THE ANCHOR in Lewisham

Love it old style London pub no frills. Everyone made to feel welcome, including pets. Afternoon, drink just a few locals in playing pool and having the crack. Outside seating area to the back of the pub. Will call in next time I'm in the area.

Great place we just arrived from Australia and looking for a pub to have a few drinks as our accommodation check in was hours away the staff and locals were very friendly and welcoming I will be recommending this place to all our Aussie and Kiwi mate's to stop in have a beer talk to the locals and bar staff very helpful tips on how to get around London

Best local you could ask for, Friday nights are always such a laugh with the regular karaoke and they also have amazing charity events and different focused nights! The staff and regulars make this place! Always feel so welcomed and feel like part of the Anchor Family ❤️ All in all, a great place to be!

A "JACK THE LAD " happy go lucky Local pub !! You'll get a real example of working class life here which we seem of have lost in London. Nothing fancy nothing woke! Very active, yet friendly and notable place with humble everyday people mainly from the local area , no ale on draft and my Guinness served in a John Smiths glass! Still on whole a nice place to sit and enjoy a few drinks..bearing in mind this is a small local business it still worth popping in ... Still you soon

I didnt have the chance to get any food as I was there late. Great atmosphere, good friendly staff and locals made me feel welcome. Good prices on the drinks too.

Popped in yesterday while out walking, real nice little local pub, guy behind the bar was friendly as were the other customers. And one of the cheapest pints in London. Will be back for sure.

Coca-Cola was a cheaper alternative that was sold under the ruse of the well-known main brand. And they were selling fosters out of the carling pump. And there regulars were served before I was even though I was patiently waiting.Very dissatisfied with service. I was made to feel unwanted

A very nice pub with warm locals. Seems like a great place for the local regulars to hang out and drink with majority of people within already on a first name basis and welcoming new faces to the conversation or establishment. The price of drinks shocked me for being so affordable, and the decor is quite homely and settling.

An absolute gem of a pub! I've been a Karaoke Dj host for the last 20 years and have worked in plenty of establishments but by far this pub is 100% the best I've ever worked in. The best people that you could ever wish to meet and in less than a year of me working there they feel like family. Great crowds, great atmosphere, the best management and bar staff - so friendly, welcoming & brilliant music and karaoke (If I do say so myself lol) If you've googled this pub to see if it's worth a visit..the answer is yes ! You won't be disappointed.

I first went to the lewisham anchor on my birthday 4 years ago with some friends not knowing anyone I was a little Cautious . But I can Honestly say everyone made me feel so welcome. That I would even go on my own now for a night out as everyone is like family in there . I wouldn’t go anywhere else always have a good night thank you all for making me feel so welcome. Would 100% Recommend this pub to anyone for a night out thank you lewisham anchor

Last Thusday was my first trip to the Anchor. I hope to be playing darts for the pub in the winter league as a close friend is in the team. I honestly felt like I had been transported back 20 years to where pubs were pubs and not woke sanctuaries. Brilliant proper pub. Keep it up. There are so very few left.👍👍👍👍

Lovely pub.. very inclusive and welcoming. Everyone talks to everyone and includes each other. Shows football, pool table, darts and a garden at the back. Very reasonably priced, too. 🥰

What an amazing pub, the owners and bar staff make you fell so welcome. The event nights are great, most recently is Halloween were most people dressed up and sang karaoke with everyone singing along.

A good little pub with a good range of drinks at a fair price, a DJ & karaoke at weekends ķeeps the place busy. Good staff and happy customers

This place is unique ,is a gem,what ever you sexualité IS ,no problem, the staff are fantastic .The clientele fab,save and secure open until late 2pm.COME AND HAVE A GOOD FUN.

This venue is, in my opinion, one of the most welcoming pubs in Lewisham. Always well attended, but not 'ram packed' on a typical weekend, The Anchor is full of mostly regular customers. As someone who goes maybe 4-5 times a year, I always feel welcome and get chatting and laughing with the other patrons and staff. Only been on a Friday & Saturday night and there is entertainment including karaoke and DJ's and believe me and it's hard not to dance after a few pints as they make you feel very welcome.

The anchor is definitely my favourite bar for pool, down to earth patrons, cheap drinks and awesome staff. They play great music and everyone feels at home there. Outside area is really nice too. Overall not a fancy place but a humble gem in Lewisham 🙌🎉🌟

Comfortable surroundings with good music and the beer garden was very nice in the night time heat. Would visit again and it was easy enough to get transport home at the end of the night. There's a pool table there too!

This is one big happy family everyone has a Thing song there are some good people and there are some bad people but all of them give a good thing song I'll have it so please come and have fun at the Anchor it is great atmosphere

It's not bad. It's a fairly tight group of people going in there regularly who ain't that welcoming to newbies. The staff are excellent however and the look and vibe inside is definitely worth giving it a pop

A good basic pub. Well looked after Guiness. The biggest downside is that they don't have any proper bitter (just John Smith's Smoothe - yuk). Several TV's, Sky Sports so a the main sports events available.

Great Pub land lady Lisa is a diamond good beer and the locals are a friendly bunch of people.Been there a few times good entertainment Friday was a karaoke nite was a good laugh the next time was a bad very good and beer is cheap open till 1am I think bar staff were funny and friendly reccomend it for a few beers and a laugh
