The Angel in Islington

He comido en cucharas de agua por todo el país y nunca he recibido un plato tan incomible como el que recibí en el ángel, hamburguesas quemadas de un centímetro de grosor y patatas fritas. . Esperaba con ansias mi primer viaje a las cucharas después del cierre, ahora pagaré más en otro lugar para no sentirme insultado por que me sirvan un plato no comestible. Ángel es un área cara, pero las cucharas de ángel claramente no pueden emplear a un cocinero adecuado para los platos que se sirven y claramente creen que sus clientes están por debajo de la mitad de una comida decente. . Me comeré una cáscara de plátano mohosa antes de volver allí. No me sorprendería que tuvieran un chimpancé amputado ciego cocinando su comida. . y estuve allí durante un momento muy tranquilo del día, sin excusas. . mi novia también retiró su hamburguesa de pollo flaca cuando dijo que sabía a goma tibia.

Gran valor para bebidas calientes aquí. ¿Por qué pagar 3 por una taza de café en las cadenas mundiales de café de marca cuando puede tener recargas gratis aquí por 1? 29Algunas fotos interesantes en las paredes que muestran la historia de la zona y cómo obtuvo su nombre.

Wow what a hell hole indeed the most depressing place I’ve ever been into in London truly a hole don’t do it save your money go elsewhere but the staff are nice and I do not know how

Very unfriendly manager, curt and surely with anyone over 40. Not a people person. You can expect to wait some time to be served as there is usually just one bar person. Often they haven't been trained beforehand to pull a pint so open the tap to the max and let the beer overflow for a few minutes until it calms down. What happened to tilting the glass and slowly filling to avoid overflow. JDW must waste loads of beer.

Great food. Good service. We used this location for our monopoly trail and had a much needed break. Great historical photos to look at while you wait.

Almuerzo ocupado los viernes por la tarde. El pub estaba muy ocupado pero logró encontrar un lugar donde sentarse y comer. La comida era normal pero tener bebida incluida lo hizo una buena relación calidad-precio. 8) 00 para ginebra rosa, hamburguesa y ensalada no puedes gemir demasiado. Es una pena que no tenían chips ni puré disponibles

Vine aquí para ponerme al día con algunos compañeros. El gerente del lugar creo que su nombre es mehow lo siento, no sé cómo se escribe. Pero acusé a mi amigo de mear en el pasillo porque una persona asiática se enojó allí. 1 esto es totalmente racista. 2 sin pruebas lo llamaron y 3 no ofrecieron una disculpa después de revisar las cámaras. Lo sentimos, pero esto no está bien y no entiendo cómo uno puede administrar un pub, especialmente una cadena tan conocida y confiable como las cucharas de agua. Siento que esta situación necesita ser examinada.

Visited today Saturday after a show nearby, the table was dirty and not cleaned I ordered the Scampi and the Turkey meal. The Scampi was so overcooked we sent the meal back and when the replacement arrived the chips were cold but felt we could not send it back again .The Turkey meal was not much better as the mash potatoes were dry the gravy had evaporated on the plate before the meal was brought out. The experience at this Weatherspoon spoilt the day for us.

Un amigo reservó una mesa para mi cumpleaños número 44 y cuando llegamos no había una mesa reservada para nosotros y cuando hablamos con un miembro del personal nos dijeron que las mesas no estaban reservadas los jueves por la noche debido a que estaba ocupado.¡Esto es absolutamente ridículo!

We called in for lunch, prior to a birthday party. The pub was clean, tidy and welcoming. Food was excellent, hot and served quick. Prices were amazing and the app worked amazingly as always.

Before getting a train home I visited this spoons. It was a lot cheaper than Barum vault at St Pancras. Bus took 5-10 minutes back to kings cross for £1.50. spoons was busy on a Friday afternoon in august . Receipts weren't working but the staff were happy to print a page out for me :) enjoyed the food good time

Very close to Angel station. Easy ordering via the app. Service was a bit slow but it was peak time on a Saturday night, so was understandable. Cheap and cheerful as per. One of the smaller Wetherspoons I've been to, but a good experience overall.

