Had the bottomless brunch today, was amazing and Jason was super attentive with service the best knowledge of the menu and helpful with cocktails. Friendly and fun atmosphere great value! Defo had our money worth in many many cocktails lol would recommend 👌

The food and drinks were good as always in the Alchemist. The service was fantastic here. My phone suddenly died and the manager Jono gave me his portable phone charger which saved the day! He was a legend and the staff couldn't have been friendlier.

A large selection of drinks on offer, I had Brixton pale ale, which is a fragrant and slightly hoppy beer (fantastic). The food was fresh and tasty, and the service was fabulous. Our server was Jason, who was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. A great place to eat and drink.

Fancy nice cocktails with a bit of wow effect than this is the right place. The Alchemist is a chain of cocktail bars serving magical cocktails and this location is their largest so far. There are plenty of seats inside but on nice warm summer nights you can also enjoy your cocktails outdoors. This branch also serves food like burgers, fajitas, steaks and more so you can enjoy a meal with your drinks. Service is pretty good and cocktails are great.

Popped in for a light lunch today, the place is beautifully set, the bar and waiting team are great and the food and drinks are superb. Most definitely recommend

My son and I were overwhelmed by the warm welcome and prompt service from Henna and colleagues while visiting today. The food was excellent (smashed potato & egg with kimchi green sauce, spinach etc for me, French dip steak sandwich for him) but it was the friendliness of the staff that created such a lovely atmosphere and put us at ease so we could enjoy our visit. Thank you!

I loved it. Went for my daughters birthday. The drinks were cool ( she had a colour changing one) food was lovely, not over priced at all. I enjoyed the music. The only thing I was disappointed with is that we couldn't seem to leave a tip for our amazing waiter Jason. ( unless we missed it and the payment part) so take some cash with you. Jason was amazing, very helpful very knowledgeable knew the menu inside out gave us recommendations and suggestions and he was super friendly and also took my allergy very seriously. Go there ASAP.. ask for Jason ( I'm sure the rest are just as good )

What can I say, The Alchemist food and drinks are always on point, not only that, the service was amazing too, got served by a young gentleman called Xandra, what a amazing guy, I asked him about the contents of the food, he wasn't too sure and then got back to me with great information, if it was anyone else, they would not have bothered, what a lovely guy, had an amazing smile, he is an absolute credit to your restaurant, the food was also really nice, freshly cooked, will definitely be coming again due to amazing staff and great food.

We came here at 11 o’clock and the staff told us this is the last order so she asked us to order more! The drinks came to the table on a quarter pass 11, the funny thing is the manager came to us have to leave in 15 mins coz they gonna close on 11:30, it was so ridiculous! We trying to argue but the manager said I will call police if you won’t leave at 11:30! They took all drinks at 11:30 even we did not finish it!

The Alchemist was incredible. We had a busy day of touring and wanted to chill somewhere near our AirBnB flat. Couldn’t be happier with this choice. Bartender performed some magical chemistry on 4 cocktails and we had the edamame. Pipe Dream, Red Zombie, Bubblebath and color changer. Would love to try more cocktails!

Food great, service super but whole evening spoiled by th background music that was so loud we could not hold a conversation without shouting. Asked for it to be turned down bur staff said it could not be done. Pity because everything was great but I will not be returning. George

We popped in for a glass of wine before a dinner reservation. The staff were so wonderful we were easily convinced to come back for a cocktail after our meal. Great service, gorgeous bar and fun cocktails!

I recently visited Alchemist Bar and Restaurant (Battersea) on Sunday, 19th May, to celebrate a friend's birthday, and the experience was absolutely dreadful. From the moment we arrived at 7:30 PM, the staff were incredibly rude, displaying sarcastic attitudes and blatantly ignoring our group of 16. Despite having a reservation, we didn't receive our drinks until 8:15 PM, and our starters didn't arrive until 9:00 PM. To make matters worse, our main courses only arrived at 9:30 PM, after an agonisingly long wait. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the poor service throughout the night. The main course I ordered was poorly made, and after waiting so long, I refused to pay for it. When I voiced my dissatisfaction, the waiter became visibly upset. As someone who works in hospitality, I tried to explain that this was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Shockingly, the waiter began to aggressively question me about where I worked, threatening to come to my workplace. This kind of behaviour is utterly unacceptable and beyond unprofessional. Given that this was a special occasion with a bill totalling nearly £700, I expected far better treatment and service. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as no customer should ever be subjected to such hostility and incompetence. This experience has ensured that I will never return to Alchemist Bar and Restaurant, and I will be advising others to avoid it as well.

