandwich which fairly average and some small chips that were probably the small ones at the end of a bag - and not the same as my colleagues.

Exactly what we were looking for whilst wondering around London in the rain, ticked all the boxes! Would come again :-)

Crowded city drinkers pub. Plenty of lager and IPA to keep the lads tanked up. However, the bar staff are way too cool to actually manage the serving people bit. They are understaffed, but that doesn't stop them disappearing, polishing glasses and failing to notice the queue at the bar. You may die of thirst waiting.

What a canny little boozer with a great selection of drinks and some stunning decor. A warm friendly welcome was received when we turned up on Saturday lunchtime. A really lovely bar but just a shame there was no outside area to enjoy the sunshine.

As the title says, there have been Big changes since our last visit to the Angel, of old the Angel was a typical English oldie worldie pub,Now the Angel has had a complete refurbishment the old bar has gone and i now believe it is more of a foodie establishment with bright decor. Still we enjoyed a few drinks here.

Lovely place to enjoy cheese and wine on the way through to Shorditch. A relaxing pub with the odd stag do passing through. Just near old street roundabout. Beach volleyball girls and boys come here on Sunday after training at Shorditch park beach court on warm weekends.