Hoy obtuve mi pinta habitual, luego fui a una de las tres máquinas (en fila) en la pared lateral del pub. Vi que (más tarde supe que su gerente, Josie) estaba tratando con una pareja que tenía un problema con la máquina de frutas del medio y ella estaba esperando que se reiniciara. Traté de llegar a la máquina final, pero vi que este equipaje para parejas estaba bloqueando el acceso y que la única forma de llegar allí era preguntarle a Josie si podía superarla. (Hay una fila de mesas pequeñas frente a las máquinas que están bloqueando el acceso) Le pregunté cortésmente a Josie si podía pasar a la tercera máquina. Sin hacer contacto visual o sin responder y después de unos segundos se alejó unos centímetros de la parte frontal de la máquina. Cuando pasé junto a ella, comenzó a quejarse de que había mucho espacio para llegar a la tercera máquina y que estaba tratando con una pareja. Ella dijo esto de una manera muy agresiva. Me sorprendió su reacción ante lo que consideraba una solicitud perfectamente educada. Tal vez ella no vio el equipaje, pero me sorprendió su reacción. ¿Parecía pensar que mi pedido era completamente irracional? ! Cuando llegué a la máquina, la mujer de la pareja se acercó y movió su equipaje, pues sabía que estaba bloqueando el acceso. Luego Josie se movió entre las dos máquinas para apagar la máquina del medio, mientras se levantaba, estaba poniendo mi pinta en la mesa lateral entre las máquinas y mi brazo la tocó brevemente. Su reacción fue gritar, ¡me empujaste, me empujaste! y me pidió que terminara mi pinta y me fuera. Lo cual hice. Puedo y beberé en otro lugar en el futuro

Was here last night for a drink with friends, have never experienced anything quite like it to be honest - and not in a good way. The manager was unacceptably rude to my friends and I. We ordered 4 drinks, one of which we were given was the wrong drink so I asked politely if we could have the correct drink instead. I was then rudely told that I would have to pay again for the correct drink - even though we did not want the original wrong drink. We didn't even necessarily mind paying again - it was the disgust and disdain we were treated with that was the issue. It was a loud bar and it would have been possible to have misheard one of the drinks order, however the blame was completely placed on us. It is honestly beyond belief how poorly we were treated, truly shocking behaviour. Will not be returning and recommend removing the manager stat or giving her some training on how to work in a customer facing role.

Went for lunch with work colleagues ordered chicken avocado wrap and salad was given a wrap with chips so sent it back stating order was incorrect then waited for it come back to then be given a chicken wrap with no avocado so sent it back again (note on an hour lunch break ) I approach to women who are working there and ask for a manager after my third time of asking they respond and say I'm the manager I explain the situation and the managers first response is to put in a takeaway box I never stated I was leaving and explained so I was then rudely told what do you want then I stated I was not happy and expect a free drink as why should I pay for another one because I'm now in there longer. I was given one then I receive my food only half my wrap is correct the other half is just chicken I eat it because now it's too late for me to send it back for a third time the manager walks past i inform her of the situation she then decides to patronise me and explain to me a wrap is like a burrito and not every spoons serves food the same I tell her I find her tone patronising and know what a wrap is but expect fillings in both halves she then tells me I'm rude ! I ask why because I have pointed out her rudeness and unhelpful behaviour I told her I had to ask for manager 3 times she stated first time she didnt hear me so the second and third time you just ignored me ??

Never been here before. When we visited it was moderately busy for a Friday Afternoon. My husband requested the beer I wanted while I went to get a table. When he arrived at the table, he had the wrong beer and the glass was filthy. I went to the bar and this item was changed and I also got a new glass. Overall, not happy and surrounding a bit manky.

We were the first customers at 8am placing our order or porridge with brown sugar and blueberries and coffee. They guys after us got their full English breakfast before we got our porridge. 8:21 (exactly 19 minutes after placing the order and paying for it) we got two bowls of totally raw oats, just with some warm milk poured over it. No hint of the brown sugar. So, we ended up eating only the 8 blueberries each.

