Just been here for Sunday lunch. Had a very nice gluten-free dinner With 3 meats and veg. it was perfect. £7.95 even had a gluten-free beer for my consumption. 5stars from me. Very reasonable.

Was there this evening to catch up with my old friends. It was bike nite as is always on a Wednesday. Brilliant nite had be all. Great pub, great staff friendly atmosphere. And a huge carpark. What more would you want!!

Was down for the weekend from Worcester. Lovely little pub for roast and some drinks very friendly staff and people. Wish we had more pubs like this.

We stumbled upon this place while returning home and discovered they offer a Sunday dinner. The meal was delicious, the price was reasonable, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. However,ensure you input your reg number on the tablet at the bar, as there are evident signs outside indicating that the car park is reserved exclusively for customers.

It was brilliant . food were great I believe the sausages and burgers were from the local butchers . Father Christmas was fantastic he is real and played a great part . Free Christmas presents for all the kids . Staff and everyone really pleasant . Well done Woodhouse .

Good night in here good food And company and "The Unit" make for a good Wednesday night every week.

Had my mum's wake at The Angel. Not impressed. Paid a budget of £225 for buffet. Lucky if we had £50 worth. Sandwiches all on white bread, no brown. Cheap margarine and minimum filling. Cooked food was overcooked and very hard. Chips were edible. All food was cheap and not very appetising, the function room smelled fusty, the tables were old and needed some kind of covering. The carpet was so sticky in some areas that your shoes stuck to them. We had to wait for over an hour for our buffet to be laid out. The toilets were less than desirable, old split foam seat in the ladies no seat in gents. Paid £330 in all, plus a refundable £50 deposit. We were refused the deposit refunded until we returned the foil trays we had taken some food on, we had old trays, so they were obviously reused, not hygienic. Sorry for the rant, but it was beyond disappointing. Photo of a sample of the sweets were given.

Popped in this sat at 2.00 very very nice pub pity not many in but thought a really nice pub and had two pints of san miguel at silly cheap price and were bang on ..will start using this as my local nicest by far in wooshouse

Louise and the staff are great and are doing a really good job of trying to make something of this local. It's good to see that the effort is paying off, as it seems to be getting busier and busier over recent weeks, especially now that food is being offered. There always seems to be something going on, whether it be Jam night on Thursdays, disco/karaoke/singers at weekends, quiz and bingo on Tuesday's or biker night Wednesday. Whatever is going on, we always feel welcome and at home. In fact, I think our dog thinks it's our 2nd home 😂 As they say, use it or lose it!

Absolutely brilliant night, so much better than before, Absolutely packed out for past few nights I've been in, goes to show when busy it's definitely the place to be 👍

My sister had her wedding do here and it was a Great atmosphere from the moment we came in landlady even came and introduced herself and was so frendly as was all the staff was served basically straight away with drinks and the food was a good standard too lots of different choices for sandwiches and savery items and was plenty to go around,enjoyed by all! Thankyou again to all the staff at angel x

New landlady who goes up and beyond to help you, pub smells lovely and so clean, the landlady is friendly and down to earth, and the atmosphere and buzz in the pub is amazing, the entertainment she puts on is brill, and I truly hope she turns the pub round like she is trying so hard to do.

Dirty place!! food was shocking ,toilets disgusting, drinks was flat ,mucky glasses the list can go on ...even the staff looked mucky ..The place just stank fullstop.

Laughable, id go here if you’re looking to get absolutely rinsed…as soon as you walk in you’re greeted with a lovely smell. most drinks watered down and 1.5x price. £130 for a buffet and only had about £20 worth on the table(apparently went over budget and asked for more money lol) there was about 10 undercooked chicken legs that looked fresh out of the packet and one pizza cut into about 40 slices. Staff looked as bad as the pint glasses, absolutely loppy. Genuinely cant believe how someone can run an event that bad, madness. Glad i made it home

Went in for lunch for four, when the barmaid finally acknowledged us ( she didn't want to interrupt her phone call) she said no food today and carried on with her conversation, the other woman behind the bar looked at us and just looked away.

Garden needs attention. Had no ice for drinks in hot weather

I have not been in this pub for a long time, as it was a dive. It has been redecorated and no longer smells like it did. There was a group on tonight, and they were very good. The only shame about the pub was the absolutely vile coke on tap that they sell. I ordered a vodka and coke and left it as it was vile. This pub needs to put in some decent coke. Until it does my ftiends and myself won't be back in again.

When we went in, it was so quiet dirty, and although the website said it served food, we were told rather rudely that no food was being served and not for the foreseeable future. Kids were sat at the bar too.

First time I'd be in for a long time had a great night good beer and good company staff were lovely thanks 😊.

Brilliant place, loved the Sunday lunches

There's a nice friendly atmosphere at The Angel. Sunday roast and a pint for £10.95 was good value. Dining area is clean, light and spacious with pleasant views over the garden . The meat and vegetables were nicely prepared and hot. Dining room was full by 12.30 so obviously popular. Recommended.

Just attended a wake for my old workmate very good choice of drinks. The buffet was 1st class, excellant presented very friendly staff & ample parking. I recommend it and shall return👍

Such a shame cos it's a nice big pub with a big beer gardens for the summer and yet the landlords have killed it over ther years and the lager is like poison to drink.. avoid like the plague if I was you :(

Large car park, friendly staff.

It's massive in side with its 4 big rooms. But it needs money spending on it in side and out. They might have more foot fall if they did food. Shame to let a local pub go down.

Went to a wake there the food was excellent although I felt drinks were a little expensive

Absolute fab night last night for the kids Halloween party. Well done to Trev, Nats and all the bar staff. The pub was trimned up brilliant for the occasion. Looked liked all the kids had a great time. 👍👍👍

Beer flat, bar tender was on the phone whilst we were waiting for drinks, a tad ignorant.

Great place and it allows dogs and the owner even brought a bowl of water for my pooch. Good drinks not a bad price

Shocking service tried 4 times to take my family in to eat , and haven't eaten in there. The last time my wife and I tried it was 12.30 on a Sunday and was told they had run out of food . . . There was hardly anyone in the place !!!!!!!!

Hi, This is the first time i have ever wrote a review, But i really think that this pub deserves one A group of four of us had sunday lunch there on the 17th June 2012 and i must say that the food was really good, Perfectly cooked home made sunday lunch, the beef melted in your mouth and every thing was cooked very nice and only £5, We had gone to a popular pub the week before near Ridgeway and paid almost double this and to be honest the Angel was much much better, The Angel is also really clean and the staff are very nice and helpful, We shall definitely be going again, Lovely !!
