Lovely old pub. Some of my ancestors used it so had to pop in.

Best conditioned cask beer in Bicester. IMO.

Good pub, lovely staff and amazing pizza. Pretty good all round. Decent town pub, wish we lived nearer. Can’t emphasise how nice the staff were.

Great little pub, decent selection of drinks (gin especially) has a small inside area but deceptively big outside area. Plus a wood fired pizza area for fresh pizza! What not to love

On a stop off at the Travelodge on a road trip - Friday night. Heard about the beer and the Pizza Boys. The beer did not disappoint nor did the Pizza Boys - I love pizza cooking,ovens bit of a hobby and trying out pizza cooks. One of the best, freshest and tastiest pizzas I have ever had. Think the guys cooking the pizzas were a bit surprised\unsure when I came over and told them how good it was maybe thought I was after something. But pub worth a visit even without pizza if you like your real ale.

Good place for a drink and on Fridays and Wednesdays they have pizza too

Lovely little pub. Good local beer options that often charge along with normal options. A huge gin selection, 100+ with recommended mixers. Large outside bit around the back that gets lots of sun and perfect for an after work beer.

I love an old pub. I love an old building. This is both. You walk in and instantly feel comfortable. No food available.

The staff are polite and helpful in this pleasant little pub which has a massive outdoor space. The ales are lovely with a good choice and there are copious gins for the G&T fans. A good place to chat and meet new people.

Visited on Saturday , was lovely atmosphere with outta smoke. They had a lilys pineapple cider on which was really delicious, will defo be visiting again.

First and last time visit for me. Scrumpy advertised on tap however watched as the bar staff struggled to dispense from a random plastic bag tied to the tap (found out later this came out of a box) With the owner's help she freshly squeezed the remains from the bag into glasses .. not exactly ideal but happy that the owner found time to explain to me that this is how traditional cider is poured, apologies ... squeezed. Sadly it was very warm and the taste was vile meaning we were unable to drink them. When I asked if could exchange them I was told yes but i would still have to pay for the drinks. The very kind owner offered me a glass of ice to cool it down and explained while shouting across the bar that I had missed my oppertunity to complain and should have done so while she was squeezing out my drinks. Not the atmosphere you want when you have children with you. I am well aware of my rights as a consumer and had no obligation to pay for the drinks but to avoid any more issues I agreed to pay. The bar staff asked what we wanted to do with the drinks and we recommended the best place would be for them to be poured down the drain. I have never received such a poor standard of service, especially from what I assume was the manager. I would recommend if you enjoy a nice atmosphere and genuinely lovely customer service I would advise you avoid this place at all costs. Bicester has so many other pubs you can visit. Dont ruin your day.

If you’re looking for lazy Sunny afternoons sat in a beer garden on your own reading a book,with friends (human or canine) then this is the pub for you. Always a smiley face behind the bar who are genuinely happy to see you and knowledgeable about their beers. Great pub.

Fantastic pub. Brilliant staff and management. Great choice of ales which are forever changing. Quiz nights and good food on certain days I would definitely recommend the Pizzas. What more can I say marks out of 10 I’d give it 15. Plus Hannah is brilliant and runs a great team and pub.

Thoroughly recommend! Nice selection of drinks and a charming old school pub interior coupled with a decent amount of outdoor seating. Also excellent pizzas on Wed and Fri from the pizza boys installation at the back of the garden

Absolutely love the Angel! Hannah is a superstar. The best bit is that it is dog friendly! 🐶 A huge selection of drinks & banging regular third party food options (Outta the Smoke BBQ & Pizza) I also love the Quiz on a Tuesday & the Oktoberfest evening they held was superb 🍻The only pub to go to in Bicester!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Previously would have rated this place highly, but tonight was overcharged for 2 drinks. Should have realised when the barman pulled the card machine away so quickly so I wouldn't notice the charge.

Staff were very rude, and we were made to feel unwelcome. The young lady that seems to run the place but has zero customer service ability. They had also run out of lots of drinks. Will definitely avoid in the future, especially as Bicester has plenty of other lovely pubs to choose from.