Service a bit slow cause they're pretty busy, but the value is great - I tried the new Twickenham Ales 'Wolf of the Woods' bitter 4.7% and it was fab. And only £2.49 a pint.

Solo paré de desayunar en el Ángel para descubrir que no tenían tazas para el café y que tenía que enviar a un miembro del personal a comprar más, no el mejor ya que una vez que llegaron las tazas había una gran cola para el té y Terminé con un desayuno frío.

Fuimos para el desayuno antes del evento de negocios, la comida estaba caliente y mal cocinada con frijoles, degustación de vinagre y salchicha alegre. Se quejó en el bar y recibió una respuesta segura del gerente que estaba ofreciendo un reacio si debía reembolsarlo. Como cucharas y era diferente tener una experiencia tan pobre.

This Wetherspoons is the same as many others busy but with good service. The Pizza and pint deal was very good value and the pizza was served promptly and was good quality.

London maybe expensive but there is always a wetherspoons nearby,, good size pub, plenty of room, good old fashioned pub grub from breakfast to evening.

Midweek evening, the place was heaving and because it's smallish the noise seemed to echo around the place, anyway we managed to get the last table, long queue to order and then told they have no fish, so ordered an alternative and went to the table with drinks. I did later join the queue for more drinks but gave up. Food was fine, standard Spoons grub and cheap of course. Been in far better Wetherspoons pubs.

Waited about an hour to get our party of seven's food only to be told mine wasn't available, as the ham had run out, whilst the other meals were being served. The duty manager couldn't care less. Wouldn't even offer me an upgraded beer worth a few pence. Was later told after sending a complaint to head office that a delivery hadn't arrived. Obviously should have been known at time of order. Later offered a free meal at the angel which is a fat load of good as I don't live near london. Never experienced such bad service before.

Meeting a friend down from Liverpool for a work meeting, my Wetherspoons app told me this was the nearest Wetherspoons pub. I've walked past here many times but never been in.

One of my favourite places to try out new beers. They work with CAMRA on new beers. You can always try the beer before you buy it. Food is usually good. Not haute cuisine. Sometimes too crowded. Great for beer plus snack.

Called here Tuesday lunchtime, tables not very clean, my ribs arrived lukewarm & the couple on table 12 handed back the lamb shank as it was still frozen in the middle Dunno if I’d eat here again

As we arrived at lunch time on a Sunday ,all table was dirty and not cleaned ,the drinks we ordered was running out and the service was poor apart from one guy .

We popped in for one but stayed for more. Decent prices and a good variety of wine and craft beer available.

I called here at lunchtime along with a friend of mine, and apart from the bar staff who did not have a clue what they were doing it was fine. Food was great, beer was great, prices were great.

Great value and service here, I always get a latte before work, and its very good, prices are great for beer too though its a very busy place all the time so its generally crowded and a bit noisy ..... but still good to visit

The staff at The Angel are always pleasant and helpful. They check to see that you are satisfied with your meal after serving, and they keep you informed should there be any delay. The breakfast menu is excellent value, and has scrambled eggs, which not all Wetherspoon's do. The Angel has a relatively small seating area, but is an enjoyable and relaxing place to sit, read, eat, or simply enjoy your pint. They also have a delicious range of craft beers such as Tailgate Peanut Butter Milk Stout.

Met up with a friend during the day for coffee which was pleasant enough. However any time later on in the day it gets really busy and loud, as many Weatherspoons are. It's what can be expected from a Weatherspoons.

Ordené el desayuno grande y lo disfruté hasta que la señora sentada en la mesa junto a nosotros encontró un pelo en el desayuno y ella es una empleada. . . hmmm me sacó de mi desayuno. Era el desayuno típico de Wetherspoon. . gran valor. En ese momento, la máquina de café estaba rota, pero se arreglaba cuando nos íbamos. El gerente fue un poco corto pero fue temprano. Llegué justo después de abrir y no estaba ocupado, aunque había mucha gente ocupada en la calle fuera del pub. Le hubiera dado al pub un 4 estrellas excepto por el pelo en la saga de comida.