Service here was amazing. We went in just for drinks but ended up getting some chips. The waiters and waitresses were all great and as were the managers

Service is very hit or miss, depending on who’s serving you. Also if you’re sitting outside they forget about you. Anyways food is always amazing and so is the drinks. Some of the staff needs more training, then it’s 5 stars :)

Didn’t eat this morning but had hot drinks to shelter from the rain whilst waiting for my daughter. Lovely service, lovely drinks and I would have eaten here too but we had to go closer to train station to be sure to catch our train home. Will visit again.

I would review the breakfast food but it’s taking so long to get here I’ll end up reviewing dinner at this rate. Never seen so many staff look so busy but achieve so very little. Ooh, food finally here so I’ll give that a 3 star as managed to get it warmish

I visited with some friends hoping to enjoy their bottomless brunch, but unfortunately, it was a letdown. Let me begin with the only positive aspect: the drinks were decent. However, they took forever to arrive, and half of them tasted awful. The food options were extremely limited, and even when they finally arrived, they were disappointing. Most of what we wanted from the menu wasn't available. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place for brunch at all! Additionally, I observed the manager shouting and swearing at the staff, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. I asked our waitress about it, and she confirmed that this was a common occurrence. Despite asking multiple times, we received inconsistent responses regarding when our brunch time would be over. One staff member even said, "I don't really want to ask because I don't want to get shouted at."

I returned to this place in my time in town for its service, food quality, cleanliness, and safe, quiet location. I recommend 100%.

I had my 20th birthday dinner here! Beautiful beautiful location. Even the gardens outside allow a wonderful area to roam around after dinner and drinks. Jason was our server - he was an absolute sweetheart! Thank you very much to him for helping us through the night (We were a table of 11 so I know it can’t have been easy). Food was amazing and drinks even more so! We had a wonderful time, thank you for the special evening. Oh and I recommend the French kiss drink for a little drama and fun if you have a sweet tooth like me :)

went 2 days ago with a friend for an early dinner, and was really pleased with the service and food. I’d give the food a solid 9/10. On the other hand I’d give the overall experience a 10/10, because of our waiter Jason. I confidently say that I haven't had had a waiter this good and so dedicated to make everyone feel so welcome. It was the highlight of my time at the Alchemist. I will definitely be coming back.

Really had a blast - been here on my birthday and I absolutely loved: the service, atmosphere and of course, the fabulous cocktails! I’m a bit embarrassed I am struggling to remember the gent that was serving us for the whole time, he was absolutely the definition of going over and beyond - this happened on Saturday 23 March around 2pm (it was 6 of us). I would love him to know that he has made our day and made the overall experience 5/5 stars! Will be back.

Went in to use the loo and ended up having breakfast! « Jason » the nicest person I’ve ever met in the Uk so far, told me not to worry about using the toilet without ordering food as most places require you to be a customer. I had a latte with oat milk and it was rich and well made. The food was fine but the service was immaculate. You should always tip « Jason » and management should give him a raise.

Honestly the best spicy margarita I’ve ever had! We sat at the bar and enjoyed few cocktails and nibbles ! The bartender Troy was absolutely fantastic!! Great service, super friendly and made us delish cocktails!!! Defo going back there to try more food and drinks ! Highly recommend!!!

Stopped for brunch and a coffee before a meeting nearby. Excellent quality healthy food, beautifully presented. Service was friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Excellent coffee and beautiful decor. Our daughter was astonished that I was messaging her from The Alchemist - she says she's never managed to get inside for cocktails! So I gained a little street cred along the way. Great place to meet friends for business or pleasure.

I booked the cocktail Masterclass for the end of February for a hen party. It was simply one of the best things we as a group have ever done. As we were a large group, they catered to us very well. We made 2 drinks and got a free drink upon arrival which were amazing! The vibes were the best, I'm definitely booking this again with some friends. The "teacher" (I belive his name was Troy, sorry if I'm wrong) was pure vibes and defo made it better. Thank you so much for a fun time.

I was on a stroll and came across this place. Decided to come in an it was an absolute delight. Jason was so attentive and extremely welcoming and I was also taken care of by Anaya who was also amazing. They have a good number of vegan food options which was the reason I decided to come in also.

Came to Alchemist for drinks and snacks only. Relaxed vibe with comfortable seating. Jason looked after us really well, a brilliant waiter. He ensured our drinks were ordered and table cleared throughout our stay. We were really impressed with his enthusiasm, friendliness and assistance. We spent a few hours here but didn't really rushed or bothered at all - we'll be back!