A quality pub in Bicester. With a large outdoor area which is great in the sunshine. Friendly capable staff.

Great place for a party/get together. My only criticism is you couldn't hear the music as it was controlled in the bar.

Nice pub with great pizza place out the back

This absolutely beautiful old pub, situated in the heart of Bicester, is a superb way to end the afternoon (or indeed to start off the night!). A lot of its olde worlde character has been preserved, but has been brought up to date with a nice selection of drinks (gins in particular), and a nearby bottle shop. On quiet, sunny days, sat in the beer garden, surrounded by Cotswold stone walls, you'd be forgiven for thinking you were in the middle of the countryside!

Wonderful quiet pub. I've been in a few times now, sometimes with my nearly 2 year old and sometimes just with friends and partner. The first few times were not a great experience but after time that has certainly changed into being a pleasant experience, the female staff are extremely polite and have a great selections of gin which is great for this mum! 😂 There are no baby changing facilities but not all pubs have that option so it's not a disaster. As a parent you make do and worst case scenario you change venues or find somewhere to change them.

Very friendly staff and nice clean pub

Such a lovely little pub with a great selection of real ales, lager and gins. It isn't a chain so can be creative with drink offerings and is dog friendly. Has joined forces with a couple of local food offerings and does some fantastic wine and painting events.

Selection of taps wasn't great when I went in, and they don't have the bottle shop anymore so was a bit disappointed. Pints about £4 a pop.

Since moving to Bicester in the last couple of years I’m glad to have made this place my local! A lovely pub with a relaxing atmosphere! There’s always a warm welcome from the staff who make you feel comfortable even when popping in for a pint on your own. Great beer, great staff an all round great pub! 🍻

Nice pub, good beers and decent price

Not remotely friendly. I went to the Angel yesterday and really struggled with my 1 year old as they don't have highchairs (I know they outsource the kitchen however a baby or toddler isn't normally eating the food they offer anyway so still should have some) and then to add insult to injury I have to change my child on the ladies toilet floor as they do not have baby changing. In the short 2 hrs I was there (daytime and family time hrs) I saw 4 children and 3 babies so your clientele would require it and it costs next to nothing to install an on the wall changing unit. I have been a few times pre kids and it was great but with babies or kids I would AVOID until you want to change your child on a toilet floor.

A great pub with good beer. The best of Bicester.

Just a phenomenal pub. Always got a couple of great craft keg and cask beers on tap. Have food nights with really good pizza. Plus lovely staff. Can’t fault it.

This is such a lovely high end establishment with a solid gin collection and an understanding of pairings. Really lovely bar with wonderful land lady and team.

Great place to go for a drink, no loud music in fact no music, the way a traditional pub should be. The staff are brilliant and welcoming. Highly recommended if you are in Bicester.

Such a nice pub. Always a good selection of well kept ales, and in keeping with Sheep Street the prices are pretty good too! Nice fire, good selection of snacks, busy but not noisy.

Absolute dump. Paid £19 for a round of drinks. Made a phone call and my drink was removed. Asked where it was and it had been tipped away as it was unattended.

Nice spaces to sit in but unusually no food. Tea and cake only so depends what you are looking for. Good gin menu

Fantastic dog friendly pub. Lovely atmosphere, pleasant and funny staff (in particular the gentleman in the hoodie with the roses on the sleeve and the larger girl with the brown/blonde hair). Good playlist, delicious teas and coffees, great selection of beer. Fantastic pub, will definitely come again!

Went to Beer Festival, excellent afternoon.

Nice old school pub building made more modern and bright and open. Friendly staff, lots of people in there, but not too crowded. Lovely outside area out the back, which has it's own bar and proper seating area and a car park out back. When you enter you think it's an old pub then it sprawls open and you get to see the size of the place. Great place to take a group of friends in the summer or go with a date to.

Does food has a garden.. Does coffee and. Cake for £3.50...,dogs welcome

The staff in the Angel are very helpful and the pub is a lovely place to visit. I would certainly go there again and I would recommend to others also.