I pub della catena Wetherspoon si distinguono dagli altri per diversi motivi: 1) Sono fra i pochissimi che espongono i prezzi delle birre alla spina, non di tutte, ma di parecchie... misteriosamente in quasi tutti i pub di Londra scopri quanto costa la birra al momento di pagare! (la Hop House 13 Lager l'ho trovata buonissima). 2) Hanno pure qualche birra sotto i 3 pounds per pinta. 3) Hanno un menù con più dei soliti 4 piatti e una cucina un po' più assortita, aperta fino a tardi (anche pizza e pasta, che però non abbiamo provato). Tutto buono, i burgers, le grigliate miste, il lamb shank (stinco d'agnello), esclusi i Teriyaki noodles che ho trovato un po' insulsi... errore mio, non era il locale dove ordinarli! 4) Fanno diverse offerte "club deals" del giorno o combinazioni con piatti che includono una pinta di birra, ad es.: burger di manzo 6oz. + chips e una pinta £6,85. Mixed grill con contorno + pinta £11,19. 5) hanno il caffè Lavazza. 6) Si può scaricare la app con cui ordinare anziché andare al bancone, valida per tutti i pub della catena.

Nice and handy for The Angel underground station. White Riot on draft, plus a biscuit flavoured lager! It was ok too. A great choice of beers, a friendly staff and a good atmosphere too. Well worth a visit

I was staying at Kings Cross and googled the local Wetherspoons as I fancied a breakfast brunch. It was a lovely pleasant walk, 15-20 minutes along the Pentonville Road, quite easy to find. As it was past midday I had missed the breakfast but brunch available. I’m on a healthy eating plan and never found difficulty in choosing something relatively healthy and, I asked the chap serving, whether I could have steak, poached eggs and replace chips. He immediately said he would go to the kitchen to ask if I could have poached eggs. Whilst he was away a lady arrived asking whether I needed to be served so I explained I was awaiting an answer from the chef, she seemed like she was a manager/supervisor and immediately said it would be ok so imagine my disappointment and her embarrassment when the answer came back no! By this time I had not only lost my place in the queue but my table too and had to make another choice. By the time I had chosen again a lovely server called Sherise had offered to serve me, she said I could swap things around and thanks to her I ordered sirloin steak, beans and salad, she was very sympathetic to my diet bless her, such a helpful and polite young lady. Finally I paid and found another table. The food was excellent, the steak, medium rare was cooked to perfection. Staff were attentive asking whether all was ok.. I really like this place, it was not really busy though. I finished my meal and took a lovely walk back to my hotel at Kings Cross, picked up my case and headed to Paddington on my way home. Thank you to all the staff but sort out ‘poached egg gate’ please! Special thanks to Sherise.. what a lovely lady!

After the Theatre, we arranged to meet family for a drink and a meal. We arrived about 6pm and to our surprise, there was plenty of seat. Overall we enjoyed a drink and the pleasant surrounding of the bar. Their a fair size menu to choose from. Although we didn't eat here, I would in the future if we were there again. The staff served with a smile and were attentive' We found it as a great location to meet our family, just accross from the tube.

I am not against Weatherspoons in principle and actually really like some of their branches, but my visit to this site on 10 July was comedy of errors display! They try to have a modern winebar look and the barman walks around with a walky talky & headset, but what happened to old fashioned efficiency & common sense?

No pude utilizar el cubículo en el inodoro desde las 3pm hasta que salimos a las 5:00 pm debido a que alguien de haber reventado. Esto causó malestar a mí y a otras personas en mi grupo y yo no puedo ver por qué tardaron más de dos horas (he dejado el Pub a 5) para ser limpiado, a pesar de ser denunciados a personal. No recomiendo este pub

Located in front of the tube station, this is a real English pub properly climatized and with delicious food. Price are very competitive. Totally recommended!