It’s an amazing place , I loved the food 🤩

Visited with my partner and although the drinks were good, I think we were served by somebody who was new, she spilled drinks and dropped our food. Also didn’t do any of the usual theatre you get which is half the point of the venue. Food was also cold. Not the usual level of service received at Alchemist bars.

Had our works party here and was completely blown away by how amazing the staff were. Valentina and Anne Marie were assigned to us and their service was impeccable serving our every need with professionalism and importantly smiling the entire time. The positive attitude from all the staff permeates from the top from Ben who manages his team extremely well. I also have to mention the quality of the cocktails which were outstanding. Definitely worth a visit great job guys thanks for having us.

Spectacular, incredible food, I will definitely come back again

Had a very positive experience here on Saturday. We visited for the boundless brunch, the food options weren’t the best compared to other brunches but the food that we ordered was still nice. The cocktails are deffo the main attraction! Every cocktail was delicious (and strong!) and presented beautifully. Our server, Jason, was sooo lovely and really went above and beyond to make our visit great. All staff were friendly, polite and super helpful. Overall fabulous time and would deffo go back 😊

On a rainy day, I popped into The Alchemist while my girlfriend was at the U.S. embassy. Jason, the host, greeted me warmly and made my simple latte order feel special. His awesome service showed me that The Alchemist really cares about its customers. Even though I was just there for a quick drink, Jason's friendliness made a big difference. A great place, bright and airy with a nice decor and a relaxed atmosphere. We live nearby but didn’t realise it wasn’t just a bar so we came for brunch and the waitress was brilliant and the food lovely (and generously sized!). We’ll definitely come back

Very memorable drinks bar. They have a variety of interesting drinks with some effects. The bar is quite eye catching. The service was good and friendly and we felt welcome. The dishes have an Asian cushion slant and all very quite good. The tempura prawns were very nice. The churros were a bit disappointing.

Visited on 22nd Jan. Disappointed with the service to say the least. The place was nearly empty and the staff were not at all attentive to the customers that were present. While talking to your customers, look at them so that we don’t have to repeat ourselves 3 times. Myself and my partner spent couple of hours in there and it wasn’t up to the expectation that I had when I visited the Bevis Marks location. To top it all up, I got double charged for a round of cocktails that was already paid for by a different waiter. Get your staff to pay more attention to what is going on around your venue, rather than walking around with their hoods on..completely thuggish and unprofessional. The only reason for the second star, is that the Champagne was iced, and cocktails weren’t too bad. Be At One was a much better experience for both of us.

Absolutely loved it! Loved the whiskey cocktail, which was called Pipe Dream I think and excellent presentation. BBQ chicken board was great and the gyozas were great too. Jason really helped us and made sure we have a nice time, so kudos to him!!

We came in to shelter from the rain and could not have received a warmer welcome. Special mention goes to the lovely waiters Jason and Anaiya (sorry if I’ve spelt that wrong), who went out of their way to make us comfortable and were so kind to the young children I was with! The hot chocolates we had were so delicious too. Highly recommend!

As a cocktail bar, we have tried quite a good round of cocktails. It's all to do with the showmanship not the taste. Alcohol evapored from the smoke, left with juice. None of them practical and stomach warming. We are all disappointed as a group. We've booked the table from 4-6.30pm with confirmation. When some of us were late, the server told few of us we had to leave at 5.30pm (what?) Then later on they allowed us to stay until 6.15pm. (And they did not rush us to leave as the restaurant was not busy enough) the crispy chicken as a starter was nice but ordinary. Salt and pepper squid was disappointing. I've also ordered bang bang salad only found out its lectures, red cabbage and that's it. The dressing was good. Atmosphere of the restaurant is somewhat lacking. Service wasn't good neither. Disappointing and way over price. One drink I would recommend is Negroni. Very delicious. Simple and excellent.

Booked a table for 6 yesterday as it’s was birthday. arrived early was greeted and showed to my table our waiter Curtis was amazing!! He was very friendly detail to attention made sure we were having a great time. The restaurant itself is absolutely amazing!! Heard raving reviews and recommendations from friends colleagues and it did not disappoint, Thank you Alchemist Restaurant at Embassy Gardens and Curtis will definitely be back it’s my local area and favorite place 🙏🏾🥳😁🎂🎉😊

I have been there a few times with my grown children and husband. . Honestly, I am there just for the space. We were there for a special introduction meeting between friends. Chosen for its Menu out of the 3 choices along here by my friend. Drinks are below average, good for playing or showcase.. Not a place for people who want to talk because the music was so crazy loud! Food was disappointing for me. I had the BBQ chicken .. not the BBQ I had in mind..2 sour cream, avocado dip, some bread, coleslaw and fried onions with a slim piece of chicken breast on top..few grill lines on a hot plate. £17. A sizzling Chinese chicken is more exciting than this. The waitress was very helpful and polite. That was a plus, but why do they keep calling us "guys" ??? Every staff member does it?? It's really irritating. It's shocking to see so many 5* ratings. Not for people who have better taste or palette. It's fun food.