Me & my partner visited on Saturday while waiting for friends. The pub wasn't that busy but the bar staff was super slow! It took two members of staff to serve one person - bar staff look lost and confused. They had a special 'Gin cocktail' day which i can only assume was why. I had the 'unicorn gin' 3 times yet every time the barman served me he had no idea what was in it & i had to tell him! Ordered some food and it was ok - what you expect in a weatherspoons. Have been to lots of weatherspoons and the bar staff are defiantly letting it down other wise could be nice pub.

Pour 3 £ 50 le 'traditional breakfast' est copieux et bon : 'rapée', saucisse, haricot, tomate oeuf bacon toast jus de fruit et café à volonté...de quoi tenir la journée pour un prix très avantageux.

If you go here download the Wearherspoons app. With the app on board you dont need to interact with the bar, just plug in whst you want, pay by your phone and avoid all the detritus that these places seem to attract.

I came with a group of friends after going to Dinerama, before going to a club and just wanted one drink there. I had forgotten my ID but I am about to turn 29, so with evidence of my passport on my phone I thought it was common sense to serve me. The doormen let me in after talking, which I appreciated, but when I went to get a drink for my friend on crutches, I was asked for ID again (appeared to be the manager now) and was refused being served. Some of my friends had already got drinks and were told to hurry up as we all had to leave. I understand there’s a challenge 25 policy, but common sense would have said I was old enough to drink as it has been a decade since I turned 18! I even have some grey hairs coming through. Apparently she told my dad that I looked under 18 (he called up, I didn’t ask him to...!) It’s so subjective, and just seems silly to cause such a fuss when I was clearly over the legal age for drinking with my photo of my passport. Anyway, we had a much better time at The Nag’s Head and then at Islington Academy, so it worked out okay - just a shame that the rain that day wasn’t the only dampener!

My daughter was refused serving when celebrating her 29th birthday. She had a photo of her passport. I called to explain. Manageress was very rude. Asked for her name and she refused saying it was data protection and didn’t want to give her name. Then put the phone down on me.

Pasamos un fin de semana en Londres la semana pasada y comimos en el pub la mayoría del tiempo. Tanto los desayunos y cenas (Pierna de cordero con patatas fritas y pollo barbacoa liberar) era caliente, sabroso y con buena relación calidad-precio. Estaba en el temprano Sherise turnos. Ella nos saludó con una sonrisa y nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos; nuestro agradecimiento especial a ella. Además, Mo de el personal de la planta, era una estrella, realmente funcionó sus calcetines. Volveremos la próxima vez que estemos en la zona.

Ordered a simple wrap and the waitress refused to deliver it to the table, quoting she didn't believe the food was for me, even though I offered to show a receipt.

After having taken a wrong turn from Old Street tube station and walked most of the Monopoly board I came to this place. I asked the security man for directions and he kindly suggested that I speak to the female staff member (manager?) who searched the hotels directions on Google for me. Thank you very much, I am very grateful and hopefully I will return in the future for a drink (or two) as the atmosphere and décor of the pub seemed very good. Very polite staff. (As I was leaving security needed to deal with an incident that I felt was handled well)

Quick weekend visit to London stopping midway between stops and a desire for quick food and a drink we popped into the Wetherspoons at the Angel. Whilst not looking too busy the noise level was very high but as it was a Friday night it had to be expected. Usual low cost good value drinks and food. Staff were very busy but brilliant. Worked the queue great and were quick and very polite and cheerful. Food arrived quickly and was the usual average but acceptable standard. Surprised to receive an inclusive free drink with the chilli dog, saving even more money. Only Three stars due to the place being a bit dirty and the loos smelly. Had the property been in a better state the score would be five stars as the staff were definitely the stars of the night.

The pub was very busy when we arrived and although you know what you're getting at a Wetherspoons - good value for money, the food was a bit disappointing, I ordered chilli which looked crusty around the edges, as if it had been plated up for a long time, my sister had a chilli dog and the bread was stale, my partner had chicken goujons that were a bit dry and hard.The pub was very loud and a lot of people were shouting loudly, but the staff were really good, helpful and friendly, which is why I've given it 3 out of 5, as the food was not good enough.

Not sure how long ago this was furnished but it looked very new. All the usual Wetherspoons attributes, great prices on food and drink, also a good selection. Not far from the underground.

This Wetherspoons ran very smoothly when we visited. Bar service was quick, food came quickly with friendly service. Even the toilets were clean. I liked that there was a range of seating as well (stools, booths, tables and chairs); I sometimes find pubs do their best to find the most difficult chairs to actually sit on, but not this one.

We came here as a group before a night out for my birthday. One of the boys put chewing gum on the floor, (which was disgusting and I don't condone his behaviour at all) and when confronted by the waitress clearing glasses he apologised and tried to pick it up. She stood there for 5 minutes saying how unacceptable it was and then left. I went to the bar to buy a drink and they said there were not serving any of our table, even though I explained the rest of us had absolutely nothing to do with it, but they refused. A few minutes later the bouncer told us all to leave and wouldn't let us finish our drinks.I think this is appalling treatment of customers. Only this one member of the group should have been not served/asked to leave! It put a huge dampener on my birthday night out. Won't be coming here again.

Wonderful atmosphere and amazing deals in Wetherspoon's Angel located in Islington, London. Huge selection of drinks. If you have a meal, every day there is a different deal. For example, on Fridays you may eat fish and chips for 6.40 £ (with soft drink) or 7.40 £ (with alcoholic drink). I will definitely go back.

Wir waren dort zum Mittagessen. Das Essen war gut, der Service sehr freundlich und das Ambiente war das eines typischen Pubs in England. Ich denke mal abends wird dort gut was los sein und zum Bier trinken ist die Kneipe sicherlich auch empfehlenswert.Preis-Leistung war angemessen.

The Angel, Islington is more than a square on the London version of Monopoly! It is surrounded by a large variety of places to eat. Wetherspoon's 'The Angel' is one of their better places, which offers terrific value particularly if you are on a budget. The staff were attentive and friendly and one always knows that the food will be ,more than OK for the price. Service was quick and efficient. In a Wetherspoons you order at the bar and collect your drinks butfood is brought to your table. (Don't forget to check the table number etched on a small metal disc screwed to the table). Great for pre-theatre - Sadlers Wells is a five minute walk.

My friend and I were refused entry because we look Lgtbtqi alternative (I'm gay and punk). We have explicitly been told that their management has decided not to allow people like us inside. They told they always reject us people. Other alternative looking people were also refused at the same time as me. At the same time other "normal" looking people were allowed into the pub. We have made a formal complaint of discrimination to wetherspoon HQ but they have not responded at all. I feel extremely emotionally hurt by what they said and I will never forget this incident. I told the staff that it also already psychologically difficult to be gay and express myself in my looks as a rocker, but their decision has hurt me. I told them this reminds me of the segregation of black people, and that I hoped that we would not see discrimination again; however they continued rejecting us. This was my favourite pub but I am not allowed back again :-(

A lot smaller than most Wetherspoons but a nice atmosphere with, what seems to be a dedicated dining area which gives it a nice feel. Usual good range of beers and food, all at reasonable prices, considering its location. Nice pub to know,

Great place to kick start an evening! Really lively on a Friday evening, vast selection on drinks, and the atmosphere is really relaxed! Pricing for both food and drinks, are very reasonable.

We may have been unfortunate because we were here on a Saturday lunchtime, ducking a rain-shower. It was heaving full, and we were lucky to get a table. Good prices but no atmosphere. Just lots of people, drinking. Nothing to tempt us back.Notwithstanding, we want to compliment Allie. Her work rate in delivering meals, clearing tables, and dealing pleasantly with customers, was phenomenal. They are lucky to have her!

I popped in at lunch time, there were far more men than women and pub was busy. Staff was very friendly indeed. I ordered some food which came quickly and was really nice, hot and fresh. Signs everywhere to be careful not to leave your bags unguarded which is helpful but just freaked me out a little bit as I needed the loo and had a trolley. The loo was down some stairs so I ran and tried to come back quick for my trolley bag, which was luckily still there. Not the owners fault but the people there seemed a little bit rough. I would go back though as the staff was so friendly they created a really nice atmosphere and the food was very good for Wetherspoons standard.

but as a consequence very noisy so don't expect to come here for a quiet drink.one of the more expensive wetherspoons and also quite a small venue so perhaps better for drinks than having a mealstaff are efficient if not over friendly

Your usual bar and pub, but definitely worth the money! We bought 12 crispy onion rings for just under 2 quid! They have a wide range of drinks as well. Atmosphere is really chilled, but got crowded towards evening.