This is the place to be if you are ever near the US Embassy in Vauxhall. Unusually friendly staff for a London restaurant. The menu prices are v reasonable. I get coffees and lunches regularly there and enjoy the flying swimming pool scenes. I work at GOOD LAW just around the corner and never hesitate to take my clients there for coffees n lunches.

The staff was extremely lovely, welcoming and attentive! I’ve never experienced such level of attention and kindness. 100/10 would go again just for the level of the service!

What a lovely, lovely experience. I had to go to the American Embassy today 18th October 2023. My mother who had travelled with me was unable to enter the embassy with me. So, what to do ??? So she waited in The Alchemist for me. I joined her just a short time later. Waitress was very attentive and patient. We ordered our food which was perfect, the duck salad, very tasty, the desserts were mouth wateringly delicious and generous portions. Our food was brought to us after waiting no more than 10 minutes. There was nothing left on our plates, and we left with content tummies and a 😃 smile on our faces. I recommend this to anyone, without any hesitation and we will make a point to visit again next time we find ourselves in London. Thank you to the kind and friendly staff, they also made our experience enjoyable. 😊

Honestly, this review is very difficult to make as the restaurant has such high reviews already. This will seem unbelievable. However there is a female manager with black shorthair who has given me the most disgusting service I have ever experienced in my life me and a group of girls were barred from the alchemist because we didn’t want to pay service charge actually not that we didn’t want to pay it just that we wanted to give our own amount of service charge. She continue to call us liars And say that we were banned from the alchemist and how we were con artists because we didn’t want to leave a £31 tip. Instead we decided that we would give £5 per person and there was five of us at the table. She then proceeded to beg and beg for tips. This tip is absolutely optional. I know this because I’ve worked in hospitality service and I told her this she continued to be rude, aggressive And disrespectful, and if I’m being honest, I believe we were racially profiled because no other group of Guests had to deal with this behaviour we still ended up leaving a service charge. However we don’t tolerate this type of behaviour to be humiliated this way and kicked out of a restaurant after I’ve paid my bill is ridiculous. I will be going back there and she will see my face again and she’ll have to explain to me why she barred me because I’m not going to stay barred when I’ve paid for my meal and drinks I can go anywhere I want I pay for my mum, like I said she is a white manager with black shorthair female do not trust her. She will be nice to you in hopes that you will pay the service charge then when you don’t, she will kick you out and act like you’re banned from the alchemist other than that the food and drinks were delicious . She literally walked us out of the restaurant like it was so embarrassing she actually beds and pleaded and told us that we were awful people because we didn’t leave a tip for the chef and the waitresses were the chef and the waitresses have a salary every single person in that restaurant has a salary, and it’s paid by the hour, so whether I choose to leave a optional service charge or not, that should not result in me being removed from a well established restaurant I’m going to take this further until that WITCH is fired and I will not rest even if I have tocome back to the restaurant myself. I have never in my years of being a waitress had to ask somebody for service charge. If they choose to take it off, then they take it off. she kept telling us all I am the manager I don’t care I just want to help everybody else out well we were going to help out too!. You can’t force us to put a certain amount of money that we don’t want to put and you don’t know people situations if we choose to go and spend our money to go out to eat but we can’t afford service charge then we should be able to not afford it because like I said it’s optional, whether people can afford it or not, it is optional & she did not give us the option and that is disgusting and she’s lucky I didn’t resort to further actions because she was moving like aggressive bully. Also, it was clear that her nice behaviour and willingness to cater to us was just for service charge. She did not like us as she is a racist who only is nice to people when she thinks that she can swindle money out of them. Once she realises that you’re not an idiot and a fool and may not want to pay the full service charge. She will start to throw abusive words at you. I will not let this go. I will contact the CEO of the alchemist just to have this woman fired because I am not letting this go even a year from now I will not let this go! the treatment was disgusting from the manager!

Excellent for great tasting well presented American style fast food. Drinks were reasonably priced and tasted beautifully.. presentation presentation presentation!

We went into the Alchemist at 4pm on a Sunday and I was honestly very pleasantly surprised at how lovely it was. The cocktails each of us had were perfectly tailored to our tastebuds and good value, the food was lovely (only complaint is I wished that the Korean chicken burger had more gochujang in it!!), and the servers made us feel most welcome. The vibe is very good also and it has a lovely interior.