Called in here Sunday morning for breakfast. They also do a glutenfree breakfast. The server was very polite & helpful a Northern Ireland girl.The food was very good, it arrived hotAll five of us had no complaints.Would visit here again .

Waited for a long time for a table and eventually found a suitable table with plenty of lighting overhead as we would like to be able to see the menu clearly. Food ordered and delivered quickly. I had the skinny rump steak medium to well done and was very tasty with vegetables which was good with 2 pots of sauces. This was in a deal with a list of selected drinks. Service was brisk and friendly and the whole place was heaving on a late Friday afternoon. Cannot go wrong with eating at Wetherspoons for a fairly decent meal at a fraction of the price.

Three of us had brunch here: it was great value as it included drinks: beer, wine, tea, coffee. I had steak, eggs and chips, others had burgers and chips. All yummy. You can order from your seat if you have the app. Waiters were efficient. There are also good deals on during the day - I suspect some folk may stay and eat there all day!

Hello, I'm french and I came to London for the week-end to see my girlfriend. We went to this bar for a drink. The manager told us to get out the way very rudely. We were asked our ID's and the same manager was very crossed as my girlfriend for not taking straight back the ID (she was answering a question to someone else that's why).The manager got crazy and literraly put the id to my girlfriend's face saying "hello ? hello ? i'm here". We told the manager nicely to be a little bit nicer. The manager answered "Ok, i'm not serving you." then left. We decided to leave and go to the pub near it, called the Harlequin pub.To summarize, horrible staff and worst experience I have ever had in London.

good value drinks but unusual clientele on a Sunday afternoon. Lots of people on their own and not much atmosphere

Popped in on a Saturday with friends to start a pub crawl ....it was your typical Wetherspoons and the food was to the usual good standard.....problem was we had to wait a very long time for it to arrive Beer selection was OK but nothing to write home about.....staff were all friendly but the place did seem like it could do with a bit of a clean.All in all average

This is another wethespoon chain in Angel station, standard prices and cheap menu and drinks. I had a cappucino for breakfast, good taste and confy area inside.

Met some friends here for a drink. Easy to find, as it is close to Angel Tube. Not too big or crowded. Trendier decor than the usual Wetherspoons settings.Good ales and wines at reasonable prices.

The Angel is a great pub. It is very clean and, although quite modern, it still has a positive vibe that means it is an enjoyable place to eat and drink. The prices are better than you will find in most other pubs and it always seems quite busy, Tried breakfast for the first time at the weekens and was pleasantly surprised. A really good traditional breakfast for £3.15 was terrific value considering I have paid nearly £10 for the same elsewhere. I have visited The Angel several times recently and it has always delivered a good experience.

cant fault Wetherspoons breakfast, this location offer unlimted coffee till 12pm. however my beans was cold and the egg yolk was rock solid... other than that the establishment was a new weathersoon very modern and clean.

London has lots of Wetherspoons, many are way more expensive than usual but this one is a smashing little find. Each time we visit London we pop in, its 10 mins on the bus from our hotel and we've always had piping hot, tasty food here. Cocktails are cheap, food is decent and the staff are friendly. It feels like a local pub and its cosy.

I visited here with friends before going to the Crystal Maze, as it's just opposite Angel tube station and around the corner from the maze. However, upon entering The Angel it was clear there was some kind of hygiene issue; the area near the entrance smelled strongly of toilet and the area nearer the bar smelled - more disturbingly - of vomit. The food was average - it _is_ a wetherspoons - I suppose. The meals were hot and the burgers and chips were not unpleasant to eat. For the money, I suppose the food tasted ok, I just wish The Angel was a treat for the other senses.
